Being from the mid-Atlantic region, I take my subs very seriously. The hoagie-arena up there is much like BBQ is down here. Discussions and debates over who’s better can often wind up in bloodshed, broken families and divorce-rates shooting sky high! One thing that separates each sub joint is definitely the bread(roll). It should be soft with a slightly chewy pull when taking a bite and you should never feel like you’ve just bitten off more bread than meat. A proper sub should have enough provolone(there is no other cheese for subs) on it to say«heeeyyy» to your tastebuds while the tang of red-wine vinegar creeps in to slap your tongue. The meats should act as the Savory of the experience, lending enough salt and sweetness to compliment everything else. Try describing the«sandwich»(I can’t call it a sub) from that other chain that you find in every strip-mall/corner around the ‘plex like that. You can’t. JM’s offers 3 sizes, big, bigger and Friday Night(friggin huge). Other nor’easters will know what I’m talkin about. Friday nights was Subs for Dinner night. I haven’t had a sub from the original JM’s back in Jersey but from reading about the natives experience, these are pretty damned close and that’s good enough for me. Check em out if you haven’t. My choice? Glad you asked… Giant # 13 on white, hold the pepperoni, add extra Provolone and extra oil(regular vinegar though). Add banana peppers. BAM!

Rude rude rude. NEVER have I been talked to like this. This is the worst Jersey Mikes I have ever been to. Keep talking to me like we are in Jersey and I’ll show you my New York side. Keep it up.

Service is excellent! Love, love, love the Jersey Mike’s sub in a tub! And to the lady who doesn’t tip people, if you find that you are in a financial position to tip good service then you should! People who make minimum wage are at POVERTYLEVEL! I remember those days when I had very little. I tip whenever I can so that those people can maybe have enough money to get out of their situation. That money helps the people who need it most. So stop being a cheap-skate and tip those people who make your sandwiches and lattes!

I would eat Jersey Mikes at least 4 – 5 times a week if my wife allowed me to. I will say that I do not stray to far from the number 7 or 9(I know how boring) I’m afraid I won’t like what I order and lose a little faith in this place. It is around 10 minutes from my house but located near our grocery store which gives a great excuse to eat here. I will say for the most part the staff is great! There is one individual that pretty much knows my order I will have to get his name next time and give him some props! Always pretty clean and well maintained keep it up !! I’m hungry now from talking about it Guess where I’m going?

Awesome sandwiches even there non Philly cheesesteak sandwiches are good but their Philly cheesesteak sandwiches are the best you’re going to get in Texas or else you’ll have to go to Philadelphia to actually get one to get the best they are so good I recently tried one of their secret item menus oh they were so good its called the 99 is what I had you have to ask for it because its not on the menu it’s a secret item it’s basically the Big Kahuna and the Chipotle Philly in one I had it on a giant rosemary bun it was so good if you’re looking for some different that’s not on the menu get there secret items but I promise you anything you even if you cut off the menu is going to be good it can be worth your money I have no problem with this place at all the services awesome I’m surprised honestly no one’s giving this a five star this should be a hundred percent in my opinion but not everyone thinks like me so I’m good with that but I promise you oh it’s so good good doesn’t even begin to describe it it is fantastic awesome I mean the cheese melts in your mouth and you get the mushrooms with it it’s like heaven in your mouth well not literally I’m pretty sure heaven is going to be a lot better but this place is really good I’m giving this a five star

I love this place. Reminds me of the west coast chain Port o Subs. I like that they slice the meat and cheese when you order your sandwich. Sign up for their rewards card and emails! The emails always have coupons.

Recently I have been seeing friends frequent Jersey Mike’s, so I figured it must be pretty good. On my way home through Mansfield, I decided to see what all the hype is about. I walked in, was promptly greeted and the employee walked me through the menu and gave me a bit of history about Jersey Mike’s. I decided on the #13(Italian) sandwich, which was pretty good. To my dismay, the sandwiches are served cold. No biggie, I just went home and heated the sandwich up. Then, as I was checking out, I swiped my debit card and there was an option for a tip with recommended amounts. Seriously? A tip for someone making my sandwich? No to go on a rant here, but I think places are getting out of hand with tip solicitations. Just my two cents. Not that I live in Mansfield but I probably won’t come back to Jersey Mike’s. Pricey sandwiches, they don’t heat them up, and asking for tips. No thanks.

My fiancée is from Philly and has been searching for a cheesesteak that compares to home. This is the closest he’s gotten! We both really love them from here, the bread is perfect when it’s for a hot sub. Our kids don’t much care for the cold sandwiches because the bread is a bit hard and crusty on the outside, but I kind of like that. I love the oil and vinegar and seasonings they use on the cold sandwiches, but the main reason we come is for the cheesesteak. Almost every time I’ve been in, the same two high school girls are there and they have been really sweet and happy to do their jobs.

Had the Philly. Needed a bit more cheese & less peppers but good. Grilled pastrami(Rueben) was very good. Newly opened. Line Workers(except cashier) were very personable, outgoing. $ 15.+ for just two 7″ subs a bit more than I want to spend but will probably go back. Have been back for hot subs several times, they’re good but the large is too big and the small not enough. Last night used a coupon for a Buy one get one ½ off. Not sure if it was because we used the coupon or not but the Club we got had very little meat but a huge pile of lettuce. Very disappointed.

Best sandwich place I’ve every tried. It’s a chain but it’s that good. I love the 13(Italian) the most but everything I’ve tried here and other locations has been very good. Order by number. Know what you want when it’s your turn. Get it Mike’s way, and eat in. Lots of oil and vinegar is a good thing.

Best sandwich shop around! I have had nothing but great service at this location, and I have been there many times. I encourage everyone in Mansfield and nearby areas to come here for good food and good service. My compliments to all the staff!

We have only been impressed with the food and service provided at this location. We also appreciate the way they support the community. We know they have been a big support to Feed The Kids For Summer program in Mansfield. The #7 Mike’s way is the best!

Just went had the turkey on wheat and it was excellent. The staff was very friendly and happy. Although this was not my first time to a Jersey Mike’s the staff was very helpful in making suggestions of things I might like. I will return and thank to the employees keep up the good work.

I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. The food is good, but you only get service if you are not white. If you are white be prepared to be treated differently, and have a cashier walk away from you as you are about to PAY. Then watch as the other African American in the store tells his manager on duty that he will not serve crackers. Then you can enjoy being told that nothing happened at all. That there is no evidence of a person leaving their cash register to refuse you service. You may also enjoy being laughed at as you try to tell management what occurred. If your lucky you may get to talk to the owner who will then lie through his teeth about how he cares and doesn’t this to occur in his sub shop. So have fun at Jersey Mikes where you are treated like refuse that has no right to be in the store. I used to recommend this place to anyone who would listen. Now I need to warn people to stay away from this location, unless they like to see how people were treated prior to the Civil Rights Act. I know why this location no longer does the business it once did.

The food there is always great, and normally so is the service. Last night me and my fiancé went to get a philly. Two of the employees refused to serve us because we are«crackers». The owner assures us this is not acceptable behavior in his establishment, and he will review all surveillance tapes as well as interview all employees present that night. I appreciate that the owner is willing to step up and take action, but this should never have happened in the first place. I would not recommend this particular location to anyone.
