Wash ‘N Clean II

They damaged my dress pants but said they cannot be held responsible for it. When I refused to pay for the shitty dry cleaning service, the owner held my pants hostage until I paid him half the cost. Never go to this place. Terrible service and attitude. Fuck this place

This place is great for drop-​off wash n’ fold action.
Here’s a rundown of my typical experience: drop off bag of clothes at 11am. Get receipt. Come back at 6pm. Pay $.90 per pound. Bring expertly folded clothes home. Put in drawers. Done. They even pair and fold my socks.
For me, the overall convenience is worth paying a few extra bucks for laundry. They have pick-​up /​delivery options as well, but I haven’t tried it yet. Even with a few competitors close by, but I’ll be sticking with WnC for the near future. Well, until they lose a sock… :)

Forgot to deliver my laundered shirts the first time (but remembered the wash-​and-​fold part of the order), and two weeks later followed that up by delivering my laundered shirts 1.5 days late. Hopeless — go elsewhere if you need your laundry delivered in a timely manner (I do — the delivery service is worthless if I have no shirts for work on Monday).

Been using the for the past two years, excellent customer service. We’re very happy with them. They pick up and delivery 3 times a week for us, so we know them well.

The staff here are always so nice! They were always able to accomodate my needs. I once brought over a winter down jacket with cake all over it. At first, they said they’re not sure if they’ll be able to take the cake oil out, but they’ll try their best. Turns out, they were able to remove 99% of the cake oil out! The rest were barely noticeable. Another time, I didn’t have enough cash to pay for my laundry, since there was a minimum for using card. The gentleman was nice enough to let it go this one time. Awesome experience and my clothes always comes out right!

I don’t get why people get so peeved by this place. They do their job. My clothes smell good. They can pick up and drop off anytime. They deliver my dry cleaning.
Despite all of this the occasional random sock comes with my other clothes. I don’t remember if I ever had something missing but my memory is not that great.

They ruined the buttons on two of my shirts — they said they couldn’t be held responsible. One of those shirts had a cigarette burn mark on it once returned to me — they refused to pay me for the full price of the shirt when I confronted them about it claiming they, once again, aren’t responsible. I live in Stuytown and only went here for convenience, now I go next door to ABC Cleaners, they are SUPER nice.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Wash n clean held our laundry captive yesterday and demanded we pay them directly and yelled at us for going thru
and not calling them directly for delivery and pick up. They claimed our credit card was declined which couldn’t be further from the truth. I have proof on my amex statement. So now we have been double charged by
and wash n clean. It was the only way we could get our clothes back. I also weighed our laundry before it went out and it was 38 lbs. wash n clean charged us for 45 lbs hahaha. They are crooks! I called them out (I was terrified to do so because I just needed our laundry back) and the dude met me half way at 41 lbs. never again. They are crooks.

I like this place cause they’re open til 11 as others close @ 7 or 8 pm and have me racing to get my stuff… it’s clean and pleasant with lots of table room. Staff are friendly and now the World Cup is on in Spanish. Hours are good for me…

This is my first negative Unilocal review. It’s just not my style, but I’ve tolerated this horrible service for the last time and hope to spare you the pain. The worst for pick-​up/​delivery. They quote 30 minutes and take 2 hours. Every. Time. I’m sooo much happier with Spin City! Way faster, way friendlier, more affordable, and did I mention friendlier? It makes a difference. Plus they’ve never lied to me or lost my clothing like Wash N Clean has– repeatedly.

I sent my laundry and dry cleaning here for a year because of its convenience and proximity, what I found was rude people at the end of the phone every time, awful customer service, an expensive yet halfassed job at waging and folding, and delivery service that at best took an hour when it was quick (despite being across the street). This week, the last staw was reached.
A couple of months ago, this place ruined 1 of my shirts which came back with a huge hole rip in the back. They fixed it and out it back in my laundry hoping I wouldn’t notice the stitching work. Last week, they ruined another shirt and they not only snuck it back in, but didn’t even try to fix it. When I called asking what happened, the guy lied and yelled at me saying he remembered the shirt being ripped and that he sent it back to me immediately when he noticed; in reality the shirt had been washed and folded when it came back ripped.

I had a clean, non-​stained, high quality shirt pressed here so it would look perfectly crisp for a wedding. The shirt came back with yellow stains all over the left sleeve. I brought it back and they said it would be dry-​cleaned and the stain they created would be removed. It came back (one week later) with a number of more stains — all over the back and right sleeve of the shirt. They told me it was never dry-​cleaned (as they previously ensured me it would be), but only re-​pressed. Furthermore, they were filled with excuses. They insisted the stains they created were due to unseen chemicals that must have been on the shirt when I brought it in originally. The owner told me no shirt that cost under $ 150 should be pressed, only dry-​cleaned (total nonsense).
I wish I read reviews before taking my business here. This is really a poorly operated establishment.

I keep coming here because of the convenience of location, but in general, I think they do an «OK» job on the quality of the wash. I’ve experienced higher quality cleaners. They are cheap, deliver, and do online orders which is nice. But when it comes to getting stains out, they do an OK job. If you have a stain on your clothing, I would recommend pre-​treating it before handing it over to them and/​or washing it in your regular load of laundry. The dry cleaning seems alright, and higher quality than having them launder your shirts.

If I was allowed to give this 0 stars I really would.
This place is terrible. Customer service is rude and they’ve screwed up my laundry a couple times. It’s unfortunate this place is the closest laundromat to me but at this point, I’m willing to hike the extra couple blocks to go somewhere else.
Final straw for me would be today, I called them at 2:00PM for a pick up. I was told it would be between 15 and 30 minutes. I waited till about 3:30PM and decided to call to check on the status. I get a rude remark that I wasn’t at my apartment (uh been sitting here watching TV all day, so if you rang a doorbell I would’ve heard). So after that, I politely suck it up and just apologize and request if the individual can come pick up my laundry now and also instructed them to call my phone number when they arrive.
Well let’s just say, it’s 7:30PM right now and still nothing.
If you decide to flake, at least be decent and call. And two… there is no reason you should be flaking because you’re a damn business that charges too much.

As far as dry cleaning places goes, this spot is A-​OK. It won’t blow you away with the quality, but it also won’t disappoint. Prices are fair at $ 1.85/ dress shirt and $ 4.50/ dress pants or sweaters, and the turn-​around time is consistently about 2 days. If you’re in a rush and can’t wait that long, ask for express service it can be done in about 24 hours as long as your drop off isn’t too large.
I think they send the clothes out to some mass production place, but either way they come back pressed, starched, and nicely hung.
I’ve only every taken advantage of the dry cleaning, but they also have a tremendous set up for wash and fold, and they deliver if you’re feeling particularly lazy.
If you’re in the area, and looking for a new dry cleaner it’s worth at least a test run. I’m sure there’s better places out there but for the price I’ve been happy with what I’ve gotten.

I have used this place for SIX YEARS. When sending out laundry, it is expected you might not get a sock back occasionally. I am ok with that fact. What I am not ok with is receiving my clothes back with holes, bleach stains (I always ask for no bleach, and it is even noted in my return receipt…), someone else’s clothes (men’s underwear, fun), and just plain missing clothes I sent. I am a creature of habit & am told I give everything/​everyone too many chances, so I kept with this place (I do not send nice items out for wash n fold service). I was nervous a new place would have same issues. Anyway — I called for a pick up the day prior a bit ago & the pickup arrived 2 HOURS late, making me miss an appointment. Even when I called asking for an update/​reschedule, I was told (s)he’d be to me in 10 minutes (told this 3 times). Still I stayed with this place (I know. I get it. I am a masochist). I called for a pick up this past Monday morning asking for a pick up Tuesday morning by 9:30am. Turns out I had to cancel the pick up because I had a meeting, and I called Monday night around 8pm (more than 12 hours prior to my pickup. Plus they are open until like midnight). Was told no problem, thanks for calling, peace love and babies. Cut to today — called for pick up for tomorrow morning by 10:30am. Guy in the phone said ohhh you canceled this past week. Yes sir, I did (not my first time. Shit happens yo). Guy hesitates with scheduling and asked me to call tomorrow morning to schedule. I know from my SIX YEARS of experience to not call in the morning because they either A) are overbooked & can’t pick up, or B) take a year to arrive mucking up my schedule. I asked him if I could please schedule the pick up. «Ohhhhh no no no just call back.» Me: is there an issue with my cancelation? I use your service monthly, and have for SIX YEARS. Silence. Me: «you know what, thanks but I’ll find a new place.» Guy: hung up on me. Peace out jackass! You just lost another customer.

This place continually screws up my laundry and have terrible customer service. The crazy salesman is always rude.

i am TERRIBLY pissed. Per the hours posted on the sign in the window, as well as the obnoxious advertisement on top of the car that occupies a parking spot in Stuy Town 365 days a year, this place is open until 12 MIDNIGHT. Really? Because I just stopped by at 11:20 to find the gates down, lights off, doors locked, and EVERY PIECE OF LAUNDRY I OWN INSIDE. My bed sheets, my work clothes, my boyfriends work clothes, literally, 90% of our entire collective wardrobe.
I understand wanting to get home after a long day’s work. But you own a business, provide a service, and pride yourself for being open lengthy hours for the convenience of your customers. NOTHING pisses me off more than when store owners, workers, whoever, locks up before designated closing time.
I’ve done my laundry here pretty religiously, never loved it, but it always got the job done and it’s directly across the street. No more… the prices are absolutely ridiculous and until this point I was willing to not share the fact that I have seen BED BUGS crawling on the tables here.
I should also add that this is my very first Unilocal review… and that I was so put off by this disservice that it moved me to create a Unilocal account specifically to let the public know what they did.

The staff here are not exactly the nicest but I only come here for self-​service so I don’t really feel the need to interact with them. This place is a bit cheaper compared to this other laundromat I used to go to on 10^th st.
The floors can definitely be a bit cleaner though.
The bathroom is disgusting. No soap and no TP. Don’t bother.
