A nice place to try a good selection of craft beers. The pints are reasonably priced and there is an ever changing line up of hoppy goodness. They do not serve food, but there is often a food truck parked outside(check the calendar on their website to see who will be there and when).

Brews need a lot of work and taste very amateur with off flavors. Taproom is kinda boring, meh. Overall, not impressed for a long drive outside the cities. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Yay for another brewery in the northern burbs! I’ve been wanting to stop by here for a couple weeks ever since I typed in «Maple Grove brewery» into Google on a whim, and they popped up. They’re just a 5 minute drive from our place in Brooklyn Park, so naturally I was intrigued. We swung by last night around 9:30. It’s a bit off the beaten path in an industrial park. It was dark and my husband decided to turn the GPS off so I had to make two u-turns and backtrack, but we finally found it. So first off, it’s a smaller(than your average NE brewery) place. Plenty of bar seating, a couple big TV’s, a shuffle board, some board games in the back, and a bunch of tables disbursed throughout. It was not crowded at all, which I appreciated. I’m pretty sure the two brewers were at the bar having a beer and their wives both behind it serving the beer, now that I’ve been to their webpage and seen what they look like. The gals were friendly, even took our orders for another round at the table instead of us having to go up to the bar. For the beers on tap at the time of this review, they had a cream ale, two types of IPAs, a stout, and a scotch ale. They have flights of 4, so I had everything and picked the IPA that sounded the less offensive of the two(if you’re curious, A Little Hoppy is what I picked, Hopfull was the other one IIRC). We were both pretty impressed with the beers actually. The cream was probably my favorite, nice easy drinking and good flavor. The IPA I picked was actually quite pleasant(my husband got the other one, it was much more hoppy than mine), the stout spot on, and the scotch ale, awesome! Not a lot of detail I know but I don’t want to bog you down with the flavor profile of each beer: p But they were all definitely a win. As of now they’ve been open about 11 weeks, one of the gals behind the bar told me. We’ll definitely be back, I’m excited to see what new beers they will develop. We’re already talking about how we can just bike over there once the weather warms back up, so I foresee us joining their tap club in the very near future!

Ok. I’ll be honest with you. I don’t know how to talk about beers, but I’ll go ahead and do my best to capture the utter essence of this grain based beverage. Because I’m starting to grow a penchant for this refreshing drink. And because of the cheese curds. As a visitor from Southern California, where craft breweries are all the rage, OMNI definitely fits my palate and definition of what a cool brewery is to be. Warm and cozy with giant cylinders in the back drop were all the magic happens. The servers are so nice, it makes your body warm from all the niceness. I mean, it’s Minnesota-nice right? Now onto the beers. Even though the selection is limited, they are all easy to drink and quite tasty. And I’m a girl so that’s saying a lot. I snuck a few drinks of my beer drinking fiends and to be honest, I liked all of them! –Sweetness: Well, the name got me first, but this black and chocolate malt w/a hint of coffee really brought this home. And since they used nitro, the beer was a lot smoother and creamier. It tasted like a smooth toffee coffee minus the sugar. MYFAVORITEEEE of them all! –Lake Day: I have a soft spot for anything with cream. Ironically, this was my first time drinking a cream ale. And I loved it. Especially with my pipin’ hot cheese curds from the food truck outside. –A Little Hoppy and Hopfull(2 different beers!): I normally do NOT like hops, but this IPA was blended with some malt which made it more consumable for my palate. I definitely enjoyed this as well with the cheese curds and poutine. –Omnipotent: If you like strong, you’ll like this one. Prob best to drink this with a DD. Note– do not let me be your DD because roles tend to reverse with whomever I go out with. Just sayin’. For the ambiance, selection, local food truck outside and the nice people in general, this place was great. Even though I am surrounded by a ton of great breweries in California, I found a home away from home– actually… my Husband’s hometown. So thank you OMNI. You provided a great place for us to catch up with friends and for me to get away from the in-laws. Cheers to that! *CLINK*

Yay!!! A taproom/brewery has returned to the NW Suburbs. Kudos to OMNI for filling this sorely needed niche. A taproom you will love. The homegrown start up atmosphere we all love in new taprooms. Basically — a feel info like your sitting in your neighbor’s garage. Industrial park setting. The garage doors are open on this day. It’s 80 degrees today — not a cloud in the sky — listening to Pink Floyd/watching football — Awesome. The beer — I had the ‘A Little Hoppy’ IPA and the ‘Sweetness’ Stout. Both very good/solid beers. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. I’ll be back.

I really liked their Sweetness stout and love that there is a brewery close to home. However, people in the suburbs insist on bringing their kids, so I will probably only come back late at night, when they are hopefully in bed. I will probably keep heading into NE to go to breweries that cater to the 21+ crowd. My husband, who hates IPA’s really enjoyed theirs.

Amateur brewing… Had their Hop Full IPA… very cloudy and had sediment in the bottom of my glass. My friend had the pale ale and was as cloudy as mine… Not impressed at all

The color scheme and overall décor make this a wonderfully warm and cozy taproom. There are a variety of seating styles which creates sections but the taproom is still very open and, most importantly, easy to grab a great brew. My friend and I certainly took advantage of the shuffleboard, and the TVs are extremely visible and would make this a great place to go for a game. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful — from the numerous beers to the growler I got(which didnt last long at home).

Nice new addition to the city. The taproom is cozy, yet modern. Food truck out front on Fridays and Saturdays for those needing something for the belly besides suds. You can also order from pretty much anywhere in Maple Grove that delivers, be it pizza, sandwiches, or the like. There are a few big screens and shuffleboard for side entertainment. The owners, Justin, Zack, and Steve were out meeting and greeting the large opening day crowd. The gals working the taps were speedy and friendly. No pretenses here, folks. Just some people filling a need for good craft brew in Maple Grove. I’ll be back again and again. UPDATE: It has been about 2 months since Omni opened for business. They seem to be hitting their stride. I’ve become a bit of a regular and it is nice to feel like a part of a community, which is a thing that is sorely lacking in the ‘burbs. I’ve learned that everyone working there is a family member of one of the owners or co-worker from their«day» jobs. That’s a nice touch and you can tell they all get along pretty well. Yes, yes. The beer. The current selections are: *Lake Day(a session ale – their lightest offering, 4.9% ABV, 30IBU) *A Little Hoppy(a session IPA-good hop nose/flavor, hoppier than Hopfull, 4.6% ABV, 65IBU) *Hopfull(an IPA with more of a smooth malty finish, 6.0% ABV, 80IBU) *Sweetness(stout, good balance of chocolate/coffee, not overly sweet, 5.5% ABV, 29IBU) Coming around Thanksgiving is Omnipotent, a Scotch ale that is 8.0%. Should be a hit. All beers are $ 5 a pint. Lake Day and A Little Hoppy growlers are $ 12 and Hopfull and Sweetness growlers are $ 14. Join the Taproom Club and get 22 oz. mugs for the same price as the 16 oz. pints. Here’s how that works: pay $ 100, which includes a t-shirt, 2 pint glasses(empty), and LIFETIME of 6 extra ounces of beer with each drink you buy. It’s a great deal! Trust me. I did the math for you. The shirt and pints are a $ 25 value, so essentially for $ 75 bucks you get an extra $ 1.88 worth of beer every time. It doesn’t take long for payback on that. Only 40 beers if you value the shirt and pints, 54 beers if you don’t. If you’re local and like beer, there’s no reason you shouldn’t join. Plus you get a membership card with your name on it. That’s a credential worth having.
