Food is amazing. Great place for breakfast/brunch. There are cheaper places in the area but it’s well worth the extra money. Most items on the menu are around or just under $ 10.

Was not impressed. There were upside mugs on the table, there was lipstick on the mug when the waitress turned one over to pour coffee. Then she said this was the second time today. It was not off to a good start. I had created my own skillet. I asked for specific vegetables, and how did I end up with sausage in my skillet? The only thing I loved was the fresh squeezed orange juice.

The food is good and the restaurant is nice and homie. BUT the service is absolutely terrible. They take a long time to even greet you once you are seated. No one is helpful and when you walk in no one greets you. You get the feeling you are bothering them when you order. I have come here the last 2 days thinking the first time was just a fluke. The second time we came service was just as bad. Will not return

We enjoyed lunch outside on the patio during our recent vacation. One of the better lunches we had on the island. We felt the Food was prepared with fresh ingredients and it showed based on the flavor. Pricing was also reasonable(for Marco island. Wanted to go back to try breakfast, but never had the time before we went home. Would definitely recommend it for lunch or breakfast.

Wow! Great breakfast! Coffee not bitter, a great cup of joe!, fresh squeezed orange juice was fabulous. Veggies fresh and cooked perfectly in skillet. We tried a few of the pancakes and they were all great — strawberry, key lime, banana chocolate chip, pumpkin and the cannoli French toast. Would definitely return!

Drove over from east coast. Checked Unilocal for breakfast. Found Doreen’s Cup of Joe. Put our name in. Waited only 15 minutes. Staff called our named then blamed us for sit out of order. Then lost our order. Food good not great.

Perfectly decorated location, great customer service, strong-brewed coffee, and delicious food… it just doesn’t get any better than Doreen’s Cup of Joe. Having read the reviews, and being early risers, we got to Doreen’s before 9 am on a Sunday. We immediately sat down, though by the end of our breakfast every table was full. Our waitress came quickly and took our drink orders straight away. I am a coffee addict and was very impressed with the quality of their brewed coffee. My cup was always refreshed and I was even given a go-cup at the end of the meal(did I mention that addiction?). My hubby ordered the OJ… omg I have never had such great juice! Highly recommend it. It has zero pulp, so is very kid friendly. My baby boy was given a plastic cup of chocolate milk, but i did see that the set that is less prone to breaking things would receive their Choco Milk in cute little milk bottles topped with whipped cream… adorable. The milk was rich, chocolatey and creamy. Baby Boy stated he had never had better milk and he did suck down a 16oz glass in less than 10 minutes. My husband and I split the Mexican skillet topped with eggs over easy. Phenomenal! The skillet base was spicy and full of flavor. The potatoes were slightly crisp and held up very well to the black beans and chorizo. The eggs were perfectly fried. We also ordered raisin and wheat toast and both were delicious. If it wasn’t homemade, it sure tastes like it! The following anecdote will highlight the amazing customer service. We made the mistake of ordering the crunchy French toast for baby boy. Though the adults found it to be delicious, the crunchy texture was rejected by the kindergarten set. BB was in tears, DH was angry and I was frazzled. Our server took immediate pity on us and rushed through an order of plain french toast for my son. He gobbled it up and breakfast was saved! Thank you to the staff for their attentiveness and kindness. You have guaranteed our return to Doreen’s on our next trip to Marco!

Wow… listen to the reviews and go here if you are anywhere near Marco Island. Food: The food is to die for… it would get 10 stars if possible. The food is fresh and tastes amazing. Everything from the omletes to the key lime pancakes, The food is fresh and tastes amazing. We liked it so much we went back the second day we were there. Service: This is were they loose one star. The first time we were there it was crowded and we were seated w/in about 5 min. The waitress was friendly but did not really engage us. The second day we went was even worse. We sat for at least 15 minutes before a server approached us. After taking our order and getting food, he just dropped off the check for the meal. He was so disinterested in us, it took away from the meal experience. Overall, the is a must eat for breakfast/brunch if you are in the March Island area. The food is so good that it makes up for the ok service.

During a one week vacation, we ate breakfast at Doreen’s 3 times. The staff is friendly, prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are large enough to share! This breakfast spot offers a welcoming atmosphere and a variety of breakfast options.

Went there with family and friends. Fast service and very accommodating even with two babies. Started with donut holes: crispy and sugary on the outside, soft and warm in the inside, powered sugar sprinkled on top and fresh berry accompaniment. I had the southern Bentley, wifey had the croissant breakfast sandwich(egg, cheese, bacon), and the little one the French toast. The latter two were standard breakfast fare; the former a nice twist on the classic eggs benedict: Fried green tomato for a little tartness, and with a combination hollandaise cheese and grits sauce on top. Wash it all down with a cup of Joe and your good to go. Worth the wait.

Is it possible for an out-of-towner to miss this little restaurant like home? Is it possible to feel like a local in a new little restaurant, 1,000 miles from home? Yes. I spent 3 days in Marco Island, visiting family. And I ate breakfast at Doreen’s every morning. All 3 mornings. I’m not even ashamed to admit it. First off, the folks here are so wonderful. They’re warm and inviting. I enjoyed my chats with them. And they really keep that little place running like a fine tuned clock. It’s impressive to watch. The décor is just this side of kitschy, in a totally charming way. Might this be a Floridian take on farmhouse? I don’t know, but I love it. Day 1: Just me and my husband. I came for the Key Lime pancakes, and was not disappointed. What a thrill! The pancakes alone were perfectly melt-in-your-mouth fluffy. But oh, that key lime sauce! And the crumble of graham on top is a little something extra. The coffee is a locally roasted bean from Kana. So smooth and rich. And my cup never ran empty. Day 2: My siblings all heard our raves about Doreen’s the night before, and now they wanted a taste. Fine by me! So my husband and I were excited to share in the joy of Doreen’s with them. We were greeted by the smiling faces once again, «Oh hey, you’re back!»… «Of course we are!»… I ordered Key Lime pancakes again. It was my birthday, I’m allowed. I devoured them again, and also nibbled on my husband’s order of breakfast nachos. Hey, it’s my birthday. The nachos were amazing, piled high with a variety of fresh toppings, sauces, and scrambled eggs. My fellow coffee-loving siblings also approved of the endless Kana. Day 3: Last day in town. Where to eat? Doreen’s of course! By this time, my parents had heard all the raves from us «kids». They wanted in on it. What did I order? You guessed it! Key Lime pancakes! They were as delicious as the last two times, and I wasn’t even tired of them yet. I felt a little tinge of longing when we left that final day. The same kind of feeling you get when you’re a kid leaving grandma’s house. You just want to stay, but you know it’s time to go. I found myself craving Key Lime pancakes while waiting to board my plane home. One day, Doreen’s. One day, I’ll be back. Until then, keep being the amazing, homey little breakfast joint that I know and love.

Visiting a friend on Marco and he suggested we stop at Doreen’s Cup of Joe before heading back home. OMG I am forever grateful to him for introducing us to this place. First off, it’s absolutely adorable. Eclectic and colorful and full of character. The white roosters inside the brightly painted frames all over the walls were my favorite part. It’s not a huge place but they have outside seating too and a few big tables for groups. It was packed on a Monday morning but we got seated right away. Now to the food. We started with the breakfast nachos. The most yummy tortilla chips covered in black beans, cheddar cheese, avocado, scrambled eggs, sour cream, pico de gallo, tomatillo and ranchero sauce. We added chorizo too and they were AMAZING. I would recommend them to everyone who comes here. My friend had the Italian Skillet with Italian sausage, green peppers, onions, mozzarella cheese and cooked to order egg on top. It was also very tasty. The Italian sausage was especially good. I had the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. They were so moist with just enough of a hint of lemon covered in powdered sugar and strawberries. The orange juice and sweet tea were served in a mason jar adding a very cute touch. Doreen’s will definitely be on my go-to list for every visit to the island. Can’t wait to go back.

This place is great. We did come in the off season so it wasn’t terribly busy. I would imagine the place gets really crowded in the busy season. I ordered the Strawberry & Marscapone stuffed French toast and was pretty disappointed to see it wasn’t stuffed at all. The filling was simply on top. And I would have preferred the bread be thicker than the thin bread they used. The other issue I had with the French toast was the orange flavor in the filling. There was no mention of it on the menu & I probably would have skipped ordering this item if I had known there was orange zest in it. We went a 2nd time & I liked the Veggie Skillet I ordered much better. The Doreen’s Breakfast Potatoes were delicious & well worth the $ 1 up charge. Service was attentive and friendly. This place is definitely worth checking out.

Seriously, I don’t know how I haven’t written a review for this place already but I’m sure there isn’t much I can add on that others haven’t done already! This place is THAT good. If you’re in Marco Island and you DON’T stop by here… you’re missing out on an essential piece of the puzzle. Their food is the freshest. It’s cooked perfectly EVERYTIME(I’ve been here about 6 — 7x’s now). Service is impeccable. Atmosphere is wonderful, everyone is always happy. Ambiance and décor is so cute and unique. There is nothing bad about this place that I can honestly think of. This is a go-to brunch spot always for my family and also when I visit with my significant other. In fact, he doesn’t even want to bother trying any other place anymore for brunch. My go-to entrée is the avocado breakfast croissant sandwich(minus the bacon). It is so good, I’m craving it now. Also have had their french toast(just as good), breakfast skillet(also very good), and more. All in all, if you’re reading this because you’re contemplating on going. put down the phone, stop reading and just head over there!

This place is way better than Né Né’s right down the road(sorry Né Né’s! you are good too). Great wide variety on their menu, super cute ambiance, nice outdoor seating, good attentive service but not smothering, super tasty food, and a good deal(filling, big portions). And they are«on it» with the water refills when it is a hot day and you are hanging out outside, much appreciated y’all! Our top favorites on the menu: Chicken and Waffles is «interesting» with the chicken pounded and breaded with cereal, on a super tasty waffle — put Cholula on it, and Syrup, get crazy, come on, do it! Huevos Rancheros was delicous, I just wish the tortillas were fresh or home made or even crispy but the rest of the dish is amazing. And you get hashbrowns with it, which is rare and welcome. Cannoli French Toast — need I say more? Get it, super tasty, not too sweet as you would think. Even the Normal French Toast was really good, but you could also get a side of Nutella — just sayin’. The Yogurt Parfait is huge, fresh, good, with a touch of honey, super filling, if you feel like going fresh to fit into your itsy bitsy teeny weeny polka-dot bikini that is. So yea, we are fans. They have real fresh squeezed OJ, but it is super expensive, and their coffee is not«Kona» coffee from HI, but it sounds like that(but it is from Florida/local) and also tasty, but don’t be fooled people.

Three words describe our trip to Doreen’s…HOLYSHITGOOD. I read reviews about this place and it being the #1 rated restaurant on the island, so I made sure that my family and I were able to make an appearance. Fun fact is that Doreen’s is owned by Joey’s Pizza which is next door. We showed up on Tuesday morning and we were seated immediately when we walked in. It was about 10 am and the restaurant was filled but not crowded. The restaurant has a cute café/beach vibe and there are plenty of people working to bus and take orders. I was offered their coffee which was a Kana Coffee that is from a coffee shop in Miami, it was probably the best cup of Joe I had in recent memory. They also give fresh squeezed OJ(expensive, almost 4 bucks) but it honestly felt like you were drinking a real orange, it was quite the treat(it could have been colder though). Our server was very friendly and gave us recommendations for the menu. My order of Cannoli Stuffed French Toast was literally out of this world. The French toast was cooked perfect and had the perfect amount of sweet. My girlfriend ordered raspberry and chococlate chip pancakes and they were delicious. We both split the hash browns which were tasty and also each got an order or bacon, which come in little frying pans(good touch, our 3 year old loved it). I’ll say the reviews are correct, Doreen’s was everything we could have hoped for in a breakfast meal on the island. It was a bit pricey but overall the food warranted the price. This was the best meal we had all week and I will be back multiple times on my next trip to Marco.
