Amazing restaurant! I highly recommend the Paneer Makhani and the cheese stuffed Naan.

I desperately want to like this place considering it is the only Indian restaurant in town, but I just can’t. I’ve ordered take out from here a handful of times and the food is OK, not great, and way overpriced. I usually get the butter chicken, and while the sauce is good, the chicken is often tough and inedible. Also, the staff is not particularly friendly or helpful.

Very pleased with the food and service here. My new local go to Indian food spot.

This place I tried to order from and they wouldn’t deliver due to it being less than $ 45! The mileage from them to my address is 2.9 miles and they said it was more and couldn’t do the delivery! Ridiculous

No matter what I order here, I always find it amazing. But I think the mango chicken is one of my favorite dishes. I love the sunlight that comes through the front room during lunch.

We had a great time here! The food was the best Indian food we’ve had in NJ. Atmosphere is great and we had good service. No one else came in on a rainy Wednesday night, but we don’t really care about that. If you’re in the area and want some delicious Indian, come here.

So, I gave this place another go(3 years later!) and this time the dishes were way more flavorful. And the salad wasn’t served with Ranch :)

Vegetable Sheek Kabab appetizer was the dinner’s highlight. The rest — Aloo Gobi, Vegetable Biryani and Peshawari Naan were Ok. Biryani at Karma Café in Hoboken is much better, has more ingredients and spices. The place itself appears a little run down, with dim lighting used to cover dusty floor and walls needing fresh paint. In the middle of the restaurant they have the service desk, manager standing tall, constantly calculating something and taking phone orders. It’s as if he is there — in the center — supervising the staff and us, customers. I found this uncomfortable. Service was slow and not welcoming. It seemed as if no one was happy working at this place. Our waiter wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu.

We were there a lot even recommended it to friends, food is good… But recently we were there the first time with our 4-year old one, the restaurant was basically empty, maybe 2 – 3 tables. Since it’s quiet we requested a table in a bit of a separate room. I want to note that my 4-year old one was pretty quiet at the beginning and then completely quiet, and I am sure nobody was able to hear us from where we were sitting. Well, they clearly let us feel that we were not welcome! They asked us what we wanted right after we sat down and the food came very quick(there is good quick and there is «here you go, get going quick»). While I was in the middle of eating I was asked if I am done. Finally right after we finished they brought the check, no question about desert or anything. Very disappointed!

This is my favorite Indian restaurant. The food is always so good! More people should come here and check it out.

My boyfriend and I were so happy to find a second location of the Hackensack branch that we used to go to when we lived in Bergen County! We always order the Chicken Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken and Chicken Korma with 2 orders of naan. The naan was extremely nice and fluffy. Rice is included with the curries. Quality is good and the prices are pretty much the same as other Indian places in the area. For us both we spent around $ 50 with tip. * FREE mango lassi with Unilocal check in!

Delicious chicken tikka and tandoori chicken. The naan was also very good. I ordered delivery, which as they advised me(on Unilocal) took precisely 55 minutes… still no regrets, only I wished I had ordered the lassi!

We went there at Saturday night. Nice vibe and high quality food. Server was nice and cool. We asked for free naans and he brought us a lot.

Ordered chicken tikka masala, samosas & naan. They forgot the naan. The samosas were super salty. The masala had little flavor and had 5 pieces of chicken breast(at $ 16!). Over priced and underwhelming food = never returning here again.

We’ve ordered several times from this place, typically from GrubHub. The food is good but it’s pricey compared to what you can get at other places. There’s not really much competition nearby so I guess that’s one of the reasons. The butter chicken is good, we typically order it medium-spicy. It comes with basmati rice. The chicken biryani is pretty good. It comes with boneless chicken. I’m actually a fan of biryani with bone but their boneless chicken biryani is tasty even without the bones. I’ve also tried the goat biryani. It’s alright, nothing special and I probably won’t order it again. But it was nice to try. The tandoori chicken is also good, definitely worth a try. It’s not the best tandoori chicken I’ve had but if it’s fresh it tastes great. The naan are overly priced. I really wish they wouldn’t charge 3+ dollars for one piece of bread. The garlic naan is okay, the regular naan is good but not great. But, keep in mind I have this delivered. If you eat it fresh at the restaurant, it will be a huge difference. Nothing beats naan fresh off the tandoor! I always order the raita because I love the coolness of the yogurt against spicy food. Give it a try if you like yogurt to compliment your food. It has shredded cucumber in it as well. Overall, this place is good. Although it does take at least a solid hour for delivery, it’s worth the wait and they always deliver with a smile.

Came on Thurs afternoon looking forward to the buffet but they aren’t doing that this year. Instead we enjoyed our favorites of samosa, roti, chicken tikka masala spicy, and tandoori chicken at 25% off. Also had the gulab jamun with ice cream for the first time. I find it best to use the ice cream as a garnish for the gulab jamun. Delicious and tastes even better than when we get our meal delivered. Not to mention we ordered another naan to take home with our leftovers and the whole tab was less than $ 40 before gratuity.

First timer to this restaurant and since I’ve moved from near the Edison, NJ area recently(Indian food central) this place has pretty good food, higher prices, smaller portions, very nice service, palak paneer is good, lamb samosas and pakora could’ve been warmer. I’m spoiled from living in such an amazing area for that culture filled with options. I’m coming back to try more. Only place I’ve found in the area and I have so much more to try!

Had the dinner buffet here. Everything was delicious and well presented. The naan was so good! They bring it to your table fresh and right out of the oven. Place was relatively empty when we went so we basically had the whole buffet to ourselves! Will be back!

The food is good here. There are a ton of vegan options as you would expect of an Indian restaurant. The few times I’ve been to this restaurant there wasn’t many people. It’s sort of tucked away behind the main drag of maplewood avenue. The staff is attentive and friendly. One time they did forget my soup though. This is why we write things down. I was plenty full on my entrée and appetizers anyway. Try it out. You probably won’t regret it.
