Josie’s Antiques Barn

Not even an antique store here. Antique store is out of business… Don’t waste your time driving up this disastrous driveway!

I love this place. I could spend hours looking through the barns. There is a lot of furniture… most needs some TLC. Great prices.

This store is more like an experience. Out in the boondocks, you have to keep your eye out for the sign in the middle of corn fields and take a unpaved road back to the farm. Once there, it’s hard to know where to start. There is a large building, a number of smaller out buildings and a two story barn full of antiques. Although it may not be apparent at first, the merchandise is orderly and easy to look through. The prices are good and well chosen, very little knick knacks.
The owner was friendly and offered me a homemade cookie. There are chickens, peacocks, goats and small horses on the property as well as a couple of dogs who barked at me as I drove up and immediately lost interest when I got out of the car.
Worth the trip.
