Cypress Cellars

This place is super charming! My husband and I recently spent a weekend in Mansfield, OH for our anniversary (random, we know) and this was one of our favorite spots. We went to Cypress Cellars twice in that time because it was so lovely. The tables are located within a working wine cellar and it makes for great conversation. Our server (whose name escapes me) was one of the friendliest people I’ve met. He told us about the history of the winery, the location, and everything they had to offer. We were even given a bowl of chex mix, which is always satisfying. We opted for a flight of 3 wines each and they were all delicious. The pours were generous and the price was extremely reasonable. Because it is located beneath a restaurant, you can order appetizers and they will bring them down to you. We were so impressed by the wine that we bought a bottle to-​go for future enjoyment. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be back in Mansfield again, but this would be my first stop!

Great atmosphere with lovely wines! I will definitely return! Staff are very attentive and more than willing to help you find a wine that you love. If you are in the Mansfield area, this is the place to visit and bring friends. The best winery in the area!

Cypress Cellars is a Mansfield gem. There is a wide variety of wines to choose from, and I can honestly say that I enjoyed everything that I tried. (If you are a white wine fan I thoroughly recommend the Viognier.) The ambiance is wonderful– the tables are all placed literally in the midst of a working wine cellar. The walls are exposed brick and everything is bathed in a warm, dusky light. Our server was very friendly, informative, and attentive (perhaps because he was one of the owners of Cypress Cellars!). Cypress Cellars is great that way– it is a nice blend of sophistication and coziness. As a side note, I highly recommend buying a bottle of their olive oil. It is my favorite olive oil, hands down… and this is coming from a girl whose friend just brought her olive oil home from Italy!
