Taylor Creek Quilt Studio

I took the Sample/​Beginner class and it was fast paced. It is crazy to think that we could accomplish the whole quilt in 3 4 hour classes. Even with extensive homework there is a alot to learn. Also, the first week there was only 3 of us and that was a good number. The following week we returned and there were new people to the class; which seems silly to me that they would pay for the class and start so far behind. I mean they were SOOO far behind, it was a distraction to us to them and the instructor. The instructor was great, really — fantastic.
I am giving 3 out of 5 stars because I was not advised of 10% discount of materials until class. The instructor and owner are both knowledgeable and attentive but they can get a little off-​track. There will be extensive homework and effort if you want to finish this project during class.
I will be back. It’s a lovely store with lots of pacific nw fabric choices. it’s a bit crowded for my taste, it’s the absolute opposite your standard chain store, filled to the brims with high quality fabrics and if the owner is there you can glean some of her knowledge in fabric choices.
Parking is a bit of a bear as they are squished between the groomers and tint shop but there is other parking behind the gas station.
