This park is my favorite spot to launch a kayak on the Colorado River. The river is wide and easily navigated the entire stretch at this point. The current can be strong after a strong rain but never whitewater strong and even with my dog at the headboard shifting and moving around I have never had trouble navigating it.
There is an abundance of wildlife and birds so bring your camera!
