Scattered Oaks Farm

I have ridden here for over a decade, leasing two horses and now boarding my own horse here. The horses are well cared for and there is always someone on site. The facilities are neat and the stalls and turnouts are spacious. There are two arenas for riders of all disciplines to use. The owner/​trainer is a great instructor and gives lessons for all hunter/​jumper riding levels.

This is a great place to board your horse or take lessons. Stacie, the owner and trainer, is fantastic, and the atmosphere is relaxed and low drama. It’s also one of the most affordable hunter/​jumper facilities in Austin for boarding and lessons, and relatively convenient to town (especially with the new tollway to Manor).
I’m an experienced rider who took lessons here for many years. I only boarded a young prospect for a short period of time, and so relied on other owners and Stacie to provide me with horses to jump in lessons and take to shows. There was always an interesting and challenging horse available to me, and even a couple that I connected with and will remember forever.
As for facilities, there are two outdoor arenas. One is grass footing, and the other is a large sand arena where the lessons are usually conducted. The barns are airy and clean, and there are plenty of acre sized paddocks for turnout. I believe there are even some trails through the woods, but I never used them.

Lovely, relaxed barn outside of Austin! I board my horse here as well as take lessons with Stacie and show in local (CenTX) shows. As a working adult, I know that my horse is very well cared for when I can’t make it out to the barn.
Stacie is extremely good with my horse and has the perfect personality for a slightly nervous/​timid rider like me! My horse and I have improved leaps and bounds since moving to Scattered Oaks.
Like others have said, it’s a super value for the area. The drive is a little bit further out from those coming from central Austin, but to me it’s absolutely worth it.
