Definitely no Christmas spirit today, or customer service! Ordered a caramel brûlée latte in the drive thru. Pulled away and it was something with spice. Drove back for an exchange and the girl actually argued with me. Take off your Santa hat if you aren’t going to show the holiday spirit!

Our visit here Fri 9⁄4 gets 1 star. There were 5 employees running around and it seemed like a bother to take our order. C’mon people we come for the coffee but we rationalize paying so much for it at Starbucks because it comes with a dose of positive energy. We came back on Sunday to give them a second chance and Grace took our order. She gets 5 stars! Positive energy and the service we expect at a Starbucks. The whole crew was more upbeat and attentive. Both days my coffee was set out on the counter with no announcement. I had to check out the label to make sure it was mine. Made me appreciate my local Starbucks in San Diego where they ask my name, write it on the cup, and call it out when they put my drink on the counter.

This location isn’t too bad. I do agree with a previous review regarding service being a bit slow. One time it was because the store order was being delivered. Other time, who knows. And there is one barista who is a bit crabby– never smiles, sort of acts put out over the fact that *gasp* I’m making her work! But all my drink orders have been consistent in taste which is why I come back to Starbucks. Doesn’t matter where I am, Starbucks taste the same. It’s a comfort to me I guess. Being new in town, familiar is what I need sometimes. So 3 stars for consistency in product. Would have been higher of «customer experience» was better.

Needs to work on staffing & customer service. Walked in &4 staff members in the front didn’t even greet me, smile, or even flinch(it was down time too). Then one nice guy came out from the back to greet me & take my order. The staff members would make this really loud squawk sound(like a pterodactyl). Ridiculous & obnoxious if you ask me.(I think it was coming from the short, blonde one, but I could be wrong). I had a hard time concentrating on my computer because of them & it startled me every time.

Terrible customer service, took at least 2 min to even be acknowledged at the register while the barista stood 6 feet away making a drink. Coffee tastes terrible, not like my usual Starbucks I go to everyday in my hometown. Ordered food, which came with a hair, no extra charge! Yuck, if I ever travel back to Mankato I’ll skip the coffee!

Super hit or miss. My partner and I just ordered the same drink(caramel flan latte) and his is fine but mine tastes like water with milk in it. Sometimes we go and the drinks are awesome(usually in the afternoon), other times we’ll go and it’s like someone who is training with no help tried to make our drinks and was too embarrassed to tell anyone they messed up. Yuck.

For years I have been a daily customer at Starbucks, however, the new store that opened in Mankato, MN has completely killed my desire to ever enter another Starbucks. Between hearing an employee swearing the drive thru intercom before saying hello, regularly charging for substitutions as extra syrup, getting snipped at when I wouldn’t take the drink they made when it wasn’t what I ordered to tonight’s absolutely blatenly rude barista. Something needs to be done about this store. It is one of the worst establishments in Mankato. I have LOVED Starbucks for years, but dealing with employees at this store is frankly just too much. I’m done. I’ll stick with the one in Hy-Vee or go to Caribou(which I don’t even like) before I come here again. Horrible, horrible staff.
