My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Marblehead on Harbor during a weekend getaway, and are already planning our next trip back. The inn is gorgeous and serene, boasting fabulous views of the many boats dotting Marblehead Harbor. Our room was cozy and well-appointed, and we felt removed enough to be comfortable, but also close enough to the ‘action’ of the house to know what was going on. Best of all, better than anything about our entire trip, in fact, was our lovely host, Becky. From the moment I booked the room, I knew we would be in for a treat, but nothing could have prepared me for her great hospitality. We were treated like family, and fell into the most comfortable rhythm with everyone else in the house. It’s was wonderful to know that we had the option of going up to our room and relaxing after a long day of sight-seeing, but also could just as easily find our way into a lively conversation in the parlor. Becky took every care to make sure that we had all of the information we needed to make the most of our stay, and was also genuinely interested in swapping stories and sharing laughs. She’s an angel. I loved Marblehead; it’s a picturesque town with a rich and distinct history. However, I believe that had we not stayed at Marblehead on Harbor, the trip would have lacked much of its lustre.
