I apologize for being honest this place is a disgrace to our town period, The food is awful the sausage were like tubes of grease. I love brisket bbq sandwiches and this is not the spot regardless of price I wanted to be satisfied with taste.

Tasteless, nasty meat, this aint Texas BBQ. Sides out of a can or plastic tub from the grocery store. 3 meat lunch plate and a drink $ 17.30(wth) These are Coopers in Llano prices and the worst quality food. Bad deal. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Wont be a repeat customer.

I have given this place several tries and continue to be disappointed with the A. Lack of service and B. Inability to make sure a guest receives their full order. We went about 3 months ago and got the same family pack we always get and we were missing sides. I called and the kid on the phone told me there was nothing he could do about it. I asked to speak to the manager and he gave the number of the owner. I called the owner and he apologized and said he was having a family issue and asked if he could call me the next day and he would get this fixed… never heard from him. Tonight was the last straw. I decided I didn’t feel like driving to Elgin to get BBQ so I thought I’d give it another shot. I called in my order and got one of the family packs and asked for sweet tea and white bread that come with the pack. We go to pick it up and there is no tea. At all. Get home and there is no bread either. My teens ran back up there and the kid behind the counter starts laughing and making fun of the fact that we went back for bread. Damn right we did. I paid for it. They sure as heck didn’t discount my $ 60 order any for not having tea or not giving us the bread. Not to mention the brisket was so dry it was like eating a brick and my dog wouldn’t even eat it when I tired to give it to him. They did however offer sodas in place of the tea. Thank you for that, and even though I can throw a rock from my front yard and hit this place I won’t be returning. I’ll make the 12 min drive in either direction and give my money to Southside or Donn’s.

Really it deserves 4.5 stars. If it had nice outdoor seating and a beer garden I might give it 5 stars. When it comes to the barbecue it’s legit Texas BBQ. If you are going to play golf at Shadowglen Golf Course before or after. My personal favorite is the brisket sandwich with a side of pinto beans.

Excellent BBQ and fixings. The brisket and pork ribs are really good. Homemade BBQ sauce. Friendly guys there. Definitely recommend.

I really don’t understand the bad reviews; maybe you guys went on an off day or are just extremely knit-picky and wanna complain about something. The chopped beef sandwiches are great! They’re stuffed to the brim, enough so that I can pull like a handful off the sides because the serving is so generous and they literally only cost $ 4.49 for each one. I also tried the sliced beef sandwiches which are equally as good. For a side we got potato salad– which I don’t even like typically but i LOVED here. My sandwich had so much meat that it alone filled me up– so I put the PS in the fridge and the next day it was still just as good! Finally we got pecan pie for dessert– I didn’t try it but the person who did get it enjoyed it. Why 4 stars, you ask? Well the sides are kept in little crock pots and then the cold sides are just kept in this serving style tray(thing? Idk? Oops) anyway– I also happen to work in food industry and know that somehow this probably isn’t the MOST sanitary process HOWEVER will it stop me from going back? Heck no it won’t. Id way rather spend my money on cheap DELICIOUSBBQ then McDonald’s or Sonic or Subway or the ever popular pizza in Manor.

Had the catfish but it tasted like jerky. 2 pieces of fish, 2 shrimp and a skimpy amount of slaw. Oh, one hush puppy and lots of onions. Maybe it was because it was the lunch special. I’ve had way better. Been there twice and it’s neither friendly nor good. It reminds me of a place in Conroe but it’s not.

I am so surprised at how well the reviews are. I really am. I have been here several times since moving to Manor and every time I am let down. Their chopped beef is the worst! There is always tons of grease just pooled all up in it. I don’t know if they are trying to use that as the sauce, cuz there sure as heck isn’t any bbq sauce in there. The brisket is super dry and doesn’t have a good bark. The half or whole chicken is small and has a strange flavor. It’s not bad, just strange. The skin is gross… no good seasoning. The sides belong in a school cafeteria. Sorry, but they do. The people are always real nice, so that’s great. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be going back. I’ve given it several shots hoping that it was just an off day for the cook, but it’s been consistently bad. I wish Manor had more options.

Delicious BBQ. Small little shack of a restaurant with A/C and delicious food. We had a family style meal for 5 – 7 With 4 adults and 2 small kids. We had 4 sides instead of the regular 2 but plenty of leftovers. Everything was delicious! Lots of sauce options too.

Bbq is good… unique little trailer set up. Plenty of food for a family of 7 and free drinks if you eat in.

The Food is great. It’s a family run with generations of relatives. They had a Rib Eye dinner with salad and baked potato. That’s what I had this time. The last time I went I had the brisket dinner with potato and coleslaw. No beer or wine.

Awesome bbq! We had the three meat plate with ribs, brisket and sausage. All were great. The wet sauce is out of this world. If you are in the mood for bbq you must eat here.

Hands down– some of the best pork spare ribs of all time. This humble, unassuming bbq joint has the most welcoming staff possible! My dad and I come here about once a month after a father/daughter date to the shooting range. There is one gentleman who always helps us and remembers us every time. He kindly offers samples while we get our orders. It can get busy during lunch, and the restaurant is small, but the staff is so efficient. We never have to wait very long. The pork ribs are always tender, with subtle smokiness, and the fat rendered perfectly. My dad loves their sliced and chopped brisket, and always compliments the moist factor. This is a very quaint spot, with wonderful, hardworking folks. Great lunch specials daily too!

Delicious BBQ place out in manor. I had the brisket and pork rib. Both had delicious bark to them and the meat was fall apart tender. The seasoning to the meat was amazing. I will definitely be back for more.

Oh man, how I wanted to fall in love with a divey bbq joint. BUT, the best thing here was the sausage and the guys attitude that was servin up food that day. Id come back just for his Texas friendliness, but not for much of the food. Sausage. PERFECT. IDK what brand they use, but it was excellent. Not fatty, or greasy, but not dry in the least. It had a perfect snap to the bite of the skin. Damn, Im hungry. Brisket. Can you be tender AND dry @ the same time? It was very chippy, but tender, but dry. I hate brisket that isnt tender all the way through, bite after bite. I had a hard time chewing much at one time. My SIL didn’t care for hers either. The sides were straight out of a can. Green beans with NO seasoning. No bacon chunks, or onion. Nothing! Open can, and serve. Majorly disappointing. No mac or mashed potatoes that morning, boo! So we got pinto beans, again, out of the can, and serve– cole slaw and potato salad. disappointing, from Sams or something. Nothing authentic in sides, which is a huge let down for me when it comes to BBQ. Sauces tho, you ask? All from WalMart and WATEREDDOWN to a water like consistency, cold, and tragic. I don’t mind a dirty-ish joint, a place that you wonder when it was last power washed, so that doesnt turn me off. the food however, did.

Well this is gonna be ruff… Living very close to the place and seeing the reviews get better and better, we had to go. Such a let down… Not sure what the hype is… The place is cool, a Dive. and nothing wrong with that all. Great Service. But the food just wasn’t there for us. Small ants on the table was the first thing that turned us off… smashing ants while I eat.UMM.NOT good… Second the only thing that was«At Temp» was the cold potato salad and the warm beans… everything else was a room temp… both had the 3 meat plate. Brisket, Sausage and pork spare ribs… Like I said. nothing was even warm… Pork ribs had a layer of fat that had not rendered down in the cooking process, and just to much meat stuck to the bone… Brisket was dry, had to have sauce(that was sitting on the table, with the ants)…Sausage was good… everything had a decent flavor… Potato salad and beans were OK. not sure if they were homemade? …No mashed potatoes or Mac-n-cheese, so the wife got stuck with corn… canned corn at that… with nothing special about it. I can’t see the point in coming back. We would rather spend the extra $$ and have my meat, fresh out of the pit, cut on a slab and tossed on some butcher paper… sides that are signature to the location and ant free…

My girlfriend made me late for the line at Franklin’s Barbecue… So I took her here to break up with her. The brisket was surprisingly excellent(5 stars). It’s the best brisket I’ve ever had, but I’m not from Texas, so I expected this much. A small consolation for missing Franklin’s. The service was underwhelming(Just one girl worker, the others were super nice). I’m not sure if the girl was in a bad mood or if she could sense my mood. Needless to say, I left my ex in tex’ and won’t be coming back to this place.
