I’ve been seeing Rae for a couple of months now. The service is fast, friendly and accommodating (as much as possible). The first time I went was because I had found an waxing deal for them online and after researching their reviews, thought it couldn’t hurt (well, maybe if your pain threshold is not that high it could). I was leaving on a flight, for South Africa the next day and needed to be seen ASAP. Rae came in earlier that day just so I could be seen before my flight. I was worried about aftercare and complications since it would be two days of travel to ZA plus, I was meeting my mother-​in-​law in London on my long layover to see the sights. Luckily no issues came about as Rae assured me that I should be fine. There is even a re-​booking discount for waxing services. Not sure about hair though. Rae made me feel very comfortable which is great given the nature of the services I was requesting.

My very pale friend showed up at my house one day with a brown, natural looking tan and I was shocked when she told me it was a spray tan. My next thought was she must have spent an arm and a leg on it, but nope! Only $ 25. I decided to go to this salon to find out for myself and after seeing the results, I WAS IN LOVE. There is not even a tint of orange in this tan at all (no matter how pale you are) and I had no streaks! The staff is super nice and helpful when you have questions. I’m glad I found this place. Thanks Aric Ashley’s!

I liked the fact that my Brazilian wax was quick! I was however kept waiting about 15 minutes for the appointment, but since she was quick, that made up for my waiting. The lady (owner) is the only one who does them and although she could have been a little more friendly, I think it worked out well as I walked out of there with what I wanted and no leg cramps. She used the hot wax and i can say that it was one of the best sessions I had. I believe that they do charge $ 50, but I had a coupon. Being a student, it is pricey, but with a discount it is well worth it for the wallet and the service!

Do not go here to get waxed. I was waxed by Janet and it was not at all thorough. She sent me home having missed some pretty obvious patches of hair.

My mother and I went to Aric Ashley Salon this past weekend for belated Mother’s Day pedicures. We had two separate appointments 30 minutes apart, but when we got there, they said we could have them together, which was awesome.
We both left really pleased. Stella is hilarious and was very kind to my mother (who was anxious about being berated about the state of her feet, pre-​pedicure). The massage chairs were nice, and they were easy for my 8 &½ month pregnant self to get in and out of without too much trouble. (I also liked that the chairs push back from the tubs quite a bit so I could really stretch my legs out instead of perching like a hawk practically right on top of the pedicurist the entire time, which is very uncomfortable… Rita’s.)
$ 35 for a good 30 minute soak (with lots of bubbles!), scrub, foot and calf massage, LOTS of cuticle oil and a great paint job AND an amusing stylist with a Jersey accent? We’ll definitely be back.
