Awesome library! I come here often to study with friends and do projects. I really love the addition of the phone charging station.

While visiting my dad, a Maricopa resident, I brought my 18 mo old son to the Movers and Shakers story time with Miss Lori. She was extremely friendly and did a great job of laying out what we could expect in the half hour timeframe. We did songs and a book and then were escorted to the children’s area to play with play dough, felt, books, and puppets. The kids area is great, filled with puzzles, animals, play tables, and books. On our way out, we stopped at the«for sale» section and I picked up a gently used board book for $.75! I am SO glad we decided to go, my dad got to see my son in his element, we love going to the library at home!

I am a big fan of public libraries since they are quickly disapperaring, however, I have had several bad experiences at the Maricopa location. Great books BUT In August, in 120 degree weather I was finishing a phone call up, literally saying goodbye as I walked through the doors. I stepped to the left the moment I entered the building and whispered my goodbye so I would not be outside in the heat anymore and before I could even say my goodbye a female employee yelled across the library«no phone allowed, end your call». I said goodbye, walked right up to her and told her if she was not a volunteer I am sure the library would not CHOOSE to have you work here because you’re screaming across the building was more disruptive then my call. Talk about rude.
