I made my 45 minute drive to the barbershop and waited for half an hour. To say it was all worth it… would be an understatement. The haircut I got from Mary had me sold. She didn’t try to put gel in my hair to hide any mistakes. She didn’t have to. She took her time to hear me out and really get to know what kind of cut I was looking for. I emphasize on that, because being a young guy losing hair, it was a bit stressful. Mary takes her time and works with you to ensure a job done right. I don’t know about most people but after getting a haircut, you either have finally found someone you trust to always give the perfect cut, or you want to grab a weed wacker and give the hairstylist a hairstyling of your own from the frustration of getting another butchered haircut. Dicks barbershop is one of those places that’s a local secret and I see why.

Mary does a fantastic job. Her work is very detailed and meticulous. I moved from the east coast and had trouble finding a good barber until I walked into Dick’s Barbershop.

I have been coming into Dicks for close to 20 years now. Jason can do the best flat top in the state. This place is friendly, clean and you might get some good ribs on a Saturday morning if your lucky. Ralph, Mary and Jason are all awesome so if you want a good place to get a cut this is it.

The only place I go for a haircut. No gimmicks, no drama or «stylists». Barbers that know how to cut hair, make small talk, and get you on your way.

For me, this IS as good as it gets. Its a real barber shop, not a cookie cutter establishment or a place that is trying too hard to cater to Manly Men. You walk in, get recognized and get served in a timely manner and plenty of entertainment if you do have to wait. Currently there are only two Barbers, Jason and Ralph, who are looking for a third. Even if you’re down in Covington, make the trip up the hill to Dicks Barber Shop.
