This quiet watering hole has great class, exceptional food, a quality bar and fantastic staff. Do yourself a favor and drop in.

On the way back from Door County Winter Fest last year, we decided to stop here for lunch, thanks to my Unilocal app! We all enjoyed our experience and decided to lunch here again this year, especially since another place recommended by Unilocal was closed. Last year, I ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger and Ginger Pork and Rice soup. The soup was good, even though I though the ginger flavor was a bit too subtle. The burger was excellent because bourbon and bacon! Yes, the burger was seasoned well and cooked perfectly and the bun to meat ratio was solid. It was just great! This year, I ordered the Pretzel Bread French Dip Sandwich($ 11.25). I could choose pasta salad or fries, or I could get a half sandwich with soup. I stuck with the fries, although the pasta salad that my friends ordered with their sandwiches looked really good! IT seemed to have a creamy texture and they enjoyed it. My pretzel roll was soft and didn’t get soggy from the jus of the hot roast beef. The roast beef was very tender and served hot, not just warm, which was impressive, considering there were 16 of us and all of our food came out together! The beef was topped with sautéed onions and melted provolone cheese. It was delicious! I rarely even dipped the sandwich in the jus because it was so good without it. I will say I though the jus was maybe a tad too salty. I normally don’t like battered fries, but these were seasoned nicely and fairly crispy on the outside with a soft center. I liked them and would likely order them again. One person in our group ordered the fried Pub Cheese Curds($ 7.25) which were lightly battered and served with a raspberry balsamic dipping sauce. The curds were a bit greasy, but still really good, and the dipping sauce was great unless you don’t like sweets. I tried one curd with the sauce and one without and enjoyed both. Two servers were assigned to our group, and they both did a great job. They broke out the tickets by couples and singles to make bill payment easier for us, and the bills were delivered to us in Parking Violation envelopes! We’ve had back-to-back positive experiences and I wouldn’t be surprised if we dined here again next year. Just a note if you go to their website, the prices on the website haven’t been updated.

Expensive, good food with nice presentation. The environment was very crowded and stuffy. We were sweating in the room we sat in. Wait staff very nice. Quick service for being busy.

A favorite for years. Great atmosphere and great food for a special occasion dinner in the dining room or a burger for lunch near the bar. Regular diner and have never been disappointed. Dinners are not cheap but food is wonderful in preparation, portion size, presentation, uniqueness and of course taste. Menu is never stale as it changes. Dining room is a bit tight in places(I like the back room) but acoustics are good in that it never seems noisy and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. Owner is always making the rounds. Nice wine and draught beer selection. Historical building. Good parking.

Been here a few times, the food is pretty good. Great cheese curds! The beer could use some work. Let’s try consistently having a good IPA on tap, then we can talk about 5 stars…

Descriptive phrase: perfect place for a pint. The Courthouse Pub is an unexpected gem. We came solely because we heard they brewed their own beer, thinking it’d be a Manitowoc divebar. We were surprised to find a beautiful, fancy sit-down restaurant and an airy bar space. Seriously, it’s a gorgeous place. Sitting at the bar, we got to chatting with all three of the bartenders. Their friendliness was notable: they made us feel like regulars. We got the chance to try all five of their current house-brews(for a ridiculously-low price) as well as talk with the brewmaster. All five beers were fantastic, some of the best quality I’ve had in Wisconsin. Highly recommended for a drink, and the food looked fantastic as well.

Our favorite restaurant since we left Oregon… love this place! I had the cinnamon pork, my husband had the chicken marsala and my son had the burbon bacon cheeseburger all were awesome. Our waiter’s name was Joe and he was very helpful as we asked several questions about the area. Great place to come for dinner and we enjoyed the whole court house theme including our bill that came in a mock parking citation envelope. Do stop here… best food we have had in the area yet!

We stopped here on our way to Door County. We found them via Unilocal and saw they had great reviews, so we thought, why not! I should add we had 5 children in tow. They accommodated us wonderfully, they put us in a room where we would not disturb others, they removed the table clothes and brought out crayons, paper, AND a snack basket for the kids! They went above and beyond accommodating our group. The food was great too. My husband and I both had a burger and a beer. Highly highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area.

Ordered the beef tenderloin sandwich and my hubby got the lake perch. The food was outstanding! Raspberry wheat and Ballistic IPA are great too. Our server was very sweet and genuine. If we lived closer, I would come back often.

This is a great restaurant for Manitowoc. Their microbrews were really good. The food was very good too. Although, the waitress was so sweet and said she hadn’t been working there long, we didn’t our salads or bread without a reminder. It was also a bit pricey for Manitowoc. All that said, they are my new go to restaurant when I’m back in Manitowoc.

Items ordered: — fried cheese curds — homemade root beer — beef tenderloin sandwich Everything was AMAZING. The cheese curds were perfectly battered, and the raspberry balsamic dip was a great compliment. The beef tenderloin was grilled to perfection, exactly as I ordered it. It was bursting with flavor, with the fried onions and horseradish sauce complimenting he steak perfectly. The waitress Julie was very friendly and checked on us and kept us up to date since they were busier than expected. Our drinks were never empty and she was nice to chat with. Awesome place

I visited this restaurant due to the Unilocal reviews and was very impressed. They have a great downtown location. The food is very good and they have a good selection of dishes. The beer is good as well. I always enjoy visiting micro breweries when I travel. To me the best thing was the staff and the other guests. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They seem to have a great group of regular guests here and I appreciate that as a good sign for a pub. All in all it was an excellent experience.

It’s about 10 minutes off of I-43, but it’s worth the drive. Amazing soup. The Bourbon Bacon Burger was great. The sweetness of the Bourbon Bacon jam mixed with the savory Munster cheese was amazing. The burger patty was fresh and the bun was great. The wife had the fish and chips and raved about it as well. If you are driving by town, I’d recommend stopping in.

My partner and I spent our anniversary weekend in Two Rivers last June, and the Courthouse Pub was recommended as a gluten-free-friendly place to get good food. Our waiter was delightful, and we ended up eating there multiple times. The menu was solid, with a number of dishes either already gluten-free, or easily alterable, and the staff were pleasant. Over a couple of meals, we had the bourbon bacon burger, which was delicious, grilled Norwegian salmon with a dill sauce over rice, and ribeye with garlic herbed potatoes.

A delicious and delightful find. We walked to the Courthouse from our sailboat in the harbor on a warm drizzly summer evening, after reading Unilocal for a recommendation. This is a don’t miss restaurant if you are cruising the lake, by boat or car. Big, open, old fashioned environment, with a terrific menu, seafood or meat, it’s great. The beer is fresh, and a huge wine list for this small a town. The waitstaff is attendant, without being intrusive. And, it was still drizzling after a great dinner, so Jonathan, the owner, drove us back to our boat!

I actually had to think for a while before deciding what to rate this place. On the one hand, our server was nice and helpful, on the other hand some of the food wasn’t that good(pancakes were crumbly and dense and nobody could eat them) and the manager or host was nice but inefficient. We didn’t have silverware for two people, even though he noticed it was missing at the beginning of the meal. We had one girl bring us drinks, then another server talk to us, then a third person came and took our order. The pub fries were good.

Really good! Came in early evening on a Saturday — all the tables had a reserved sign but they moved the plans around so we could have a meal. That was so nice of them! I am not a big beer drinker but I LOVED the beer I got — a grapefruit shandy– so much we ended up getting a growler. Started with the cheese curds– battered there and so good! Perfect with the raspberry dipping sauce! I am a vegetarian who occasionally eats seafood, and, frankly in Wisconsin, it makes eating a challenge. Not as challenging as «where’s Waldo«for a child, but challenging. But they had a wonderful zucchini«pasta» made with a kale pesto. Outstanding! Husband had a burger with a bourbon sauce– he said it was good. Our server Lindsay was great. Really helpful and friendly. Wish we lived closer– I’d be a regular.

Went here after the ferry boat from Ludington. Located right in town. Very nice atmosphere. Took great care of my wife and I and our daughters. Our waitress, Angela, was awesome. Food was really good too. I had the steak sandwich, which was tender and yummy. My wife had a salad which she really liked. Our daughters had stuff off the kids menu which they really liked. All in all, if you are looking for a nice place with good food after getting off the Ferry boat, this is a convenient and wonderful place to go. Oh yeah, I had a great microbrew as well.

This is the best restaurant in Manitowoc. Every time I come, service is outstanding. John, the owner, is always around and making guests feel at home. On a recent visit, John and staff went above and beyond for my family, including getting 19 of us in for dinner together, complete with personalized menus. I eat here just about time I travel to Manitowoc to visit family. It’s a good place for fish and they also know a thing or two about meat. On the most recent visit, I had their cioppino, which is an Italian seafood stew. It was outstanding. I’ve also had duck and pork at the Courthouse Pub on other visits. It was all great. As far as appetizers go, you cannot go wrong with the fried cheese curds, artichoke hearts or poutine. Their beer is good, and their bartenders know how to make great classic cocktails. If you’re not from Wisconsin, then you have to try a brandy old fashioned. If you’re from Wisconsin, then you already know!
