Just moved to the area and was looking for a decent Chinese joint. This is the only one I could find. Orange chicken looked unimpressive but doesn’t taste like it looks — very delicious. The chicken fried rice was less than desirable. Lots of chicken so that’s good but it was very dry and not much flavor. I also love having some veggies in my fried rice and this only had onions. Next time, I’ll order the orange chicken but skip the rice. The woman on the phone was very pleasant as well.

I stopped in to see what the new owners have to offer. The dining area is a bit larger for those that want to dine in. I was greeted by a pleasant young lady behind the counter and as I asked what was new on the menu she told me that everything was the same as it was when the place was«Hongs Delight». I proceeded to order some food(General Chicken, Steamed Dumplings, and Crab Rangoon) and told it would be about 15 min which is typical of Chinese cuisine. I was handed my to-go order and off I went to enjoy it at home. As I was driving down the road I reached into the bag to sample the Crab Rangoon(kind of like the McDonald commercials with the french fries), let me tell you they could be HOT. I looked and noticed it was just about all crispy wrap with a small bump inside of it. Not what I was used too. Thought this may have been a fluke item. The second one was just the same. My taste buds were screaming for crab. What little bit of crab there was was good. Once I arrived at home I pulled the rest of them out of the bag and noticed they were all the same. Conclusion… New owners are cutting back from tablespoon to teaspoon servings of crab. Not good for the ratings and my urge to return. Next comes the Steamed Dumplings. These guys are packed full and almost bursting. After tasting the 1st one my taste buds were still looking for flavor. I think some baby food had more. BLANDBLANDBLAND is all I can say. Steamed Mush is what it was. Now onto the main item, Generals Chicken. I like to add onion to mine so I throw it onto the wok after I sauté the onion for a bit. What I noticed is that it lacked sauce. There was minimal sauce in this batch. The chicken bits were really small about the size of KFC Popcorn Chicken. So the chicken did not have much flavor to it. On the upside the sauce did taste good and the broccoli was crisp. At least something positive came out of it. Come on guys… If you want people to be repeat customers you need to step it up quite a bit. You can’t survive in a small town with customer experiences like this.
