Hwy 120 and Jack Tone Road. I make the best pies in the land. But, I use canola shortening in my crust for soy-allergy reasons. THESE pies, fresh and warm and many flavors to select from, are really the best, because they use the traditional Crisco-type shortening in the crust, which turns out oh-so-flaky-and-delicious. I will forevermore stop here on our way up to the mountains… AND back!!! haha. No, I am not kidding :)

I’ve shopped here since I was a child, so maybe my opinion is biased due to sentimental value. However, this is a great local location for fresh produce & eggs, as well as pies, sauces, jams, jellies, and nuts. Great staff and easy corner location.

Well of the perks of driving all over for youth sports is sometimes being a supportive parent also places you smack dab near a great pie place. We’ve stopped here a few times to pick up pie. Sometimes on the way up or back to Bear Valley and yes, even soccer. Last pie was a strawberry– rhubarb. Tasty! We’ve also enjoyed peach and apple. What we enjoy about these pies are they are more fruity than sugary sweet. I also picked up some veggies chips to snack on between games. Quite enjoyable and the boys scarfed them down. We’ll definitely stop again

On the way to the Almond Blossom ps on the end of Feb. Located on Yosemite street, right before Jack Tone Rd. Try their Dutch Crunch Apple Pie.

I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the pie I just got. I came home all excited for an amazing blackberry pie ! From the reviews I’ve read they are excellent. Well let me tell you my first impression was nothing excellent ! I came home cut into my pie put it on the plate took my first bite and I was shocked! They obviously forgot to put any sugar inside of this pie. It took a few more bytes thinking to myself no way they could have forgot the sugar ! Pies are sweet and full of sugar. When making a pie I know that the main ingredient is sugar. Sweetness! Well Absolutely none of that here. I have to say super disappointed ! go somewhere else. Because on thanksgiving you don’t want a sugarless pie ! You want sweet pie !

LOVE this place, it fortunately is right down the street and off the freeway from where I work, and is a go to for the drive home to stock up on veggies and fruits. They apparently have amazing pies, but I have yet to try one! They always have incredibly fresh produce, although not always predictable. In April they had the best asparagus I have ever tasted, and every week since I have come back searching for that darn asparagus and they don’t have it anymore. They only put out what is locally in stock and in season. Really affordably priced, I always head home with bags of fresh fruit and veggies at a very reasonable price, and they have awesome pistachios(jalapeño or garlic)! The girls that work the counter are super friendly and this is the kind of place that makes you want to support your local small businesses! Bring back the asparagus! Nom!

The Dutch Crunch Apple Pie was really good. The crumb top was really crunchy and the apples were top notch. It is the perfectly crafted version of the pies we used to make on camping trips when I was a part of Boy Scouts. Little bit of nostalgia wrapped up in a quintessential piece of Americana. Their strawberries are huge! They were fresh and also very sweet. Some of the best I’ve had both in their perfect shape and size combined with very impressive flavor. At $ 12 per pie it is a pretty reasonable price. The only reason I didn’t go 5 stars is because it wasn’t the best pie I’ve ever had. Granted, I am not the biggest apple pie fan and I didn’t get to buy their banana crème(for fear it would spoil on the way to Yosemite), I felt it was a delicious pie but not mind-blowingingly delicious. Nevertheless, I would come back to Nature’s Country Corner on my next trip towards Yosemite. It has something for everyone and it is the kind of wholesome family fun business you don’t come across too much these days. I would love to try more of their fresh basked pies. Certainly, one of the better highway food stands I’ve visited.

Beautiful, fragrant fruit! Strawberries, unlike any I’ve had. Just ate a peach; you know the kind where you have to suck the fruit from the skin to avoid having it run down your chin it’s sooo juicy. I picked one of the baskets, which would be considered overripe by some… the apricots, and corn have yet to taste… a perfectly ripe melon will be my next course… would’ve LOVED to p/u a 3# bag of almonds, but the $ 8+lb really«threw» me, but still reasonable, I guess, with this drought, and such good protein… shoulda done it… blanched and roasted? Nothin’ like it! The baked pies on display or refrigerated ready to bake looked fabulous… maybe next time when the weather cools down… don’t pass this stand up… nice people, too!

As I head east on Hwy. 120⁄108 toward the Sierras, I have often stopped at this produce store. It is more thoroughly developed than Jacob’s which is about two miles closer to Manteca and than Denise’s which is on the other side of 120⁄108 about two mles further east. A downside is that a considerable source of business consists of buses that stop over along the highway; I don’t particularly want to be shopping at Nature’s Country Corner when it gets mobbed by a bus. Nonetheless, it is a way to pull off the highway for a rest stop and to buy some produce at moderate(a little higher) prices. There are 7 porta restrooms and handwashing(see photo). Specialty items such as pies and other delicacies are a stock in trade, but nonetheless Nature’s Country Corner offers substantial supplies of fruits and vegetables, attractively priced. This store works best for the eastbound traffic along Hwy 120⁄108; still I would imagine that local customers from Jack Tone road, and westbound traffic on Hwy 120 can get in and out with the assistance of the traffic signal at this intersection. The signal breaks up the fast moving traffic along Hwy. 120.

I have been driving to Nature’s Country Corner for years, I used to work in Manteca back in 1983… Today I went home with 4 pies, yes, they are THAT good, The vegetables are so fresh with the«just picked» flavor. Don’t waste your efforts and SAVE the WATER, why have a home veggie garden. just shop here, the tomatoes are bursting with flavor, even THIS early in the season. for me, its now a 100mile drive RT. the PIE makes the drive worthwhile.

THANKYOU to the friendly staff at Nature’s Country Corner! I somehow dropped my wallet while in the store and a very kind customer returned it to the store. The staff was VERY helpful and sent me my wallet back. I can’t thank them enough for being so honest and helpful. THANKYOU! Plus the pie and food we bought there was really delicious.

The hubby and I love this place! The staff is always friendly and the fruits and veggies are always fresh. What else can you ask for? How about rows and rows of homemade pies? I’ve never weighed one but I would say they’re at least 5 lbs. each. I’m more of a cake person myself, but I will say the nectarine and peach pies are absolutely delicious! In a span of 2 weeks we’ve destroyed 3 pies among the 2 of us. They also have fresh eggs, nuts, jellies, bread, honey, ice cream and some other delightful goodies I’m sure!

Like many of the reviews, I too love the pies. I live in the San Francisco and I own a country home in Collegeville/Stockton and when I go there I «must» pick up a pie for the time that I am there along with something bring back to the Bay. Hands down one best finds in the central valley. If you are headed to Yosemite do not forget to stop by if not for the pies for the nuts.

The pie here is ridiculously good, there are so many different flavors, we tried strawberry rhubarb, it was soooo good, and there are also pies in the freezer you can take home and bake yourself. Also picked up a few pumpkins, some fresh corn, and some locally made jam, what a great spot!

Cute little produce market that I happened to see a sign for on the way home from stanislaus national forest. Hit the brakes and swerved in. Rewarded with two rows of beautiful huge pies — it was definitely hard to choose. $ 11.50 each, not bad pricing, and frozen ones are slightly less. They had a Dutch Apple, apple cobbler, boysenberry, blueberry, nectarine, peach, strawberry rhubarb and cherry. We went with the apple cobbler pie and it was amazing!!! The pie was overall not too sweet, delicious crumbly top, perfectly firm but flaky crust and a tart Granny Smith apple filling with a touch of cream(trust me this adds to the amazingness!). Wish it wasn’t over 2 hours from home because that pie was truly dreamlike :)

A Must Stop on your way thru Manteca! Even if you just stop for the pies! But there’s so much more. We stop on our way to the cabin in Twain Harte and get Fresh jumbo Eggs, soft delish ciabatta rolls and what ever fruit or veggie that’s in season. Last week I bought 2 huge white acorn squash. The nuts are fresh and crunchy, and lets get back to the pies shall we… The nectarine is sooooo good and last week we tried the strawberry rhubarb. It’s my new fave. The crusts are great on these pies, the rhubarb crust was lightly sugared on top which made it so crispy, yum! We are getting our Thanksgiving pies here this year. Do yourself a favor, pull over(its right on the corner, plenty of parking, And at a signal light) and check out your new favorite stop! Every season brings new treasures!

This is a must-visit on any road trip through California. I’m not necessarily talking about this specific place, but really any farm-fresh fruit stand. You’re right in the middle of some fantastic produce. Why wouldn’t you take advantage? Nature’s Country Corner is an upgrade from your typical corner fruit stand. That is, it’s not just a rickety little shack. It’s a bigger, less rickety shack. The selection is also excellent. We decided on a basket of Rainier Cherries, a basket of Black Cherries, some English Cucumbers, and a freshly-baked Boysenberry Pie. I had just discovered the existence of Rainier Cherries a few days earlier in Seattle’s Pike Place. Despite their name, I was surprised to learn they actually came from California. So basically, the cherries we picked up from Nature’s Country Corner were as fresh as could be. As for that pie, we ate that for the remainder of our road trip. We were such pigs. It was great.
