This place kills me!!! They straddle the fence of civilization & back woods. They briefly attempt a run at Gluten free and truly go at it half ass. The worst part is that they are receding and failing now. I will continue to give my business to Whole Foods Bee Caves… hope to see you there!

There is something seriously going wrong at this store. The produce is the worst I have ever seen and I’m shocked this has never been addressed by corporate, surely there have been complaints. I have tried going different days of the week. Either there is hardly anything to pick from, or everything there is bad. The packaged spring mix I have bought at this store seems to go bad really fast. Maybe they have refrigeration issues that need to be addressed? The seafood is questionable as well. I don’t recall ever being in a store where the seafood area smells so bad. I do not buy seafood here… I will pay a ridiculous price at Bayside Market for fresh seafood. Prior to moving to the area, I was spoiled by the Austin HEB’s. This HEB has a good selection of things but I buy a lot of produce. I NEVER thought I would say this in my life… I choose Wal-Mart over HEB for my grocery shopping now.

I like this HEB. It’s a little weird and doesn’t have all the bling that the newer stores have, but it gets the job done. They’ll have to remodel at some point in the next few years. I wish they had a bigger sushi selection and the bakery is not particularly«good.» Be prepared for that parking lot! It is the most stressful place in Burnet county…

They have a large selection of everything pretty much. The staff are very friendly and and service is great. The only thing I wish they would bring back is the boulders canyon chips back. They started carrying a few of the products I have to drive to austin to get. I wish they would stop trying new stuff then stop carrying it a month or two later. They also have a small but big selection of gluten free stuff, wish it was a little bit larger of a selection for the people that have a allergic reaction to gluten.

well, it was different here — but i’m used to trader joes, wholefoods and safeway/raley’s supermarkets in my part of california. where we were staying for a few days, we had no choice but to come here for convenience. alot of stuff i couldn’t help but wonder, «hrmm, is it still OK to eat? has it expired? umm, where’s the expiration date???» but yeah… i guess given our choices, this was the place to go — but for next time i will have to search harder(and thank goodness for Unilocal now) — i’ll be able to find something better suited to my supermarket needs. i REALLY missed safeway at this point.
