I don’t reccomend this hardware store at all if you purchase a item that has to be put together. we bought a barbque on nov 22 with the promise it would be assembled and we could pick it up by nov24. Today is now December 7 and had to go get my $$$ back as they can’t fulfill their original promise. So I got my $$ back today & no apoligiges from the store at all. We contacted the manager at least 4times trying to get our barbque & every time came up with a different excuse. The only reason I even give this store one star is the employees were at polite to us. From now on I will deal with Home Depot as at least they keep their promises. Would like to thank orchard hardware for ruining my families thanksgiving!!!

All of the employees that I’ve encountered here, have always been happy and eager to help me in my shopping experience. It must be a great place to work… All of them to have such great attitudes! Some other stores could take a lessons from these people! Thanks!

prices are significantly lower on some items than home depot, the other important factor is the inventory is awesome for many items. I shop here because I know I can get what I need to typically complete the repair. Home depot itty is questionable wether I’ll finish my repair.

My review is on the employees in the garden department only. If I rated the cashiers they would get zero stars! The two head ladies in the garden department are simply amazing. I can bring in a leaf and they tell me what plant it is. If I bring a leaf with spots, dried edges or curl they tell me what is wrong with my plant/tree and how to fix it. They ladies are aloof and sometimes hard to track down but the best source in town!

The smell of OSH reminds me of my grandparents. I remember going with them every weekend to a OSH in San Jose and it smells exactly the same. I had to make a run here earlier today to grab nails for a art project I will be starting. I usually run in, run out but this time I wanted to check out their garden section for an upcoming project I’ll be starting in a week or two. First I grabbed the nails, ran into multiple staff members and no one asked if I needed help, even after I said rather loudly, «where’s the nails?» They seem engulfed in their work and I really knew where they were so I shrugged it off. After deciding between two sizes, I head across the store to visit their garden section. I am now envious of people who own their homes! I would have the most beautiful garden! OMG the smell of spring is definitely there amongst the rows of flower, plants, and trees. I was looking for cacti and they were stuffed in a corner and rather expensive! I wasn’t too surprised at how many people where in OSH today. They had a full store and every check out line was open, which made it a breeze when I made me $ 1.56 purchase! The sales associate was very sweet and got us through the line rather quickly. Can’t wait till I start my next project so I can stop and smell the roses.

After many years of loyalty Manteca Orchard has allowed a computer mistake to cause turmoil to my Grandmother, 91 years old. The check she wrote was handed back to her no good, and she had to pay CASH for her items. SEVERAL months down the line she has been harassed by Collection agents, and this week she was served a notice from our Sheriff that she not only had to pay this, but also pay a large fine on-top of the original price. The machine that run’s checks is like a ATM, it does not allow bad checks to go threw. If I handed a blank piece of paper with numbers on it, and ran it threw it would decline the sale. There is NOWAY they would allow her to walk out of the store, crippled mind you, with these items if she had not paid. If she had stolen these items they would have called the police. and certainly wouldn’t have helped her out. OSH has done NOTHING to help her with this. Mind you she has lived in Manteca over 50 years and been going to this store for a long time !! SHAMEONYOU !!! This store will be closed soon, but her heart can’t take much stress like this. Its terribly unfair to treat your customers this way. and allow computer errors to ruin people’s lives.

We have been Orchard customers for over 30 years and have watched as the Manteca store changed hands to Sears and back again. During this time, the customer service was fairly even, friendly and easy to find. The good: Nuts, bolts, screws and nails well organized and easy to find. They quickly open registers when lines are long and it is easy to find items in the store. The needs to improve: the new orchard rewards program is not user friendly and certainly not friendly to older folks like my father in law who do not have a computer. The yearly calendar is something that many look forward to every year. This year, even though we are orchard reward members, they did not want to give us a calendar with out a coupon. The cashier was not helpful. We went to the service desk to ask for the calendar to which the response was«Even though we are not supposed to, we will give you one.» Not the customer service friendly atmosphere I expect and what do folks without a rewards account do? You cannot sign up for one without an email address. None of these questions were answered by the manager, she just said«that is the policy» While I have shopped Orchard for many years and appreciated the small town atmosphere — this latest customer service debacle is causing me to rethink.

Zero stars if I could! Worst customer service ever!!! Most discrimination I have ever experienced! Won’t be returning here! Make sure they don’t double charge you for anything!

This place is great! The customer service is amazing. Everyone is super nice and helpful. The store has a lot of supplies. I would go here before going to Home Depot.

Been here a few times, I like it way better than Home Depot, it’s so much more personal. The people who work here are all really nice and well informed, especially for someone like me that needs help in the world of gardening. I’m pretty much a certified idiot when it comes to garden work. At least with these guys on my side I’m able to help my plants grow the right way! They’re also really helpful when it comes to light fixtures, I was have a heck of a time finding a bulb to match my ceiling fan. Apparently it’s a Lowe’s only ceiling fan that had specialized bulbs, which OSH had made especially for people with my problem! Talk about a life saver! Anyhow, this is a great place with good weekly deals. Check em out!
