I had very high expectations for this business and desired to book my daughter’s birthday party there. However, once I arrived I was met by a woman who didn’t smile very much in my opinion and had a frenetic, unwelcoming energy. I expected a friendlier personality from who I believed to be the face of the business and ultimately would interact with the kids, :-) There were children there during my tour and they appeared related to the owner. It was a distraction and a bit unprofessional. Additionally, the areas looked cramped, cluttered and not the standard I consider suitable for my daughter’s birthday. However, I would possibly consider it for a playdate but I like my daughter treated extra special and I’m not certain that would happen here. Finally, I was EXTREMELY turned off by her emphasis on the party starting LATE! She told me that IF the party starts late we would not be able to do certain activities. Fine! I completely understand that, but it was HOW the rules were relayed! I felt punished already and I would definitely be on time! Lol it was a touch too much. Also l, the mandatory gratuity gave me pause. WOW! Although I ALWAYS tip, I ONLY like the option of tipping accordingly.

i had a birthday party for my daughter and bought the deal off of groupon. i called to book the party and informed the lady that my daughter was celebrating her 6th birthday. i went ahead and booked with the expectation that i would be bringing cake and maybe pizza and singing to my daughter at the end of the party. i called a few days before the party to see what foods i was allowed to bring in and was told that i could not bring a cake in unless i paid a $ 50.00 cake fee and another $ 150.00 to rent the room for 30 minutes. i was then told that those details were in the fine print which she said alot of parents don’t read when booking through groupon. i was then told that i could call groupon and request a refund three days before my party. i will take responsibility for not reading the fine print, but knowing that it happens frequently, i think she should have at least mentioned it so that i was aware. once the party was over, i took the kids to a nearby mcdonald’s where the manager allowed us to bring in cake, sing happy birthday, and even brought the girls out complimentary ice cream and toys. if the owner was really about business, she would have handled that differently and in turn would have gotten at least 5 referrals that day. instead, i had to explain to the parents why we had to leave one location and travel to another when we could have at least been allowed to sing happy birthday and cut the cake. the manager at mcdonalds was so nice and accomodating and in return received a very generous tip which she shared with her crew members. its not that hard to be accomodating to the people that patronize your business and drove and hour to do so…
