Big Lots

Customer service in this Big Lots store is terrible. Lazy people who don’t want to do their job.
The first time I went there looking for a Dyson vacuum cleaner. I asked one of the sales associates if all of the Dysons were sold out because none were on the shelves. Can you check the inventory to see if you have any in the back? She said «if it’s not on the floor then we are sold out.» She didn’t even bother to check. A few minutes later I asked the manager if he could tell me if another store has any Dysons. He said we do. We keep them in the back because people steal them when they are on the floor.
The second time I visited Big Lots I was looking for a zero gravity chair. The sales associate said they were sold out. I asked if she could check if another store has any. She said the inventory probably isn’t updated. So it will be a waste of time. Another lazy employee. I called the Big Lots in Tracy and that wonderful employee took the time to find out which Big Lots had one of the chairs. I went to the Stockton store & purchased two.
I like Shopping at Big Lots but the Manteca employees are horrible.

There is nothing wrong with discount shopping, as long as you do your research.
I’ve been shopping at Big Lots for a very long time in many states. They have good values, but often the company will put merchandise on the shelves at the same price as other stores. Are they trying to fool us? I don’t know. It’s just good to be aware – in any store.
I generally find a lot of food that I couldn’t get elsewhere, which is a bonus, but I have to make sure it isn’t past the expiration date.
The rewards card seems great, especially if you spend a lot, and their deals on mattresses and box spring sets seem amazing.

New location… Beware of price markups listed as a sale price. See photo. Price was marked up claiming it was on sale. Manager refunded me the difference when I took items back but made it clear they wouldn’t if it happend again. I hope it DOESN’T happen again because I hate to think they are doing it deliberately.
