Pretty decent food. Good atmosphere. Nothing to complain about here. The staff was friendly. The place was clean and inviting.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. I drove up to this old brick building that is painted in red. The inside is very cute but painted in dark colors so it made the dining room dark. I was greeted by a very nice server who showed me to my table. The menu is very simple and small. If you’re looking for something healthy there is none. I tried the blueberry and granola pancake, two eggs, chicken sausage, and biscuit. The pancake was light and fluffy and came with a side of homemade whipped butter and cinnamon flavored syrup. Chicken sausage had a great flavors but it was a little too salty for my taste. Now the biscuit. Let me tell you. It doesn’t look appetizing from the outside. It looks kinda dry but when I opened it up it was very light and fluffy. It came with a side of homemade whipped butter homemade apricot jam and homemade pineapple jam. It was out of this world. If I’m in the area I would definite go there but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

This place is a new favorite! My drive to work changed so much when I discovered this gem! The smokey scrambler with pork is my favorite but l love to stop in on my way to work and pick up an egg, cheese, and sausage biscuit. The biscuits remind me of good olé home cooked biscuit and the pineapple jam is a pleasant surprise. I hope they never move! Love the service and the food!

A wonderful experience from beginning to end. Staff greater and seated us quickly. We ordered from the brunch menu. My wife had the brisket hash and I had the open faced brisket grilled cheese. Both were awesome. Thanks in large part to the wonderful brisket in both dishes. It was perfectly trimmed with just the right amount of fat cap. Then there are the jams and syrups! So wonderful. Made in house and full of real flavor. We had pineapple and strawberry jam as well as brown sugar syrup that came with the toast on the hash plate. It was so good we ordered biscuits so we wouldn’t look like animals eating jam with spoons(We probably still looked like animals). Icing on the cake… Best biscuit I’ve had in a long long time. It also didn’t hurt that we had a Unilocal check in coupon and saved 15%. We Will return next time we are in town for sure.

I was underwhelmed by the experience after reading great reviews. There was only a few people in there when we walked in and we were seat right by the kitchen/office. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable. The wait staff was very nice. I got the pulled pork scramble and the pork had a ton of fat on it. There was very little actual pork. My husband did get a custom biscuit and it was good. Overall, it wasn’t bad. I wish the atmosphere was better.

I love this place when I travel for business here. Not quite«diner» but fast and friendly! Call in an order and never be disappointed. They do great cater trays too when visiting offices! Thank you!

Great breakfast/brunch The server was very helpful as this was our first visit. One of us had the Crooked Tree Breakfast — eggs, biscuit, house made chicken sausage & grits. The grits are very fluffy and cooked with bay leaves(we asked) that give them a savory taste reminiscent of Thanksgiving. The other person had the Smokey Scramble with Chicken — fluffy scrambled eggs with smoked chicken served over red-skinned home fries with cheese. It’s warm and gooey in a great way. Biscuits & toast also come with house made jellies. Today we had blueberry jelly & guava jelly. Both were great! We will definitely be back. I’d post pictures but I was too busy eating to take them.

Very good!!! Wish they were in the square of Marietta instead, it just that good! Love there lunch menu and wish they had they same menu on the weekends. Must try springer mountain chicken plate, brisket grilled cheese and my husband like the smoked chicken wrap. Mac and cheese, fries and bbq broccoli are great! Oh yeah and the strawberry shortcake is wonderful!

Visited early Sunday afternoon and it was not vet crowded. Server was very friendly and knowledgeable. I opted for Chicken and Waffles. Chicken was well seasoned and crispy. It came with gravy and I was a bit hesitant to try it but was a good touch. Homemade brown sugar syrup was excellent addition. I will be back to try some of the other menu items.

Where some mom n pop cafes can fall short on creativity and quality ingredients, Crooked Tree excels. If you don’t mind a little heat in your eggs, don’t miss the veggie scramble, which includes Brussels sprouts and poblano peppers amongst other things. Like that they have good tea selection too. The seasonal spreads that came with the Crooked Tree breakfast were an unexpected treat(we loved the pineapple jam). The pulled pork BBQ sandwich impressed us as well.

This is probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Not only was the staff super friendly and attentive but the food was outstanding! I had the breakfast wrap. It was fresh, eggs were done just right. The biscuits and condiments(pineapple spread and sweet potato butter) are amazing! The pancakes were yummy. Fluffy and flavorful. Don’t eat here without trying their very own sausage. Can’t beat it. You can tell the owner/chef cares about serving up a good meal. To top it off, the place was clean and welcoming. Way to go, Crooked Tree!

We dined here for breakfast. Upon entering we were greeted with a smile from the hostess who seated us in the table for two that was in a cute little nook. Our server Mary was very sweet & checked up on us throughout the time we were dining. We ordered the Smokey Scramble, Breakfast Wrap and one Gingerbread Pancake that was more than enough food for two. The Smokey Scramble was delicious because of flavorful sauce that came with it on the side. The downside of this is that it was quite greasy. So, if you’re looking for something super healthy, this would not be it. The Breakfast Wrap was a much healthier option. However, I recommend the wrap to include more vegetables and a by more flavor. The egg was delicious, but it was overwhelming the entire wrap. I was thankful there was any green at all An idea would be to have a sauce option on the side which would allow for more flavor yet give each individual the option to leave the wrap as is. The special Gingerbread Pancake was flavored quite well. I was surprised the gingerbread flavoring was perfect! A negative aspect was that the pancake wasn’t as warm or fluffy as I’d expect. Random recommendation is about the chairs. As normal as they look, it was actually not comfortable. A reason why we didn’t stay as long was because the chairs weren’t comfortable. Maybe it’s just me? But I had to mention what we felt Overall, this place is just another breakfast spot if you need one. Mary mentioned they have special jams/syrup that is made by one of the chefs. Yet, she forgot to send it over to our table. Maybe the next time we come, we’ll try something else on the menu that might be a better selection? And possibly try the jams/syrup that is supposedly very delicious

Fantastic! Now I have only had breakfast, but the Smokey Scramble w/brisket is great! Pancakes are hit as well. Great price, great music, great service. Will be back to try the chicken and waffles.

Have only been for breakfast a couple of times. The food is good overall, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Pancakes are very, very well done and the home-made jam is quite good as well. Egg dishes have been a bit more uneven and the brisket was flat-out mediocre. It doesn’t warrant going out of your way to visit, but it’s certainly a good place to stop by if in the area.

Excellent! So many positives about this place! From the warm, countrydecor, the wide variety of music, the brown sugar syrup, and homemade jams, it’s hard to find something I didn’t like! So glad we veered off I-75 to try this local spot! Would definitely recommend. P. S. All bathrooms should smell like smoked meats like this place(crazy but true)!

If you want an egg scramble, this is your place. If you want a quick, friendly diner and don’t want to deal with Marietta Diner down the road, this is your place. If you like homemade preserves, this is your place. My family and I had a great meal here, all very much enjoying our dishes(different iterations of an egg scramble). The pineapple preserves were a nice surprise as well. Next time I’m going to try the lunch options… If I can get over my craving to eat the scrambler again.

We found the Crooked Tree Café and visited for the first time today. So glad we did. The service was beyond friendly. The prices were good and the food was PHENOMENAL. I cannot say enough about this little gem. Everything appeared to be homemade(which is something I personally love when selecting a restaurant). The homemade goodies ranged from the sausage(they have pork as well as chicken sausage) down to the biscuits and jellies . For our meal my husband and I both tried the Smoked Brisket Hash.(Caramelized Onions & Peppers over Red Bliss Potato Hash & Topped w/2 Eggs, Seasoned w/Crooked Q BBQ Sauce). Probably the best brisket I have ever had. It also came with white toast which was perfectly lightly toasted and had a slight taste of butter which was a surprise because youcould not see that the chef had put butter on it but it definitely had a light butter taste. While I am not really a biscuit person we also each tried a biscuit. We asked for the homemade jellies and a side of gravy so that if we didn’t like one we could try the other. O.M.G. Probably also the best biscuit I have ever had. Super soft and unlike most other biscuits these did NOT fall apart! I was really impressed. The sausage gravy was devine but those homemade jellies… ooohhhh those sweet homemade jellies… lol The had Strawberry which was great and nothing like other strawberry preserves from a jar. The other was even better and it was peach mango. Just a little piece of heaven. The place has a super charming feel and plenty of parking. They have dinner offerings which range from feeding 4 – 8 and come with meat and sides. We will give that a try another time. That being said, I really don’t think you would be disappointed in paying them a visit.

I like this little spot!!! I stopped by for lunch after leaving work early(I work up the street from this place), I wasn’t feeling good so I didn’t eat much. The lunch item I ordered was something different, BBQ Brisket Grill Cheese, never heard of it, but it was actually pretty good. It came with fries, I’m on the fence with the fries, they just seemed a bit too oily for my taste. I order a water to drink. The service was great, I dined alone so my order came out fast and I was checked on often. The waiter was really nice and very attentive. The restaurant was super clean. I would like to return to try out the breakfast menu, prices seems very reasonable. FYI:This place is a bit hidden, so if you are not looking you just may pass it by. Look for a RED Building with a crooked tree… LOL

3.5÷5 I came here with my sister for breakfast around 10am on a Friday. There’s a parking lot beside the restaurant with plenty of spots. There were only 3 other groups there at the time so there was no wait to be seated. The wait staff was friendly and the restaurant was spacious. Food: +Blueberry Granola Pancakes — We got the short stack which was 2VERYLARGE pancakes that came with syrup and butter. Tbh, the pancakes were quite underwhelming. The granola wasn’t crunchy which isn’t a huge deal, but the pancakes themselves weren’t good. The pancakes had this dense, chewy texture as opposed to light and fluffy. Wouldn’t order these. +Veggie Scramble over a potato hash — This was quite delicious! The potato pieces were crispy and the veggies were incorporated into the scrambled eggs well. The dish came with a piece of plain toast which was fine, but I wish there were jams/jelly that came with it. +Coffee — Sadly, not good. Overall, this place was pretty good, especially for the price. I’m on the fence about whether I’d come back again though. I think I would to try other items on the menu because the overall Unilocal rating for this place is pretty high so maybe I just wasn’t ordering the right things.

Buttery, toasty, creamy, tangy, cheesy, crisp, fresh, salty-crunch and the best pickles I wanted an entire plate not just a few as a garnish. These are the words to describe my Pimento Cheese Sandwich — House Recipe Pimento Cheese, Local Spring Mix, Toasted Sour Dough — served with house cut fries. A nice little café just off Cobb Parkway. Lovely service too.

I think this place might be better for brunch, but we unfortunately got there after they’d switched over to the lunch menu. The service was good and friendly and they have a free lot outside but past that everything was pretty mediocre. We tried the BBQ pork fries appetizer, pimento cheese sandwich, BBQ brisket grilled cheese, bacon potato salad, and grilled veggies. I really enjoyed the smoky flavor of the pulled pork on the fries and the brisket grilled cheese was probably the most flavorful thing we had but I can’t rave about it. The pimento cheese sandwich was terrible. It wasn’t mixed at all so had huge chunks of cream cheese and individual pieces of shredded cheese. They either should have mixed it better or served it warm so it melted together. I mean I love cheese and am pretty non discriminatory but even I couldn’t eat it. The fries themselves weren’t my favorite, but were fun with all the toppings. The bacon potato salad was OK and grilled veggies had a nice seasoning on them. If I were in the area before 11 I might try the breakfast/brunch menu but I’m not that excited to come back.

I am so glad I gave Crooked Tree another chance after the Mother’s Day fiasco. Chef Jeff uses a lot of local, sustainable food and it’s obvious he takes pride in it. I can’t believe the lunch is as good as the breakfast! I ordered the Twisted Southern Brisket Bowl. It’s the most expensive item on the lunch menu($ 12) but absolutely worth it. It’s a sizable portion and you can tell the pork is smoked for twelve hours. It’s moist and fall-off the bone tender. It’s good even without the sauce which was just as tasty. The side of crisp green beans were not over-cooked and very fresh. The grits weren’t as good as I remember but my absolute favorite(in addition to the barbecue) was the house pickled vegetables. They are sweet and sour and complimented the barbecue perfectly. The chef also accommodated my allergies which is very important. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it even without the Scoutmob and I’m certain, I’ll be back!

I went here with a co worker and I absolutely loved it. I loved the option of half and half. Portion size is great! We both had a sandwich — I can’t recall the name buy it was definitely a great reason to come back. The staff is super friendly and the environment is spotless. Get crowd was in there as well — plenty of doctors and nurses. Oh and they serve breakfast all day! How can you go wrong with breakfast all day? Oh that’s right — you can’t! I’ll definitely be going back!

The hubby and I have a new favorite brunch spot! We have been here twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch, and both occasions were exceptional. On the first visit we ordered the sweet potato pancakes and the hubby ordered the Smoked Brisket Hash plate. Not only did he devour his entire meal in record speed, when it was all gone he came after my pancakes! They were, by the way, little pillows of sweet potato filled heaven covered in sinful brown sugar syrup. That breakfast had us coming back a few weeks later for lunch, which consisted of Egg and Olive Salad Sandwich on toasted sour dough bread and fries for me. For the hubby, a chopped BBQ Brisket Grilled Cheese on jalapeño corn bread. Spectacular! I love that the menu is small and that nearly EVERYTHING is made from scratch and has a twist. YUM! The hubby and I love Crooked Tree Café. We will definitely be back for more, and we are bringing friends! This place is too good to go to only once or twice.

Let’s start with Mmmmmm! My husband and I stopped here on a whim trying to find another breakfast/lunch place. We both opted for breakfast because the descriptions sounded so yummy! I ordered the Mushroom Scramble with a side of sausage, and my husband ordered the Smoky Scramble. Let me just tell you, both our entrees were delicious! They use fresh vegetables and herbs and the taste just mesh together beautifully! Both my husband and I will be here again! Go ahead guys, try this place out, you will not be disappointed!

Delicious. I had the mushroom scramble and my boyfriend had the smokey scramble and I’m pretty sure neither of us said a word to one another the entire time we had food on our plates. Which may be a selling point for those of you that can’t stand the sound of your significant other’s voice. I added on a side of Waldrep’s North Georgia sausage– mouth-watering. It was your typical spread for a breakfast place with some interesting combinations, the atmosphere was cozy, and the waitress was friendly without being imposing. Great place for a late breakfast on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Every thing on the menu has a twist, which I love! Did I mention they make their own sauces, jams and jellies, smoke all their meats in house and use local ingredients? That is exactly what separates the good places from the amazing places. I got the breakfast wrap($ 6.00) which chorizo, spinach, white cheddar and scrambled egg in a wheat tortilla. This was a great choice on my part. The perfect blend of breakfast meat(if you’re Hispanic) with healthy mix-ins and wrapped up to perfection. I got a roasted banana pancake on the side which my boyfriend loved. I also got a sweet potato pancake with I loved. They top the pancake with a topping that denotes the filling on the inside and that was a great touch. Oh, and thank you for automatically giving me warm syrup with my delicious pancakes. My boyfriend got the veggie scramble($ 7.50) which he loved. It had roasted cauliflower, white cheddar, and potato hash all scrambled up together. I thought it was too bland for my taste so this is a great choice for health nuts but not for for folks like me who like to be punched with their food. I am so glad we came with the Scoutmob offered. This place is my new OTP spot for good breakfast/brunch. It’s not often that you find such a refined place on this side of town. The wait staff is sweet as pie and the décor is country rustic. The prices are very reasonable too. Yes, I“ll be back and I“m bringing friends and family too.
