QD Nails

I went to the salon because it was close. I will be traveling further from now on. The first time I went I asked for a refill with a French manicure I sat in the chair for almost 2 ½ hours. I went to a few other places and decided to give them another chance. The next time I went I was out of there in only an hour and a half !! But the nails I got were chipping within 24 hours. I went for my final time this week. Again I asked for a simple French design with a simple black like. I was given white tips and a swirl design but I accepted it because I didn’t have time for her to take off and re paint the nails. They are very very slow and every time you go there whether it be for nails or to get your eyebrows done they are very pushy about getting other services done. They are not very professional at all. Has gone WAYY down hill since Amy sold the place !

Only gave one star because there is no option to give 0 stars! This place is AWFUL! Not from the area but I was in town for the weekend and needed to get a new gel manicure. I was originally going to try Posh Nail Spa (about 5 minutes away) but when I got there they were booked. This was the next closest place and I figured you really can’t mess up a gel manicure… BOY WAS I WRONG.
To start, I walk in and the woman is basically shouting at me to sit down in one chair, then tells me I have to get up and pick a color (as if I was just supposed to magically know). In the process of deciding between 2 colors and she goes «Well you have to sit down first!!!» She helps me pick and then gets to taking off the gel that I have on. Most places I’ve been to do the foil-​cotton wrap around your nails to soak them off – nope! She just throws my hands into a bowl of 100% acetone. If that wasn’t bad enough she starts painting her own nails and with some other gel polish and standing (much too close) next to me to use the UV Light that I would be using if she were actually focused on the CUSTOMER.
When she finally does get around to painting my nails, she misses corners and when I ask her to fix them she says she’ll just do it on the second coat. When she’s putting the top coat on I notice the polish has started getting wrinkly and bumpy looking, so I ask her what is going on. She has no idea so I ask her to just take them off because at this point its been 45 minutes and I had other plans. She leaves and has another, younger, much nicer girl take the polish off, then offer to redo it in another color. I say no thanks because I don’t have time to sit for another 30 minutes.
Left with no polish, no gel, and they STILL made me pay. They tried to make it seem like they were being nice by charging me 10 for the «manicure» (quotations because my nails were poorly filed and uneven) instead of the regular 25 for the gel. To top everything off they had one TV that was playing family feud from what looked like the 70s! Safe to say thats the last time I’ll ever stray from my nail salon back home.

Best nail salon. Can’t afford to go very often but when I can I always go here. They are very nice, friendly and professional, do a great job and low prices!
