The only reason I am giving this resturant two stars is because it was a very nice location with a very clean atmosphere, but you don’t only come for the atmosphere. I was told that this place makes their food from scratch, and that it has a reputation for being very fresh. You see, I have a gluten allergy and the first thing I ask when I come to a restaurant is if there is any signage to direct me to what is gluten free. This was not the case in fact I had to talk to three people before anyone even knew what was in the food. I was informed since they do not have an ingredient list at all that I should just get oil placed on my food. I asked since it was made there why they didn’t have a list. This is where I see the issue. I was told they add this ominous spice packet to all their dressings. They do not have a clue what was in the packets. I asked if this is something that can be omitted, and it comes with the mix. I mean we have all tried to get away with saying it was homemade when we really made it from a box, but not when I am paying money for a «fresh» meal. I then asked if there was any way that I could write a suggestion box and they said not until there are 40 stores would they have an ingredient list.

Food was good, maybe I was really hungry that day and felt the portions were pretty small. We went around the lunch hour which was very very busy but the system they had on had worked.

I’m a fan of anywhere with several good soups on the menu, like Panera and Café Latte. Trouble is, salads and sandwiches are equally good, which makes it hard to pick which 2 out of 3 and leaves no room for dessert regardless. Seems very well run, too, salads very fresh. It seems a bit much for lunch, but when it’s 5 pm and you don’t want to cook, this is where you go for dinner.

My first time there and I ordered Chicken Tortilla soup. It was the saddest bowl of soup ever. It was basically a bowl of broth with almost nothing in it. There was literally 1 teaspoon of chicken. I measured. And Only 1 Tablespoon of anything besides broth. I measured that too. Even Campbell’s has more than that.

Very good food. Right price, fresh, healthy, tasty house made drinks, and they cap it off with a chocolate dipped strawberry $ 20 for 2 people. I would definitely come back

This place is a turnkey fast food trying to be like Paneras fast casual type of place. They claim the food is made there, it’s more like assembled. The quality of the ingredients is not good and it tastes like it. You can tell, among other things, the chicken is not cooked on site. Bread was cold, obviously not baked. Oooh, they have stuff with ‘seafood.’ That does not make a place fancy… You know, like the way Red Lobster isn’t. Lots of obvious money saving shortcuts in this business model. An obvious red flag, things are often pureed or cut into tiny pieces to look more abundant. Lots of canned and frozen ingredients.

I don’t know how you can rate this place lower than a five. Nice café feel, great, fresh food, incredible soups, and a free chocolate dipped strawberry with every meal. Price is inline with what you’d expect(like Panera), and they even have a recharge bar if you want to watch something on a little TV or your smart device. Come check this place out, you won’t regret it!

This is my favorite place ever! I have loved everything I’ve tried here. My current favorite is the pesto chicken sandwich and the strawberry chicken salad. They toss your salad in dressing before they add all of the toppings. Their most popular item is the combo. You can choose two– soup, salad, or sandwich. The sandwich is a full sandwich. In addition to the great service and even better food, they give you a soft piece of bread AND a chocolate strawberry with every order! I’ve also tried the chipotle chicken salad and it was amazing. Seriously. What place do you go to and are ok with JUST having a salad?! And on top of that, it’s around $ 8 for the combo! Trust me go to Zupas and you will not be disappointed. Ps– they have great desserts too!

Food was pretty good. Healthy choices and plenty of options. Unfortunately the noise level and crowds leave the ambiance a little to be desired. If you like having meals in an amusement park or zoo like setting, then this is your place! With the screaming kids and the sheer number of people, plus cranked up music, we couldn’t have a decent conversation. We ended up eating our food as fast as we could to get out of there to the peace and quiet of nearby 694.

First Time Visit for our group. This location is bright, clean, easy to read menus. I opted for a sandwich Herbed chicken on the softest, freshest ciabatta roll ever. The salad was a BBQ chicken and was very tasty, also included was a piece of French bread and a chocolate dipped strawberry. The sandwich salad combo was $ 8.95. Soup and sandwich was also $ 8.95. This is by far the best sandwich shop of this type, far above Panera or similar types.

This place proves you can make healthy food fast at a reasonable price! Great variety with custom made sandwiches and salads. Wild Mushroom Bisque was fantastic.

This spot is the perfect place to hang out or go before a ballgame or movie. I mean the wait does not take that long. Even though it is relatively new the food is super healthy. I mean even though it is fresh and made on the spot, they assemble the sandwich or salad with relative ease. It seems one of the quietest times is on a weekday night at 7PM.

My parents kept raving about this new restaurant in Maple Grove called Zupas. I had to check it out for myself. Zupas is a great option for fast casual meal that is somewhat on the healthier side. Similar to Panera, its overwhelming your first time. +Drinks: They have soft drinks as well as fruit infused water with honey or coconut water. I really enjoyed this option because typically most restaurants don’t offer a healthier alternative to soda. +Food: They have three options that you can chose from. They have Soups, Sandwiches, and Salads. You can either have a full option of one, or do a you pick two and order two. I decided to go with the MangoBerry salad and the Cuban sandwich. –The MangoBerry Salad was amazing. It had mangos, strawberries and a house-made mango dressing. The best part was that it had crush cinnamon almonds coating every fruit and lettuce. –The Cuban was really really good too. It had what typical Cubans have, pork, ham and pickles. It also had a homemade Dijon spread which was super good. What I really liked about the sandwich was that they didn’t smoother butter on the bread when they panini pressed it. It wasn’t greasy and didn’t make me feel sick later! Every meal is served with a slice of French bread and a chocolate covered strawberry. The only thing I didn’t like about Zupas was the ordering/paying process. There is so much going on and so many options that it’s hard to know what was going on and who is helping you. We were all paying together and it was a mess trying to keep our order together. They almost just need to do something similar to Panera where you order everything upfront and then they bring it to your table rather than the ‘Subway’ assembly line.

I was worried at first at how busy this place was(don’t love crowds), but the line moved quickly and there was plenty of seating. The food exceeded my expectations in both quality and creativeness. Price is good for the amount of food, plus I even got a piece of bread and chocolate covered strawberry with the meal. There desserts looked amazing, but had so much food in the combo(their most common way of ordering) that I couldn’t eat it all, let alone eat a loaded brownie or crème brulee too. Was also impressed with the service given both the volume of traffic and volume of the noise was pretty high during my visit; no one seemed stressed or annoyed by a line of people out the door!

Came in to eat at Café Zupas and was about to pay for my food and the CASHIER named Lindsey wouldn’t honor my coupon because she says«we were in there earlier today». One thinking you don’t say a customer was in there prior when I had expressed to her that I had not been there earlier today. You should racially profile someone by accusing them when they have already said it wasn’t them. she wouldn’t honor the coupon. She not only wasn’t happy and she didn’t even say she was sorry. I asked to speak to a manager That’s not how you treat a customer when it’s a grand opening.

The food is good, but the people are mean. I went with friends to the grand opening. There was an online coupon(the only condition was it was dine in only). My friends and I had a nice time and came back the second day of the coupon. Most of my friends were able to use the coupon twice, but the cashier recognized me and refused to honor the coupon. It was embarrassing– she was really loud about it. After the lunch rush died down I spoke with the manager who refused to honor the coupon, although he did acknowledge they should write«one per customer». I emailed the company, and commented on facebook, but got no reply. The food is pretty, but portions are not large. Its good, but not amazing. Update: They responded to my Facebook post. They said I am welcome to use coupons in the future and welcome back in the store.(I’m not sure why that is even something they would say, of course I should be able to shop at their store), They did not address the problem: I paid double because they wouldn’t honor their promotion.

I’ve been talking about this place all week and have been dying to try it. Everything is very fresh and I really like the concept but I have to say I was super bummed about my salad. I got the full size nuts about berries salad and there weren’t so many nuts or berries in my salad at all… it was basically just lettuce and more dressing than I knew what to do with.(2 ramekins for what!) Will I be back? Definitely not for a salad. maybe for the all natural tea. didn’t see it until I was all checked out or I would have got it.

This place was PACKED!!! Came here during the lunch hour — around 12:30 — and there were a dozen people ahead of me in line. Despite this, I was only in there for 10 – 15 minutes before I was walking out of there with my to-go soup and salad with a chocolate dipped strawberry ;-) I love how the menu actually shows a picture what each soup, salad, and sandwich looks like. It’s a pretty fool-proof method for a menu. I ordered from the«Pick 2» option(similar to that at Panera) where you can order a sandwhich/soup/salad. I chose the sandwhich(Turkey Spinach Artichoke) and soup(Yucatan Chicken Tortilla). The portions are XXL when you do the pick 2. Both the sandwich and soup were good. The sandwich was yummy and flavorful, I would get it again. The chicken tortilla soup was a little bland, although I appreciated that it came with avocado on top :) I’ll definitely come back soon to try some of their salads and the Million Dollar bar! I recommend coming before or after the lunch rush to avoid chaos and a busy parking lot.

We found out that Zupas opened in Woodbury awhile ago. Having been to the location in Nevada, I knew it was going to be worth the trip to the ends of the world. Thankfully, in looking up the address on Unilocal,we learned that a Maple Grove location recently opened up. Day. Made. Café Zupas is located in a corner of the strip mall in The Fountains shopping development. It is really close to the Verizon store and Chik-Fil-A. Overall, parking and maneuvering in there was not bad. I’d hate to see that parking lot packed though. You walk in and it is bright and open with directions posted so you know what to do. It is cafeteria style salads, sandwiches and soups. The staff were very friendly and the menu board was huge, with pictures next to each item. I tried the pick two menu, salad and soup. The salad was the kale and quinoa one that was thrown together with an herb vinaigrette, the kale and quinoa, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, and some Parmesan. This is how one eats kale. It was delicious and full of zest and life. The soup was the roasted red pepper lobster bisque. Yes, you read that right and it was every bit as good as imagined. I’m still thinking of that soup and how excited that I am that it is in Maple Grove. All meals come with a complementary piece of bread and chocolate covered strawberry. It was such a nice way to end a very great lunch. Zupas almost makes me want to start looking for a house closer to maple grove, simply for the easy access.
