Called around 9:25 to place an order to go. My first three calls were ignored on the first ring. After the fourth call, a gentleman picked up. I placed an order for two shrimp fried rice and two egg rolls. I was told it would be ready in ten minutes. I get there after after 15 min and all of the employees are sitting at a table just starring at us. With an upset tone they ask if we are dining in or if it’s to go. I let him know I was picking up a to go order. He brought out one shrimp fried rice and the two egg rolls. I let him know that I wanted two shrimp fried rice entrees. He rolled his eyes and walked to the kitchen. I didn’t feel like waiting so I let him know we weren’t going to want the other, that it was okay. He then again rolled his eyes and went back to the kitchen. After charging us he asked if we needed anything else. I asked for soy sauce and he immediately said they were out. I get to my destination and they didn’t give me any cutlery/utensils nor napkins. The food was also very bland. I don’t think I’ll be eating here again. I feel bad because the owner is a very nice person and I frequent his other restaurant in Buda, but he seriously needs to get new staff at the manor location or he’s going to lose a lot of clientele.

4 stars because of a lack of consistency. The food(almost) always is good but when it’s good it’s gooooodddd. My complaint is that sometimes my chicken is just way too dry for my taste. I like my general Tsos chicken juicy and fresh– not tasting like it’s been sitting out. Either way I’ll go back because my love for Chinese Takeout will never end and there’s quite literally nothing but Chinese or Mexican if you don’t want fast food drive thru food. But customer service… Eh… I didn’t really care about it until I was 8 months pregnant and the check out girl told me «wow you gained A LOT of weight, means you’re having a girl» I don’t think you could get any more rude?! (You’re not so small yourself, girlfriend) Typically though they aren’t rude at all, and I haven’t seen that girl in a long time so maybe she’s gone. I’ve never dined in but their to go never takes long and that’s always nice when you have a sleepy whiny baby ready to go home so kudos for that, Beijing bistro :-)

A definite nice addition to Manor. The food is rather tasty and I’ve become rather fond of the orange peel chicken. The service can be a little slow at times if there are more customers, but the gentlemen working there are pretty attentive. There’s very limited seating, so be prepared to wait if there’s a crowd.

Solid 4 stars here. The food was tasty, hot and service was wonderful. We stopped in on our way to Houston and were very pleased to have a very reasonably priced lunch, with 2 cups of soup, and the wait person was personable and attentive. We both had lunch specials, I had the stir fry shrimp with light brown sauce and my partner had the chicken cashew with brown sauce. We each got an eggroll, rice and a bowl of soup but we complimented them on the soup and the waiter asked if we wanted another. Of course! Next time we’re heading out eastbound we might just have to make this diversion again!

This place is a small gem of a surprise. I have tried several of their dishes and have found them to be tasty and have never had a bad meal there. Their staff are very friendly and promptly serve you. I particularly like their orange beef, cashew chicken and their General Tso. It may be a small place and it may be in Manor but it is worth the visit.

My family stopped here the day after Thanksgiving and very glad we did. The service was beyond good and the food was excellent. My daughters had the orange chicken which was excellent and I had the coconut curry chicken and it was awesome. If you ever find yourself in Manor, do yourself a favor and eat at this restaurant.

Manor finally has a Chinese restaurant. For a long time, there was just the burger place downtown, a few locals bars, and the restaurants to serve the highway trade on 290. Then in came Walmarts and fast food. And then Chinese came. They do a lot of take out, but people sit in too. The place is small and decorated on a shoestring budget. There are bright fluorescent lights, and the drinks refrigerator and the table where they are organizing the silverware and napkins is right out there with the public. The menu is standard American Chinese. They buy decent raw ingredients — and that counts for a lot. There are Chinese restaurants where they do NOT buy decent ingredients. Lord Have Mercy on your stomach if you do a full meal at THOSE places. In contrast, Beijing Bistro is respectable. It has standards that it maintains. The food is bland but otherwise pleasant. My fried rice required a lot of help from the soy sauce bottle. My thawed-standard-issue egg roll was served plain — but they volunteered to bring me some red sweet and sour sauce for dipping. I took them up on the offer. It was sweet and sour sauce. Hot and sour soup is the same«slightly spicier than egg drop soup but not by much» that you get at a lot of American Chinese restaurants. There is no competition for eight miles in any direction. When I was eating here, I saw a lot of satisfied Manor residents chowing down happily at their new restaurant. If I lived in Manor, I would order from this place, but insist on doctoring it up at home. .

We’re very happy that we have some decent Chinese food in Manor. We like this place and frequently order take-out. The actual restaurant is very small; we’ve never dined inside. We’ve tried several selections but Beef with Garlic Sauce is a favorite. Very reasonably priced.

I ordered the Jalapeño Black Bean Chicken with steamed rice to-go. I asked for it EXTRA spicy. It was very bland and had no bite whatsoever. The egg roll wasn’t totally ‘filled’ so that was disappointing. The hot and sour soup was okay. The food was ‘buffet’ quality IMO. Not impressed. The guy who took my order was VERY friendly so that was a PLUS. Unfortunately, this is THE place to go for Chinese in Manor(for now). There’s going to be a Panda Express here before long so this place needs to step it up.

They have really good food here! The sesame chicken rocks, the general tso’s rocks, the sweet and sour chicken rocks, and they have this honey chicken that will rock your socks off! The cream cheese puffs are really good too. Pretty much everything is good. I don’t care for the spring rolls though. They have those nasty clear cellophane noodles in them which remind me of some kind of parasite worm. That’s just me being mental though. I really wish they DELIVERED! The restaurant inside is super small too. An upgrade in size would be great.

Waited forever for my food just to get home to small portions greasy greasy lo mein to the point they were soggy and they only gave me about 5 or 6 shrimp, it’s a shrimp dish how do you serve that with no shrimp! The beef and broccoli I ordered was more broccoli then anything as well Ive only been there twice and so far nothing impressive about this place food is, mediocre to sloppy.

My mother in law and I came here for lunch. while eating our chicken broccoli a BABYROACH went crawling by our table!(Where there is one baby roach there is hundreds more) I mentioned the roach to the waiter, he seemed carefree like it was normal! Ahhh! Soo gross! I will not be visiting this restaurant in the future. Who knows how many legs, antenna’s and body parts get mixed with the food. I’m definitely not interested in getting my protein from bugs!

This plaxe is right in thr heaet of downtown manor, its good but thr portions are small! Xompared to other places they hardly give you any white rice and chicken, also other places give you egg drop soup and egg rolls for free. Its nice that its so near us but portions are to small, also they need to get some. Wtter sauces. Still liked it but wasnt enough for my family of 4 two adults and two toddlers.

Woohoo! Awesome Chinese in Manor! Wish I had tried sooner, but it will now be a new fav. Delicious lunch and customer service was outstanding. So nice to see a small place that really appreciates your patronage. We will be back… repeatedly!

5 Stars anywhere outside of Austin 4 Stars anywhere in Austin My wife and I tried the crispy chicken wings. TC Noodle House watch out! The wings were crispy, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The Orange flavored beef was very flavorful and not overly battered. Loved it. We also tried the peppercorn Shrimp. It was very tasty and not soaking in oil. We also enjoyed the stir fried string beans. It was fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious. I can’t wait to bring my family back to try other items on the menu. Chinese food is good when it is fresh and not swimming in oil or poisoned with MSG. This place gets it. The chef(Moreno) has been cooking chinese food since the 90’s in many of Austin’s finest Chinese restaurants. This place is his own. East Travis county consider yourself lucky.

It’s practically a restaurant desert out here in eastern Travis County, so the fact that we have something other than Tex-Mex or fried(insert food item) is enough for one star alone. Is it gourmet? No. Is it tasty and satisfying? Yes. Do I frequent them? I do. Because it’s local, it’s good, and the service is always fast and friendly. So when I crave chicken with broccoli, egg drop soup, and an egg roll, I need only make a call to place an order, and pick it up. Or, dine in, if the mood strikes me.

Manor is small and doesn’t have variety, but with bejing bistro new in town it’s a nice change of pace. They’ve only been open for about 3 weeks so their enthusiasm is high. The owner is very nice and accommodates to whatever the customer needs and is always making sure all customers are happy. It is family owned and his daughters are the waitresses so they can answer any questions you have. It’s a very tiny place with very limited parking but the food is actually very good. My wife had the chicken and broccoli and she cleaned her plate which doesn’t happen very often and the sauce was delicious. I had the kung pow chicken and man was it good. The food was hot and tasted fresh and I gotta say… I was genuinely impressed with the little spot. For being the only Chinese restaurant in town their doing a good job. You can call ahead and order for pick up and in a few weeks their going to start delivery!!! Their business is booming and I see it will grow quickly. Hopefully the owner keeps up the customer service he currently has and the food continues to taste as good.

Really great to finally have a Chinese place in this small town. We were very happy with our service and our food. I asked for a recommendation and the waitress told me the kung pao chicken was good… She was right! It comes with fried rice and my husband tried their egg drop soup and eggrolls. All delicious :) we will definitely be coming back. The waiter told us that they don’t currently deliver, but that the owner plans to add delivery services in a month. Omg. Can’t wait!
