One of my favorites! My kids love the outdoor movies and we love sitting back with a beer watching it.

We went to this place for the first time in Sunday and it was super cool. It was early so the band hadn’t started playing yet and there was hardly anyone there. My son got a huge kick out of exploring the buildings. Not everything seemed entirely safe for small children and the playground was less than stellar, but it was definitely a cool place to check out!

First off this is free so that’s a great thing. This was a very cute/fun place to visit. It has a very nice atmosphere and the staff were nice. We went through the maze which was surprisingly impressive. The food was good as well. Would definitely come back sometime and bring some people with me. My 10 year old daughter had a lot of fun.

Was very happy to go here. The owner George treats us like family. Hamburgers and hot dogs are good. My kids and grand kids love to hangout there.

Its nice and relaxing. For the most part. Its neat. Its awesome that its such a friendly place to hangout. And its free. I’ll start with grounds… I’m not extremely happy with the grounds. Might have been a bad day. But this isn’t the 1st time I’ve been… Its the 4th. I think. Ants. So many ants. In areas that are well populated… with people. In attempt to get the ants off my daughter. I sat her on a bench where there were more ants. Then moved to another place(a fence post) to find even more… bigger ants. Looked like carpenter ants… with wings. I knows it outdoors and to be expected. But hey. That’s what we r here for right? Share our experience. A walk along the property every couple weeks with a little bait… goes a long way IMO. But. I dunno. It did just rain… and I know that brings them to the surface. So who knows. They have a waterslide now $ 3 for the wristband for all day play. Not bad. A nice tarped off area for both wet areas. They have a smaller one for the little kids which I thought was good. Lots of houses and places for the kids to explore. Looks so authentic. Reminds me of fort parker state park between Groesbeck and Mexia. Its pretty neat… I must say. They have a maze that I have yet to find so far. They have horseshoes. A very nice area for that actually. In the back there is a corral that has kids games in there. Darts. Bowling. Bean bag toss. Etc. Ask the front for what u need… its all free. Far back right corner they have a horse swing made out of a cut tire. Which is totally awesome. A slide. That goes super fast. But the drawback to this is… The landing area is… well… Not my cup tea. Couch cushions. That stay out in the weather and are muddy, filthy, have ants/bugs on them. and they move when u hit them. I nice little rubber mat would be very beneficial. And a lot cleaner. Just saying. A couple swings back there as well. And monkey bars that my son said he didn’t care for cause they were loose. Im Not sure if that’s true or not. I never checked. They have movie nights every weekend. We have never stayed for one. or came back for one. So I’m not sure how that is. Have not eaten here recently. Last time was a couple years ago. So can’t comment too terribly much on the food. However I will say it was bad enough we never gave it another shot. Burger was super salty. Fries were hard. Reminded me of school cafeteria food. But like I said. THATWASATLEAST2YEARSAGO. The places seems to have a brought itself up a few notches since then. If I’d have reviewed back then. It would have been 1 star… only cause u can’t do a «0». Now. This isn’t exactly ghost town. But what kid could resist wanting to check out the train right across the street? It was fun times over there! 3 cars I believe. Or 4. Parked on the side track… for repair so it says. Too much fun. Kids loved it. It was REAL! Lol Bottom line: Its very near my house. We will likely go back. But definitely won’t be the highlight of our day. But I do love to support local.

Agree with what everyone else wrote. Fun, homey place. Great for kids(although they don’t have milk or high charis/booster seats for the really little ones). The burgers are good, but a little salty. I had a simple ¼lb; couldn’t handle the big Ghost burger today. Crazy they don’t charge any sort of entrance fee.

We stopped by after randomly seeing a Ghost Town sign. It’s quaint and pretty awesome, considering it’s free! They have several fake store fronts, a maze and a bar with food and occasional live music. They also have a outdoor theater and a beach volleyball pit, horse shoe courts and a tether all set up. It looked like a family was renting out a barn in the back, which is kinda cool for a kids birthday party. Definitely worth stopping for if you are driving out this way!

A place everyone must visit — especially families or those in college looking for a good vibe. Everyone made the place feel like home. So many places to explore & a sublime place to listen to live music under the stars(not to mention the chance to catch a movie or 2). If you are just looking for a place to chillaxe and unwind this is it. Low-key, casual fun. Don’t be the person who misses out

I had the pleasure of attending a movie and s’mores making even here recently. It was really fun to walk around with friends, and there are tons of great photo ops inside and outside every building. It was a nice little getaway that wasn’t very far from Austin. Also a major plus that should be mentioned, they have a real bathroom! So you can feel outdoorsy, but also wash your hands.

My fiancé and I were checking this place out for our upcoming wedding. It’s probably the most awesome location ever for an event. The owner was the nicest guy and we loved the atmosphere. I am pretty obsessed with teepees and I pretty much freaked out over the gorgeous teepee he had built. We didn’t eat but we did grab a couple Dos Equis and they were cold and cheap, just how beer should be. I would definitely recommend checking this place out to just go meet the cool locals who hang here and for any type of party. The ONLY downside to this place is we went after a heavy rain and the ground was a muddy mess. After that I had reservations with holding my wedding there because of the unpredictable weather. If I wasn’t so freaked out about it raining on my wedding day, I would be getting married under that awesome teepee for sure.

We stopped by here yesterday driving home to Elgin. It is an awesome place. Taking the trip out here is worth it, it’s like a little get a way from the ordinary. It’s exactly like being on the set of a western movie, or taking a trip back in time to the old west. Its a great place to take pictures, hang out and walk around, have a few beers, listen to live music, have a good burger. Great prices too. There are outside games to play too, volleyball, horseshoes, darts. They also show movies at night on weekends on a huge screen, with plenty of seating and plenty of parking. Great place for families, hanging out with friends, your significant other… whatever. The staff is really friendly, and the owner is a great guy. It’s an awesome place to rent for an event too! Who wouldn’t want to have a party in an old western town, with a saloon!

Coolest place to go right outside of Austin!!! First off they have awesome hamburgers, but that is far from the reason to go. This is the coolest little ghost town around,. They have an outdoor movie theater where they show kids movie and grown up ones as well. Just walking around the place and seeing all the spooky buildings will keep you entertained. And I must add on a personal note that George the owner is a total cutie in his cowboy hat and boots!

This place would be awesome to rent for an event. They project movies on the back of one of the buildings. The buildings are shoddily built but that’s the idea. I wouldn’t say it’s super AUTHENTIC since they have Christmas lights on some buildings and oil drums for garbage cans. But it is really neat, and a fun place to check out. I kind of thought I might not find my way out of the maze — it was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be from the looks of it.

I’ve been out to the Ghost Town before, but I got the chance to spend all weekend out there with a Geocaching event. In short, I was amazed. As near as I can tell, George, the owner, decided to build this place. It’s like a set of a Western, except with a little stage for music, a vollyball court, and even a movie theatre. The food is good — it’s the standard burger faire, but is tasty, and they have Morningstar Veggie Burgers. Really, though, the thing that sets this place apart is the people. George and company are all fantastic — even the singers on Friday Nights were super-sweet. Very friendly, Texas people. I’m seriously considering going back there, having a beer or two, and hanging out!
