I wouldn’t go out of my way to do this hike, but it was a nice, short option while we were staying in the nearby Colonial Creek Campground. In my opinion, the view of Diablo Lake is nicer from the roadside viewing area, but it’s nice to have a different perspective with more solitude.

A great trail. Maybe not the best one available in the Cascades national park, but certainly a very doable trail that leads to a vista point over the lake, with the mountains in the background. two benches are included, for taking those photos of people leaping in the air.
