Once we decided on Chelan as a venue, my then-fiancé and I ran into many of the same problems we hoped to avoid by hosting our wedding outside of Seattle. The first few venues we looked at featured high prices, no choice over vendors(everything must be supplied in-house), no tolerance for outside decorations, no weekend rights, unimpressive scenery, and they booted you and your guests out as early as 9 or 10PM. Then we found Green’s Landing. We knew it was ‘the’ place on the first visit. The scenery is breathtaking at this new venue, with green terraced lawns overlooking the clear blue water of Lake Chelan, and the tall mountains of the Wenatchee National Forest rounding out the panorama in the background. There is a beautiful, deceptively spacious pool house in which the bridal party can get ready, and an equally pleasant infinity pool nearby. Bathroom facilities are more than adequate, and ‘backup’ changing/waiting rooms are available. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the fact that they offer a working apple orchard, a quaintly-decrepit junkyard area at the edge of the property(out of sight to most passersby), and a panoramic view of the lake all made for unique photo opportunities that just can’t be equalled in most of the Seattle area. We were told by a few people that our photos look like an album or magazine cover! The young husband-wife owners were also incredibly accommodating. They were always available to dispense advice, they got the groom(myself) out of a jam by running inside and printing the vows he wrote but forgot to bring, they offered to run out to buy more wine when we ran out of it, they inexpensively rented supplies and knew where to get others cheaply, they were willing to personally loan forgotten items to the bridal party, and they let my wife entertain all her girlhood fantasies of venue decoration(within reason). When we took a tour of the very spacious grounds, I asked which of the three structures or terraces we were allowed for our wedding. I was genuinely shocked to be informed that we were allowed all of them, and for the entire weekend. I was so close to sold, but based on our experiences elsewhere I knew we were going to pay through the nose for it. So, when we were told the price, I knew we had to lock it down ASAP. I won’t cite the cost because it changes depending on attendance and with time, but let’s just say we paid half of what other Chelan venues charged and enjoyed twice the accommodations and scenery. We had so many people come up to us during the wedding, and afterward, to ask us how we managed to find the place and to tell us it was so beautiful. One teenaged attendee even told me he planned to have his wedding there when he gets married, and several others who were recently engaged(or close to it) expressed interest in having Green’s Landing as a venue. My wife and I could not possibly been happier with the way things went, and the venue and staff had almost everything to do with it. The couple that runs the place had also gotten married earlier this year(at their own venue), and so there was a sense that they knew just what we were going through and how to meet our needs. Weeks later I went to another friend’s wedding in the Seattle area. They paid a phenomenal amount of money for a nice venue, were prevented from freely decorating, and were only allowed to use on-site vendors. It was also a beautiful view, but the bridal party were treated like rogue teenagers who had wandered onto the premises to wreak havoc at this hoity-toity club. The staff were not only unhelpful but downright rude, which led to a lot of day-of mishaps which very nearly ruined the day for the bride and others. The point is this: you can’t necessarily buy the perfect wedding, but with a little research and elbow grease you can find the perfect wedding at Green’s Landing without paying a fortune. Green’s Landing offers so much for so little; I just can’t imagine it can continue. It certainly owes its obscurity to the fact that it is relatively new, unadvertised, and remote. I would be surprised if, once others catch onto Green’s Landing, the low prices, all-weekend, full-property arrangement continues. It’s just too good of a deal right now and I’m glad we caught it when we did. It should be this way at least for another year or two until it becomes more popular, so if you’re thinking about where to host your wedding, do it at Green’s Landing and do it soon! My only recommendations for improvements would be for the owners to be quicker with the correspondence. They always got back to us, but sometimes the turnaround time would be a few days or a week, which can be a little dicey in the days and weeks before a wedding. Also, because it’s somewhat obscure, the markings ought to be better. All 150 people found their way to our wedding, but fewer headaches doing it would have been nice. Still, these are completely acceptable tradeoffs for such a spectacular venue.

What a Wonderful Experience! Not only did I have the wedding of my dreams, but all of my guests were amazed at the venue. The site is beautiful and Carl and Heidi provided a pleasant and easy experience for myself and my family. Any time I needed to stop by the venue(which is also where they live!) I was always welcome. They gave advice when asked and stepped back when needed. They are a beautiful, loving couple that take joy in seeing others enjoy their wedding day. Although Greens Landing is relatively new to the Chelan Wedding Scene, they will go far in the future and this place is already in High Demand. With multiple locations for ceremonies and reception sites, this venue is one of those places every bride dreams about. I can, without a doubt, provide a 5 star rating to Greens Landing Weddings & Events. The staff is professional, thoughtful and hardworking-they do exactly what they say they will do. Thank you for Everything Carl & Heidi! Jessica Savini(formerly hinton)

Thank you for this wonderful experience. Greens Landing is a beautiful location and our daughter’s wedding was breathtaking. The view and grounds of this venue cannot be beat. The venue hosts were very friendly and helpful and made everything so easy and flow well. Consider Greens Landing in Manson for a very beautiful and grand event.
