Menu isn’t what it used to be, meaning not alot of options but it’s not so bad. Typical of a big chain restaurant I guess. Customer service is great though! I come here in the mornings and never had bad service :)

Denny’s offers Free meals to «Veterans» on Veterans day… but what is in the fine print is: Active, non-active or retired military. Must have Military ID. That means it is NOTFORALLVETERANS !! A DD214 is not valid for the meal. As a Veteran I find this to be mis-leading to tout Veterans Days free meals and only offer it to lifers or those with active /reserve status. They are using Veterans days to advertise like they are doing something for all Veterans. I will not go to Denny’s again!

If I could give them a zero star, I would. I’m here on a Wednesday night and the place is half full. After 20 minutes of waiting for the hostess to seat is, it took another 20 minutes to get our server to acknowledge our existence. The food is what it is being a low grade chain, but the service is absolutely terrible.

I guess it is time for me to give a review of Denny’s. I have only been a customer for 40 years or so. Been a customer here in the Twin Cities and out west when I lived out there. Denny’s seems to get a bad rap sometimes, just for being a national chain. In all my visits to a Denny’s, I can only remember a couple of times the food was not cooked properly. Hard to remember all the visits, but as a guess, I will say over 150. I do remember ordering eggs over medium and they came out over hard. That was quickly resolved. I can understand an error when ordering eggs over easy and coming out over medium. That can be a matter of interpretation. But over hard vs over medium, there should not be a discrepancy. But there was and it was quickly fixed. Now service, I will admit can be spotty. I used to frequent the Roseville location for breakfast. Service was always very good in the mornings up until around 1PM when the morning waitresses went home. In the afternoons or evenings service was all over the board. So I just did not go there when wanting a burger or other type of sandwich. Burgers are good, but you also need good service to enjoy a meal to. That did not happen often. After the Roseville location closed, I tried going to the Maplewood location for breakfast once in a while. They had counter service in those days, so if dining alone, I would take a seat at the counter. I might not be noticed as a new customer for 15 minutes or more, before a server would ask for an order. Generally, I would order coffee while I decide what I want. I would get the coffee and it might be another 15 minutes before being asked for my order. On a few occasions, I would leave enough for the coffee and leave. They did not have a clue that their service was too slow. Not sure how long ago, but they remodeled and took out the counter. I have not visited this location in a long time, because of such poor service when I tried. A couple of months ago, I decided to try again. I was seated promptly and was given time to look over the menu and was asked for an order in a decent amount of time. I ordered an omelette that I very much enjoyed. So much so, I went again a couple weeks later. But at $ 15 including tax/tip, I can’t go there as often as I would like. I went the other day, again for breakfast and ordered a Skillet Breakfast. Again, cooked properly and enjoyed the meal too. If you are traveling and feeling hungry, you can rely on Denny’s to give you a decent meal at fair pricing. But service might be slow. If you can handle that or willing to talk to the manager about the poor service, you will not leave hungry. I am not willing to talk to the manager about the service. They do not pay me to assist in running their store. They want to run it in the ground or suffer poor sales, they have the right to do so. And they are open 24 hours. Anyone who travels knows how nice it is to be able to get a reliable meal at any hour.

there food is not that good well any more there food quality went down I think they are buying worse quality food to cook and serve to the costumer at as high if not higher price than before and putting less on the plate. and there salad lettuce was like they cut it at least 4 – 6 days before they served it to me plus they tend to not be consistent in portions and quality skillets tend to come up short on proper amount of each ingredients and burnt pitch black the food at the bottom of the skillet any ways I end up with leavings a bit on the skillet cause its burnt beyond eat able. Inside is outdated and in need of a good remodeling. the staff could use some retraining including kitchen staff. so eat there at your own risk I tend to leave there disappointed every time I only eat there when my dad is buying me a meal other wise I wouldn’t eat there at all.

The food isn’t the most amazing thing in the world but hey Denny’s after all. The place is clean and the service is great with fast and efficient wait staff. The waitress that help me Little Engine(Andreanna) is amazing, she’s always very cheerful with a great attitude with fast service to match. Overall the feel of the place is wonderful, I’ll head there anytime I’m bear the mall to grab a bite to eat.

I give Janet and the workers 5 stars, but the organization itself deserves less. It was understaffed on my visit. The food itself is of good quality, fluffy biscuits and eggs and hearty meats. I like the ability to choose my Grand Slam. I could have loaded the whole thing with meat!

Server was very nice. Only thing good about the place. Food was tasteless. Place was dirty. Had to get another salt shaker because the one at our table was caked with something. Bathrooms were filthy.

I come here with friends now and then… I am not a big breakfast person unless you do burgers for breakfast. So when I come here I always get dinner for breakfast. Thank goodness for the 24 hr menu This place has a hard time keeping employees and you know it must be the management. Try not to get too many veggies because it has freezer burn… I got the freezer burned«dippable veggies». If you come here then go for the fried stuff. You can’t go wrong there. Staff is friendly and food is standard. Lots of fat and grease! Enjoy.

Your typical Denny’s across from the Mapplewood Mall, it was a little busy when I showed up and the service was nice and fast being they were busy. They cook my food to order. I’d come back again.
