Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I been going to Enterprise Rent a Car for many years, but my last experience at the Manteca office was a nightmare. First of all I arrived on time to pick up my car on May 27 to on May 31. I made the reservations a month in advance, when I arrived the office was very busy, the car I had hoped to get was not available. $ 317 was held for the rental, which the manager never informed me of the amount, then when I returned, the manager ask if I wanted to keep the payment on the same card. I told her no please put the charges on my son’s card she said okay, after leaving the office I realize the wrong amount had been charged, so I went back into the office and the manager assured me that it was a mistake and she would take care of it. Well it’s one week later and I still haven’t received a complete refund. I was over charged and the wrong card was debited. I have been back to the office twice trying to resolve this problem. I would suggest you make sure you double check your contract and perhaps find another enterprise location this one sucks.

As you can see Shane told me to connect him. I have been trying to email him for over 3 weeks and still can’t get ahold of anyone. The emails come back and state the can’t go through wow! What customer service you have

Unfortunately, I have to change my score after my concern of not receiving my deposit back after almost two weeks was handled very poorly by the manager.
I’m a very, very disappointed platinum member.
1. Verified that wrong information was taken down.
2. I was ‘disconnected’ on one call, and not a very sincere apology when I called back
3. No courtesy call

Enterprise, you must fix your compensation to keep the good people from leaving.

People that doesnt know how to handle customer should just stay in a cubicle alone,

My husband and I went to rent a car, and everyone was very nice. The issue I had was the lack of communication for what exactly is needed when you walk in the door; though I do understand why they have policies they do, just the issue of communicating them. I did call prior to find out. Though I have to admit, one of the many misunderstanding’s was my fault. Just a little unprofessional. Big headache. In the end we went with another company.

If I could give them zero stars I would! This the worst place ever to rent a car. Their customer service is rude and unprofessional!
Thank God, we have more choices.

I have rented from Enterprise in Manteca two times and had a great experience both times. I always reserve a car via their online website several weeks prior to my trip. They usually call a week before the rental date to confirm my reservation. There is an option to fill out some of the paperwork online to save you time at pick-​up. I did that and it made picking up my car a very quick and easy experience. The employees are super friendly too! I plan on using them for any of my future car rental needs.

I have rented from the Manteca Enterprise location six times in 2015. Each time the staff greeted me upon arrival, gathered my information, confirmed my car choice and had me on the road in 10 – 15 minutes. Excellent service and a very responsive staff. I highly recommend this car rental company location for all your needs.

I had a car reservation with Enterprise. On the day I picked up the car. They said they
Didnt have my car and they didn’t have any other car to replace it. What the HELL! Is that the way Enterprise doing their business? I think so. Not a single word of apology to their customers. One thing for sure they are not going to earn my business in the future and I will pass the words on to all of my friends. We are all business men, each of us renting the cars more then 20 times a year. Just last week I rented the pick up truck for 2 weeks from them, but too bad not no more and ever! I don’t think Enterprise understand what the meaning of the word reservation is. I hope they will close their business ASAP, so other people won’t get stranded like me. One star is just too much for them!

Holly Crap! What a joke of a business. The manager definitely needs a course in customer service. His holier than thou attitude obviously comes from being just 1 of 2 car rental agencies in Manteca.
When I called to ask if they had any vehicles available to rent, he assured me he would take care of me. Hitching a ride from my neighbor, I arrived 10 minutes after speaking with him. I approached the counter and was greeted (not) with hesitation. I told the employee that I had just called and was told it was him who I spoke with. He proceeded to ask many questionable questions unrelated to my need of a rental. He obviously was sizing me up to his liking. He said he did not believe my answers to his questions and was not comfortable in renting me a vehicle. WHAT???
I asked him what the problem was and he accused me of lying to him. This was done in front of all his employees as if he was on a mission to prove who was in charge. He flat out refuse to rent me a vehicle, period!
I use to be a manager for 2 major rental car companies, before I was forced to go on disability because of health reasons. I was never taught this method on how to permanently loose a customer. I had a major credit card. I had excellent automobile insurance. And I knew how to read and sign a car rental contract. This was of no importance to Mr. Manager who found the need to feel superior in front of others.
Please be prepared to kiss butt when using this place of business. Driving to Tracy or Modesto for your next auto rental will help keep your dignity in tack. Good luck.

Crappy. Made a reservation because I got stranded on the freeway. Had tow truck drop me off before they open. People were inside and didn’t want to let me in. When they finally did they said I couldn’t get one because I wasn’t from Manteca and to top it all off they wouldn’t have a car till noon.

My truck broke down in Manteca last Saturday, 2÷16÷14, when I was en route to the Bay Area last weekend. I was completely stressed as I didn’t know what I was going to do. I don’t know anyone in Manteca, it was a Saturday so no auto service centers were open. I called enterprise a half hour before closing; they sent a driver (who was very nice and sympathetic) to pick me up and bring me to their office. I was impressed by the young woman working the desk — she was very professional, gave me several options, and was very efficient and knowledgeable re her job. The young guy servicing the car helped remove a back panel and flip down the seats — all three enterprise employees I encountered were great ! My rental was very clean and it was fun to drive. Thank you Enterprise Manteca.

This is my third time renting from these guys, and I have nothing but good things to say about them! Every time I have come, the service has been fast, easy, low priced, and they have given me nice cars that were clean inside and out. Cars were as promised or better, and all were newer-​model cars. The guys that work here are super cool, I was in and out and on my way in probably just 5 – 8 minutes in each case. Whenever I have such a good customer experience with a business, I like to come on Unilocal and give them a pat on the back so I was surprised to see the negative reviews! Well, this has just been my experience and my 2 cents, but I would definitely not hesitate to recommend them!

My car was in the shop and my insurance company set me up with Enterprise for my rental. The stars go to an employee named Don who was very very sweet and pleasant. He picked me up from the shop when I dropped my car off there. Other than that I must say I’ve had better service. I get to Enterprise and they start setting me up for a car and that goes I eventful enough. The car I got was a 2012 Chevy Impala. I hated every second of that car. If this would’ve been out of pocket I would’ve demanded a different car. I thought about asking for a different one anyway but this was being handled through insurance and I didn’t want to complicate things. This car smelled old and musty. It had absolutely no frills. It seemed much older than it was. It drove horribly. The gas and the brakes took a lot of effort to get working. My insurance anticipated my car being done on Friday but it didn’t get until today. I go to turn in the car and was rudely told my insurance only covered the car until Friday even though I was assured by Enterprise that they would wait to here from Gieco regarding an extension. They actually thought about charging me until I got mad and refused to pay for it. I spoke with the shop and they said that they put in the extension already and it would post tomorrow. I felt like they were blaming me for my car taking longer. They made returning the car a huge hassle. And the fact they charge $ 30 a day for that Impala is highway robbery! I will not go back on my own if I need a rental for anything. Ill use Hertz instead. In fact Hertz had a location at the shop I should’ve asked Gieco if we can use them but I didn’t think Enterprise would be a problem. Now they’re holding my deposit and acting like they don’t believe when the insurance is going to grant an extension. Don was the only pleasant person at the place. I don’t recommend. There’s too many other places to rent a car.

I had a good experience here a few years ago so I re booked… bad decision.
Did you see the Seinfeld episode where he tried to rent a car… If so, you will find this amusing.
I reserved a Full Size car a week in advance and pre paid. I made my pick up time 9:00 as we needed to be on the road by 10 at the very latest. We showed up at 8:45,the place looked closed as there were no cars in the lot. We went in and found 5 people in front of us. Since we were early we waited a few minutes then the Manager asked what he could help us with. We gave him the reservation # and he said, ok it will be about an hour because we don’t have any cars… REALLY? I said we have a car reserved don’t we? Yes but we don’t have any here was his answer.
We had to go back home and wait for them to call us which they did at 9:50.
Then when we got there, they gave us a Chevy Impala with a cracked side mirror.
lots of chips and scratches and what must have been the very base model. No frills and it looked old inside. In the hurry to get it to us they left pumpkin seeds on the floor and ash tray and a pack of gum.
Looks like I will be going to Hertz in a few weeks when I need another car.

Got the bait and switch. Reserved a full size 3weeks prior to my trip. Arrive at appt time and was told no full sizes are available so the offered a luxury tHat was available but at a luxury price. Another option offered was an economy/​compact car at the price of my rsvp’d full-​size price because they said the rates have gone up. At this point I cancelled entire RSVP and walked out. I would not recommend this branch take the extra time and go to a larger branch that will have the vehicle you reserve.
