Great Wall

The food tasted pretty decent. The shrimp in the szechuan meal had the tails on the shrimp and part of the husk still on. Egg rolls are slightly bigger than those fat tootsie rolls. Both the spicy meals were mild at best, but tasted good and I have hot sauce so no biggy. Overall not bad. Will probably order again because options are limited but acceptable.

For what Maricopa has they have been great to me Delivery to my Work is always Nice.
Buffet Could use some work but Menu Items are very good.

Eating the buffet here is like asking for an All-​You-​Can-​Cry Buffet of Sadness. Just pathetic, there’s like 6 cold, mealy entrees and some hard ass rice and some suspect sides. It’s not worth the money, especially since they upped the price.
The delivery is better because often they have to make it (kind of) fresh, but even that is expensive and at best just under mediocre.
They have the market cornered unless you feel like waiting in line at Panda (seriously, what is with Maricopa and all the fast food places having lines around the block around dinner time… does no one cook?), but if a Pei Wei or something opened up here, Great Wall could kiss its greasy spoon goodbye.

Coming from Chicago, I’ve been spoiled with insanely good food. Still, the quality at Great Wall is low. But here’s where they get you: it’s the only Chinese place in the Copa and one of few non-​chains. With slim options, I still end up ordering Great Wall when I get a craving for chicken, veggies and rice. It’s just not good though.

Bad customer service had the guy who took the order on phone tell us we owed more money when we were told a certain amount when trying to pay ended up arguing with him and he said he was the manager smh we’ll never come here again

Wrote it up very good last review. The last 2 out of 3 times there were many empty trays at the buffet and certain items you need to wait 15 – 20 minutes for the food to come out. This seems to be the way it is now. In the past they kept the trays full. Now to many empties, too many times trays are not hot and sitting too long. You don’t get what you pay for anymore. Seems like there is no owner watching the store and buffet isn’t important anymore. They only care about take out which is good. Before the buffet was very good. Now it is half good half bad. Would rather take the 21 minute ride to the HONG KONG BUFFET AND PAY A FEW DOLLARS MORE FOR GIGANTIC SELECTION HOT FOOD CONSTANTLY FILLED TRAYS FISH CRAB PRIME RIB GREAT RIBS AND VERY GOOD AND HOT AND FRESH CHINESE FOOD. Live 6 minutes from the Great Wall but tired of going there and no one cares about the buffet food so you throw your money in the garbage. Hope the Great Wall fixes their act but won’t go back if the reviews don’t change. It’s an easy drive and 2 blocks off the 10 on the left side of Chandler Blvd. HONG KING BUFFET. Ask for the dinner and lunch card get it stamped after 10 meals and 1 free, great for our family of 3. Going there for 3 years now and every out of town guest really liked it. Everyone!!!

Unfortunately this place is terrible. It’s super hot in there also. There are a bunch of empty containers in their buffet. We walked around several times with a empty plate there were so many empty containers. I thought were going to leave here hungry. They had fried rice at the end of the buffet in a table size rice container. The fried rice was old looking and hard. The pot stickers were dry and rubbery with rock hard edges, like they were reheated. The food was really bad. They only brought out one barley filled buffet container of food to refill. Most of them remained empty. I can handle bad Chinese buffet, I am usually just thrilled to be there. This one is very unappetizing. I really feel like it’s reheated food from the night before.

Just moved to Maricopa, tried them for the first time tonite and loved it. Ordered to go, food was freshly made and hot! Egg drop soup was awesome, so we’re the bbq spare ribs, very meaty with no fat. Orange chicken was delicious as well as the pork fried rice. Would definitely go there again. Friendly staff as well!

This one of only a few good things about Maricopa. We love this place. Not only great food, but polite employees who take your call; always gets the order right; and the delivery service is amazingly fast! I think they were recently sold to new owners, but the transition didn’t bring any bad changes. We usually get Sesame chicken — always good; egg rolls — always good; house lo mein — always good; and we’ve also had Shrimp in Garlic sauce and Egg foo young. All really, really good. The onions in the Shrimp in Garlic sauce are a little ‘strong’ but other than that it’s fine. I have never stepped foot in the actual restaurant, but maybe one day so I can say hi to them and thank them for their awesome food and service.

I recommend ordering from the menu, that way you get a real sense of how good they can cook. The buffet is OK, but they really shine at cooking fresh Chinese food. I love to treat myself to delivery sometimes at work and my goodness, I get a few meals out of $ 15.00 worth of food and a tip!
You MUST try the Egg Drop Soup!

Really good food! Had delivery from them twice and wasn’t let down! Only thing is it’s a bit pricey when it comes to delivery. Other than that I love it!

Ordered delivery from these guys last week, left a note on the front door telling them to come through the side gate and they did… because we were out back swimming in the pool! I recommend the shrimp lomein!!! Although crab puffs are my favorite, I wish they did have just a little bit more filling. but the food was hot and it didn’t take as long as they said! and it was awesome I didn’t have to cook !, they brought it to us!! the general tsos was also good…

Gave Great Wall a 2^nd chance after about a year. My wife was really craving Chinese food and time was short so we decided to give it another go. Much better experience than the last time. The food was good; not great but good. The price is a higher than I think it should be but not too outrageous. I guess when your the only game in town you can charge a premium.
Glad I didn’t dine in though. The temperature of the dining room was warm (had to have been 80 degrees). Gotta bite the bullet and turn down the AC.

Save yourself the time and money the buffet food was horrible for example spare ribs, boneless chicken, and chicken on the stick were stone cold and tasteless. The desert table had dried out fruit, watery rice pudding, and even the Jello looked pitiful. I can only hope we don’t end up with food posioning and next time we will stick with Panda Express!

Average. I’ve had better but at least it’s another option to all the drive thru. Food is hot when carried out.

Don’t waste your money, it’s the worst Chinese food ever!!!
Just picked up an order of chicken lo mein for dinner. I ordered a pint and they made a quart, told lady I wanted a small, she smiled and said sorry we made a large and walked away. These people need to learn how to season and cook food. Absolutely freaking awful. Would have been better to have skipped dinner and just thrown the money in the trash. Stay far away or make your own Chinese home.

Definitely love their food. Everything we’ve ordered in the past six months is always consistently good and not greasy tasting like other Chinese restaurants we’ve tried. Love the Wor Won Ton soup, never get tired of it.
Best Chinese food and at very reasonable prices.

Mixed bag. The buffet is underwhelming and quality varies depending on what time you go, but for $ 8 it’s not a surprise.
I ordered off the menu and was extremely pleased with the mushu pork– huge serving!
Service was excellent the last 2 visits, but I’ve had mixed results in the past.

I’ve eaten here a few times, mostly take out. I don’t think the food or the service is bad here. The buffet is decent. It’s the only Chinese food place in town besides Panda Express, so there’s not much competition here. In any case, I’ve always had a good experience at this restaurant and if anything at all, it’s a decent place to eat at a reasonable price.
