Great pizza on the patio. Terrible service– we had to go in to get our bill to pay. People were waiting for a table but we couldn’t get up til we paid. One of our party handled all the bills. Never saw the server again. Also returned 2 different brands of flat beers. They replaced them no problem.

We had a woodfired pizza out on the patio. Delicious! We had good view of the lake, service was excellent, very friendly staff. We could smell the wood from the oven. We were not very far from home but we felt like we were on vacation. Next time I will bring my friends, they will love it!

Great place. The food is amazing and the owner is directly involved. He usually stops by the table to chat and make sure everyone is having a good time. The continually updated specials are delicious and they have amazing desserts. This is become our «special» place to eat.

We had a company gathering here recently and I can’t say enough great things about the experience. We were able to get the lower area to ourselves an allowed us to all mingle and have our own bar. The food was perfect. All of it and tons of it! I’m not a big fan of coconut shrimp, but somehow the chef prepared it in such a way that even I enjoyed it. Will definitely plan on visiting just for dinner in the future.

I’ve been to the rock several times and always have great food and a great experience. The only disappointing thing is that they have gotten so popular there is often a long wait but well worth it. Give it a try you will not be disappointed

This restaurant is a bit off of the beaten path, but it is a hidden gem! The food is exceptional, as is the wait staff. They are well known for their fried chicken. Yum! But if you want it you’d better get there early. Another favorite is the Whitefish cakes, one of their appetizers. All of their dishes are freshly prepared. On our last visit I had the cedar planked whitefish as my entrée, and my husband got the fried chicken. Delicious! And their mini bread loaves are so good! We can’t wait to go back again!

Went with my sister for dinner. I ordered the crispy bluegill fish. There was nothing crispy about it more like rubber. The side salad was the best part of the meal. Fish came with Brussels sprouts they were crispier then fish.

This was our first trip to The Rock but it will not be our last!!! The shrimp app was excellent! I had Salmon while my wife had walleye. Excellent presentation with great flavor. Service was also very good. Busy for a Monday nite when everyone else is closed. Worth the ride.

This is my first time here and it was worth the trip. The restaurant is loud, fun and friendly. We started with the rock IPA, delish and an Oberon. We had a full order of calamari, it was huge. Should of had the half order, which is nice they offer it. I had the sautéed blue Gil, it did have breaking which I didn’t expect it need. It needed more seasoning. Lived the capers, but I took most of it home to peel breaking off, salt and eat later. My hubby had the fried half chicken, it was prepared perfectly but also needed seasoning. The sweet potato fries are very good.
They have a deck near the lake where they serve pizza only. We’ll probably try that next time. The staff couldn’t be friendlier or more attentive. Give it try.

The food was great! Service was little slow but they were super busy. We brought our 8 and 11 year old kids and we will definitely me back! They have a cool area for live music we would like to check out later with a group of friends.

Omg that fried chicken! It was totally worth the drive from Vicksburg to check out this ski-​lodge touched bar and lounge for the first time. The service was fine. Could have a little more improvement. My husband got the blue fill and it was good. My husband suggested more seasoning like red pepper. The desserts all sounded amazing. They were out of the cookie dough cheesecake so gratefully my next choice was key lime cheesecake. Yum yum. Can’t wait to go back.

I love the Rock. We live almost next door. Tremendous food and creative delicious specials. The most friendly staff especially Beau the bartender. Nice entertainment on many weekends. The steaks, chicken and fish are very tasty. Get the onion rings as they are huge. I love blue cheese dressing and theirs is homemade!

This is a great recent addition to an area that needs more good restaurants. Nice atmosphere though I don’t know why they have not taken more advantage of the lake view. We have visited 3 or 4 times and have had very good food and service each time. I have tried steaks, Bluegill and a few fish specials (I think one was Wahoo) and they have all been good — though the Bluegill was cooked not quite as golden brown as I would have liked the last time. During the summer this place is very busy on weekends. No reservations taken but you may be able to call ahead. Overall, I recommend it as one the best places to eat in a 20 mile radius.

We have a home on Big Fish Lake so we’ve been super excited to watch as the old Melville’s was transformed into the beautiful place is now — The Rock!
The first few weeks were a bit rocky with the service, as to be expected, as everyone was finding their groove. We’ve not been disappointed with the food and the wait staff is very friendly. We’ve ordered food a few times to go and they’ve given us a hard time about the kitchen being too busy so they couldn’t accommodate us. Sort of annoying.
The steaks are great but seem to be a bit overpriced, but all in all, it’s good food in a city that is desperate for good restaurants. The fact that we can walk there is a huge bonus. Would love it even more if they could figure out a way to have an outdoor space.
