Me and the hubby love this place. For being kind of a niche market, they have pretty generous hours — staying open until about 10PM on Saturday. The coffee here is very good even though we don’t do coffee drinks, I’ve heard the lattes and such are pretty good. The desserts are awesome! I think the only thing I don’t like here would be their brownies-they contain wall-to-wall miniature chocolate chips(not a fan) which bake up kind of dry when they are that dense, kind of making for a gritty texture, instead of cakey or chewy as you would expect a brownie to be. Still, you can’t go wrong with any of their other desserts, cookies, muffins, or frozen beverages.

Growing up I often came here after school with my friends. I’m visiting home this week and was happy to be back. Nice spaces to sit and chat or finish up some work. The German chocolate cake is delicious and usually my go-to. I’m not really into cheesecakes, but the varieties look great here as well. The service is on the slower end, as only 1 – 2 people are up front at a time. Price point is a bit expensive for the area. Otherwise, would recommend this place to anyone craving dessert in the area.

I’m not from the Mansfield area but when I saw this place on Unilocal I knew I had to find a way to convince my friends to stop here for dessert. After them seeing the photos of the desserts no additional convincing was necessary. The cherry cheesecake, chocolate peanut butter cheesecake, and carrot cake were had and found to be excellent. The size of the pieces were large and appropriately priced. I also has a salted caramel latte that was great. I was kind of surprised that both the desserts AND the beverages were so great as there’s no single place where i’m from that do both to such caliber. We’re not in Kansas anymore toto, we’re in Mansfield and completely satisfied.

while in Mansfield today — after we stopped for lunch — we started talking dessert. i’m not sure any of us were really serious at first. we pulled up the website for What’s 4 Dessert and looked at the various desserts available and decided to drive over and check it out. i’ll tell you it was great. I had a slice of cherry cheesecake. it was dense and delicious. Danielle had an oatmeal cookie(yeah, don’t ask me). Erin had carrot cake and Luke had some sort of peanut butter & chocolate cheesecake. the portions were monstrous and everyone loved what they got. additionally we all got some sort of coffee. Luke and Erin split a salted caramel latte. Danielle had a Hghlander Cream coffee and i just had a regular coffee w/half & half and Splenda. the coffee was terrific we all agreed. if i lived closer i’d make this my coffee stop instead of going to Starbucks.

Have been a long term customer since they opened. Bought two pieces of german chocolate cake which is usually a generous portion. Today each piece was half the size it usually is! One piece was noticeably smaller than the other. Didn’t notice it till I got home as it was wrapped when I left. Called to bring it to their attention and the person that answered said they«measure» every piece… don’t think so!!! Too bad that this is now going downhill!!!

I love this place … it never disappoints. My favorite thing to order for lunch is their broccoli cheese soup and the chicken salad croissant. Comfort food at its finest. If you go and they have Buckeyes in their cookie display … Get a few to take home … #Yum!

It was just OK. Hard to find, bad signage. I had broccoli cheese soup– I’m pretty sure it had Campbell’s chicken and noodle soup in it. My half turkey sandwich was good. Coffee was old and cold. The waitress gave me my cup, and turned to the couple next to me and said«I have to make a fresh pot.» I got the dregs I guess. I also had a cupcake. Average.

Good selection of cakes, pies, cheese cakes, muffins… Friendly staff, comfortable place to hang out. Tried several different desserts and all were great.

This place is fantastic. You might think this place is for dessert only. It’s not. Although the desserts are«over the top», I recommend this place for lunch too. The sausage and potato soup is out of this world.

What’s 4 Dessert? almost has it all. Good food, good tea, good bakery. What they don’t have is hot soup and fast service. While they serve soup, it’s ALWAYS lukewarm. Though, even with lukewarm soup, it never stops me from ordering the dumpling soup every time. It’s soooo tasty! I am also a big fan of their chicken salad sandwich and hot teas. They also serve Jet Tea smoothies. Yum! Service isn’t the fastest. But hey, if you want fast food, Wendy’s is right next door. And besides, What’s 4 Dessert?‘s atmosphere is laid back. Where service is lacking on the timeliness, it makes up for in friendliness. Every time I go in, someone is smiling at the counter. One time, my mom and I ordered candy Buckeyes. The boy at the counter charged us and later told us they were sold out. The manager overheard the mistake and wanted to give us two free slices of peanut butter cheesecake! For two pieces of fifty cent candy? My mom and I opted for Buckeye cookies instead, and we have never looked back. They are a new fave cookie. I heart What’s 4 Dessert? If only they would turn up the temperature on the soup… Edit 9⁄2014 OMGosh. My sister bought a cherry pie from WFD in lieu of a birthday cake. Best. Idea. Ever. I’m really picky about pie crusts and this pie is delicious. It’s sugary without being overly sweet. And for a girl who never eats the edge crust, it says a lot when the whole piece ends up in my belly. The filling tastes legit. Not like that cherry filling from a bucket like what you get at Der Dutchman. If it is from a can, bucket, bag, or any other premade vessel, don’t tell me. I want to continue to live in a land where I believe someone out there knows what they’re doing. Also, since my last post I’m happy to say they have turned up the heat on their soup!
