I took my computer there thinking it had a virus. I was told it was the motherboard and I should just buy a new computer or pay $ 300.00 to get it fixed. I paid the $ 50.00 diagnostic fee and brought the computer home where my husband tried to look into the problem with it. It booted up and worked very slowly, but it worked. I tried to go online and we couldn’t connect to the internet anymore. After two days we took the computer to a competitor who added ram for $ 30.00. It is fast and the problems we were having were resolved, however we learned the internet connection problem was due to CPU removing some pieces from my computer that I had to replace. Wow! I strongly caution anyone from doing business with them. I couldn’t believe he harvested parts from my computer and charged me for the pleasure!

I was a customer at Prime Computer for over five years. Just recently I had caught a virus searching for a free UFC stream. In the past I’ve always handled viruses by myself as I know a good deal about computers. So after some investigation and diagnosis, I was able to remove the virus on my hard drive. The problem was that along with removing the virus, apparently I removed some core files from the registry. Being old and impatient I decided to take the computer to my ‘friends’ at Prime computer. They informed me that the hard drive was fail and that I would need to salvage data and replace the drive. Hilariously enough, this was a blatant lie. Later that day, I saw the technician at the bank, I approached him with a smile and said hello as I would with anyone I’ve known for that long. His reply to me in line at the bank in front of six other people was, «I don’t want to talk to you, I’m not at work». I was pretty shocked because I have never had any problem with him. I never expect anyone to be especially nice, but I do expect people to be polite, specially to a five year customer. I said, «uh ok, I’m sorry you’re having a bad day, I hope it gets better for you». I was completely furious. There was no reason to be rude, a simple civilized hello back would have been sufficient and avoided this review from being written. At that point I had decided that there was no possible way for me to give them one more red penny of my money. The next day, I went and picked up my computer, when she(not the technician one of the owners) asked, «You don’t want to repair»? I said no, thanks, I’ll do it myself. So here’s what happened… the hard drive Western Digital Raptor 10,000RPM was perfectly fine. I backed up my important files to laptop, wiped the drive and made a partition using free software from the interweb, installed win 98 with a free key and then upgraded to my copy of xp… then I decided that I’d had enough of xp, I went to the microsoft site and dled a bopy of win7. From this last experience I found out that Prime computers’ business practice is RUDE and deceptive, really too bad. I wonder how many other times I was lied to to make money??? And the saddest part, I thought these were my friends.
