I really liked this dentist. Actually, my older friend in his 90s was going there and I was driving him since he has trouble driving. Everyone seemed so nice to us there. The key word is SEEMED. After my older friend went into the hospital, I had to call Dr. Hirschberg’s office to cancel his appointment. It was a few days before the appointment. The woman who answered the phone I will call«M» here. M the receptionist at Dr. Hirschberg’s office was EXTREMELYRUDE to me! Beyond belief rude. After I told M about my friend being in the hospital with a life threatening condition, I started to briefly tell M about my friend’s status and his outlook. Even if M didn’t give a flip about anyone other than M, at least my info about my friend would help Dr. Hirschberg’s office plan for when and if my friend would ever be able to go back for his appointment. Before I could tell M anything more, M said to me, «OK. Gotta go.» and THENSHEFREAKINGHUNGUPONME!!! Click! What a horrible, horrible person M was. I cannot think of anyone behaving so badly, so cold and heartless as M did. M didn’t so much as spend FIVESECONDS saying something like«I hope your friend gets better». No! Just CLICK! and hang up on me. I called back to leave a message for Dr. Hirschberg about M’s inexcusable behavior. Unfortunately I had to leave my message with M to give to Dr. Hirschberg. Then I sent an email to Dr. Hirschberg’s email address on his business card. So far I have not heard back from anyone at Dr. Hirschberg’s office other than that M left a voicemail on my friend’s machine about rescheduling his appointment. My friend is in rehab now. I go to see him every day. He just isn’t the same and will need constant care if he ever is able to go back home. I will strongly urge him to avoid Dr. Hirschberg’s office at all costs. No one should have to put up with that kind of abuse.
