We stopped here for lunch at random enroute to Key West and were rewarded for our boldness. Manatee Bay is a bright cheerful restaurant with a simple menu and good food. The New England clam chowder was excellent, with tender clams and a hint of garlic. The Fish Reuben worked better than anticipated; the saurkraut complemented the fresh fish nicely. Onion rings and shoestring fries were crisp and not greasy. Service was pleasant and chatty.
