Beautiful and sophisticated restaurant. We had an excellent New Years Eve dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion! Amazing food with great service!

This was our first Resturant when we arrived. The table for six was located by the fireplace and was awesome. Unfortunately the size of the table was hard to carry on a conversation because of the noise and the age of our guest. The menu was limited so do not expect too much. The food was amazing. The chef sent out a number of different complementary appetizers was was a nice surprise. I had the ribeye steak which was done just right. The truffle mashed potatoes were one of my favorites. The service was the typical amazing Ritz Carlton standard. Will definitely be going back on our next trip just remember to ask for a small intimate table to complete the experienced

We looove this place and go often for special occasions due to the price. I am so excited to do the wine tasting/pairing with tastes as well($ 20). We are going there tomorrow to try for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. Service is the best and views are amazing even from inside, but patio is best. They do have a happy hour as well which is good and mock-tails are very good. I had one with sage and grapes in it like a mojito and I have not forgotten it. Wine is a focus here as the name indicates so definitely ask the sommelier for a recommendation. We also love to stay here whenever we can afford it! And the food! Nothing is bad. And if it is, it must have been a fluke!

We came here for lunch during a conference, so it was reserved for our entire group which was nice. The atmospheres lovely it gives you a sense of being outside with all of the beautiful windows and beautiful views. This would be a great date night restaurant. The food was good and priced well and the service was excellent. I had a tofu dish and soup.

Had a family wedding dinner here and was very disappointed by the food. The service was up to par but they forgot what sides the bride had chosen to come out with with filet option. We were served an odd spinach salad instead of heirloom carrots and potatoes gratin and the sea bass was over cooked. Best part of the meal was the ahi tuna starter

Stayed at the hotel over the past weekend and had breakfast in Core. What a great experience in so many ways; a wonderful buffet for breakfast; great ambiance and views. I would give it five stars if it werent’ for the server. She was cold from the start and just seemed out of sorts in greeting us. My wife asked for coffee and juice. She never brought the coffee and then after the initial meeting and bringing the juice we never saw her again. Kind of surprising… but still enjoyed the restaurant.

Absolutely Devine! My husband and I went to Core for date night. We were seated at a table looking out at the mountains. The waiter was very good– knowledgable and friendly. He made me a mocktail with fresh fruit and mint, and I loved it, ałthough finding out the charge was $ 9 was a little hard to get over. My husband had Pinot noir, which he said was very good, and $ 20 a glass. We shared the colossal shrimp appetizer, which was absolutely colossal. Think shrimp the size of a steak. The grilled romaine with real caesar dressing was delicious, and complimented the shrimp perfectly. We both had the filet for entrees, cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Much better than I’ve ever gotten at Sullivan’s or Flemings. It came with sautéed spinach with fancy mushrooms, onions, pine nuts and cherries. Also very delicious. We ordered the truffle mashed potatoes as well, and believe you me, you do not want to miss those. The service was great, our water glasses were never empty, the empty plates weren’t on the table for longer than a minute, and we were still able to have great conversation without too many interruptions. My husband also got dessert– something with little donuts and coffee flavored creamy something, but I was too happy and full to pay much attention to it besides that he definitely ate it all. The final bill was right around $ 200. I think next time we will go for just entrees or just appetizer and dessert, not so much to reduce the cost as to thoroughly enjoy each bite with getting overstuffed. Go. Eat. Let food make your heart flutter again.

Absolutely outstanding in every way… ambiance, service quality, food, pace. We had a delightful evening. A shout out to Austin, our lead server!

I regret that we didn’t have dinner here at any point because dessert and breakfast were so good. We stopped in for dessert one evening and I had possibly the best butter pecan ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. Breakfast didn’t disappoint either. Although I generally dislike buffets, things looked so good that I went for it. Buffets tend to be about quantity over quality but that is not the case here. The chilaquiles, potatoes, french toast and muffins were all stellar.

Overall, great place. Great wine, food and service. I typically never drink white wine but it was a hot summer day. Got recommendations from our waiter and he let me taste it first. It was a nice touch since you typically don’t get to taste wine if you are buying it from the glass. We had the avocado tartare, scallops, and butterfish. All were very tasty, light and delicate. Don’t leave without ordering dessert. Husband got the ultimate chocolate brownie and he loved it. Said it was one of the best brownies he’s had, very rich. I got the salted caramel panna cotta with warm beignets. It was a large dessert but delicious. I can’t wait to go back.

This is not your typical resort dining establishment with sky high prices, snooty service, and uninspired cuisine. I was expecting the standard resort shtick, but I experienced something else entirely. The atmosphere was gorgeous, we weren’t seated right on top of other diners, the staff was friendly/prompt/knowledgeable, and the food was excellent. Sure, it isn’t inexpensive but that is to be expected. We paid a ton but with service and food that good it didn’t matter.

I came here for a special occasion dinner, and the restaurant fit the bill. We shared the avocado tartare, which was good– but didn’t feel special. I had the gnocchi for dinner, which was rich and cheesy. My boyfriend really enjoyed his meal, and we both enjoyed his birthday dessert. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, so I would only recommend if you’re willing to splurge.

We spent $ 300 on pretty much the worst meal ever. Fatty, griselly rib eye that I literally spit out in my napkin. Flavorless blackened cod. The kids cheese pizza was good which is the best thing I can say about this place. I’m so disappointed and embarrassed. Took my husband on a trip here from San Diego for Father’s Day. We were expecting ritz carlton quality and pretty sure that we would rather have eaten at Taco Bell. Servers were nice but no personality and stopped checking on us so we didn’t even get to speak our minds about awful food. The resort is beautiful but beware of the«fine» dining.

During a recent 24 hour get-away to Dove Mountain, my husband and I dined not once, but twice at CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar.(There aren’t a ton of options if you want to stay on property, and a couple of the dinner options were closed the night we were there for private group functions). We had dinner there the night we arrived and breakfast there the next morning… Lucky for us, both meals were wonderful. Brianna and Ashley took care of us at dinner on Saturday night and Jordan was our server at breakfast this morning(Sunday). Despite the restaurant being packed during both of our visits, we felt well taken care of. Brianna went out of her way to make conversation with us, answer my husband’s random questions about table #s, favorite local restaurants, etc… and of course, we enjoyed the food and drinks during our meals as well. Dinner at CORE starts out with a bread basket filled with incredibly fresh slices of homemade multi-grain bread and cheddar jalapeño corn mini-muffins. I scarfed down one of each and stopped myself from more only because I wanted to save room for what was to come. We shared a house salad, a trout tartar, the bone-in ribeye, and sides of fingerling potatoes and fried cauliflower. I recommend everything unless you’re not a fan of Béarnaise sauce — we now know that we are not. Both the steak and the fingerling potatoes come with said Béarnaise sauce. We ended up scraping off and eating around it, but I’d definitely order it on the side in the future if you’re not sure about it. We skipped dessert because we opted to go make our own s’mores onsite at another area of the resort instead. Breakfast offers a large buffet… my husband took advantage of that and enjoyed it. I opted for the egg white veggie frittata and loved it! We also had orange juice and coffee. The mountain views from CORE are fabulous and I recommend sitting outside so you can breathe in the fresh mountain air while you dine. Doesn’t fresh mountain air make everything taste better anyways? I think so. I can’t wait to return!

Been here a few times and keep going back. As good as it gets for me. The property is the sonoran desert at its finest. Leave some time after dinner to wander a little outside with an after dinner drink. Service is top notch what you expect, you can just make it or ask for whatever you want and they make it happen. Attentive but never overbearing and never try to steal the show. Pace is whatever you want and taking your time is not discouraged. Ambience is special, makes you want to slow down and enjoy, and I like the open air kitchen, focal point upon arrival. The curb appeal upon descending down to the restaurant I find cool and a nice teaser to kick off the evening. Tonight we had avocado tartare and quail as starters. Quail was just fantastic, perfectly cooked and a nice delicate light sauce, but not too sweet as with many game sauces and complimented the game perfectly. Wish I could have stole more avocado from the wife but I only got a bite and was in the zone with the quail. Bite I did get was very flavorful, we added salt but with avocados always a must. For entrees the gnocchi was just spectacular. It’s made from a pastry type material instead of potato and were fluffy pillows of tastiness with a nice pan fried crisp on the outside. Goat cheese, Brussel Sprouts, truffle oil and mushrooms were an amazing compliment to the sweet pastry type gnocchi. Wanted desert but the birthday freebie was plenty for me and our server parted ways with a delectable port to end a perfect evening.

There is a new chef in town and his name is Michael Press! He did a masterful job and running the kitchen on Saturday night. We really enjoyed eating by the kitchen so we can watch the action and every cook there did a great job! I had the short ribs and they were fantastic! CJ our waiter/bartender took really good care of us. He gave us an awesome tour of their wine collection. Thank you Michael and CJ! We’ll be back very soon!

My boyfriend and I ate at CORE for dinner while on a staycation at the Ritz. I was not expecting the food to be as delicous as it was! The mini jalapeño cornbread muffins they give you are sooo good, we had seconds! For dinner we shared the avocado tartare to start, which was fantastic. Then we split the filet and shrimp and ordered sides of the mac n’ cheese and potato purée. I would recommend ALL of these things! The filet was so flavorful, and our entire dinner was just so good, i can’t wait to go back and order these things again! For dessert we had the brownie sundae, which again was a home run! We sat outside on the patio since it was a beautiful night and the ambience is quiet and scenic. The service was wonderful. I seriously can’t wait to go back!

My husband took me up here for my birthday and boy did I feel rather spoiled! The restaurant itself is beautiful, not to mention the beautiful scenery that the Ritz is nestled in. We even saw a Bobcat after dinner which was awesome! Service was of course perfect. It was super fancy without the pretentious feeling which made dining very comfortable. I had the Colorado Lamb Loin that was cooked to perfection! My husband had the Roasted Salmon which he very much enjoyed. Of course all in the name of Unilocal I had to sample some of his dinner and was in love with his corn purée and fired okra! Topped off with a glass of wine each, a special dessert just because it was my birthday from the restaurant, and a dessert of our own that we picked off the menu(Chocolate Core-tet), we left full and very, very satisfied! I would love to afford to go here all the time and try everything! Beautiful, great service, and great food… what more can you ask for?!?

Obviously, being in The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain, the restaurant is beautiful, the service is superb and the food is great. Thoughtfully prepared dishes with interesting twists. There are not many vegetarian options, but I was able to find a few things. We had: Local baby greens — Standard. Avocado Tartare — Very good! Roasted Vegetable Roulade — Great(and with beautiful presentation)! Herbed Gnocchi — Excellent! The gnocchi was fantastic(and I don’t usually like gnocchi). I loved that they served it with fresh arugla(a surprising choice for a dish in which everything else is fully cooked). My only complaint about this entrée is that there was a little too much oil.

I had heard positive things about this restaurant, so we decided to dine at the Ritz Carlton resort and not go into the city. I made reservations for 8:30 pm. We were seated immediately at a booth and were served a basket with a variety of breads(my favorite was the jalapeño). We ordered some wine and started out with Crispy Duxbury Oysters, sautéed salsify, braised pancetta and horseradish cream. Perfectly crisp with a unique but tasty flavor. For my main entrée I went with the Buffalo Tenderloin, liquid polenta, chorizo & rocket sauté, mesquite noodles and three-Chili Aioli — the buffalo is marinated 3 days in maple syrup and is so tender you can cut it with a butter knife. OMG what a meal! Everything was unique but delicious and so flavorful! We were given a pre dessert of chocolate cheesecake which was not overly sweet and the crust was crisp and such a hit. For our main dessert we tried the Pear & Caramel — caramel cream, pear cake, pear chips, pear Bay leaf foam and pear gel. This was probably my least favorite item of the evening although is was light and was presented beautifully. Our waiter and his assistant were superb — constantly checking in, knowledgeable of the menu, friendly and professional. Overall, one meal I’ll never forget. I topped off the evening with a Romeo and Juliet Cuban cigar out on the patio! Ah life is good!
