My dad is obsessed with The Painted Lady and with good reason.
We always are welcomed by friendly staff, cold beer, and perfectly broasted chicken.
They gave the outside a face lift which looks really nice and we have noticed that a few new businesses have popped up in the area.
The broasted chicken is obviously what you go here for — perfectly crispy outside and juicy meat inside. However, their soups are pretty fantastic as well.
Everything is reasonably priced.
Definitely worth the stop when you’re in Manistee!

I didn’t try the food but it smelled and looked great. They have a pool table, with some great locals. Great staff. Nice and cozy interior. Good beer selection.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! Comfortable atmosphere, good for families, and homemade soups. Glad we came in despite our initial impressions from the outside.

I recommend the broasted chicken dinner! Yum! I’d take it to go as the bar isnt a gathering place for my taste. But for the chicken dinner I would go in and order a drink and wait for my meal to take home. Delicious.
