Very unusual, funky clothing/accessories with even higher prices. You might find something unusual here, but you’ll pay a lot for it. Nice sales people and a very interesting store, in the middle of Manzanita. If you need something special and have some extra money, you might find what you like here.

i had such a strange experience here — i believe i was discriminated against because of the way i looked. i like the clothes here, but i guess i’m not their«typical» clientele: middle aged and rich. i had on kind of a ratty outfit. anyways, i brought several expensive sweaters to the counter and the lady looked at me in disbelief: «are you sure you want to buy all of these?» she asked me twice. me: «yup!» her, after ringing them up: «ok…well, it’s going to be $ 530 dollars…» with this weird skeptical look on her face. i cheerfully handed over my credit card. then she asked me what i was doing in manzanita. i told her my sister lives in rockaway beach so i was visiting the area. she said, «oh. well, manzanita is better than rockaway beach.» if i hadn’t wanted those sweaters so bad i would’ve walked out the door! what a snotty little thing! i would have only given them one star but they DO have really cute sweaters. :)

Syzygy had a very unique jewelry selection that my wife was immediately drawn to and of course picked something out. We were in town to finish a business transaction with the owners of the shop and decided to take a look around after we were done. Julie and Max were more than accommodating and have a great set up. We were really interested in all of the different KEEN products that they had. We had no idea that there were so many!

During Thanksgiving weekend, I made an annual trek 55 miles north to the charming beach town of Manzanita. My favorite women’s clothing store is Syzygy, where I have previously bought shoes, tights and today a beautiful scarf. I hate to admit, but I am a window shopper, and rarely buy anything, and ONLY when on sale… but this place just mezmerizes me. The saleswoman patiently helped me pick out a scarf that best flattered my height and coloring, and even taught me how to tie the scarf in this cool braided knot. I also tried on about 20 hats. I usually don’t even want any help or suggestions. This shop is different and special. That’s why I gave it a 5 star rating!

My mother-in-law hates shopping. HATES it. She waits all year until she comes to visit us and then goes crazy at Syzygy. I can’t blame her. Everything in this store is lovely and cozy and the owners have fabulous taste. Most of my favorite things in my wardrobe come from here– the things I find myself reaching for time and again. Purses, socks, scarves, hats, sweaters, beautiful and comfy pants. They are on the spendy side, but not for the quality of products they carry. Also, they have great sales. One of the only places you can count on to be open on Laneda Avenue.

Manzanita is a small town with one block of fun, little stores. Sometimes you go in to these towns and you either think — yikes– spendy, little yuppie stuff, or the other way around — yikes –it’s a bunch of Made in China crap. I won’t name the 2 coastal towns I’m referring to but Manzanita is not one of them. The shops do not seem to change too much over time either so you can really count on that nice, familiar feel to this little coastal town you like visiting. They have some different clothing brands that you cannot find in just any store. I like this because a lot of times you have to be online to purchase these brands and you don’t get to touch and feel, and even try on before buying otherwise. They’ve got some higher-end shoes and unusual jewelry. The racks of clothing give you a lot to choose from too. They even had a sale so I managed to find an item that would usually be 5 bills down to 2. Not too shabby either.

This store has great style with a bent toward environmentally friendly and outdoor products. Some of the merchandise is a little too old for me(visions of Coldwater Creek), but they also have a lot of Smartwool products, one of my faves. We were there on a holiday, so it was nice to see the store open and the owner was wonderful about offering suggestions without being pushy in any way. The items they stock are on the high side with just a rack or two of sale items. Not a place where I would purchase something on every visit, but certainly there is a nice selection, especially when I’m shopping with my mom.

We go to the Oregon coast from Seattle every summer and we never miss a visit to Syzygy. I am always surprised by this store. They have amazingly good taste and there is ALWAYS something that I cannot pass up. The prices are great and quality is fantastic.

This store is wonderful! You cannot leave without buying something. I ended up buying several key additions to my wardrobe. The owners really know their merchandise and can help you find that perfect fitting jean in no time! They have handbags, clothing, furniture, art, jewelry, shoes, accessories – everything! It really is worth the trip from Portland. Anytime I hear someone tell me they are taking a trip to Portland, I tell them not to miss this wonderful shop!

No visit to «the beach» is complete without visiting Syzygy. Plan to spend lots of time covering the fantastic clothes and accessories in this perfectly packed store. If you want a tasteful souvenir to remember your trip to this cute little beach town, there is art, jewelry, and furniture to take back with you. The owners are helpful and fun. They really care about you. You will soon be telling your friends back home to check out Syzygy on their next trip to Portland – a delightful drive to the beach in the quaint little town of Manzanita. I love it!
