I have seen Dr. Kinney for over 10 years now, and he is the only dentist that my family trusts. Prior to Dr. Kinney I saw another dentist who tried to sell me on LOTS of services and treatments, and sadly, I had let that fraud drill into y teeth, only to have Dr. Kinney tell me that the dentist had drilled into healthy tooth and then filled it with sealant(not actual filling), and that we should sue that previous dentist, and that he would help us testify. I was horrified, but definitely felt more at ease with Dr. Kinney, who fixed the damage, without charging excessive fees, and while we never did press charges, we did tell that previous dentist what we knew, and he dropped the charges. Before our wedding, my husband went to «dentist in a box(Coast Dental… grrr), who told him he needed over $ 8K to fix things in his mouth(he had not been to dentist in a decade, so there was definitely a case for serious work), including prescribing expensive treatments for what they called stage 2 irreversible periodontal disease. I was suspicious, especially because that clinic was not friendly and did not provide any x-rays or proof, so we got a second opinion from Dr. Kinney, who informed us that he DIDNOT have periodontal disease, and instead of $ 8K, it was about half the cost to fix his issues, and of course the staff was able to work out a payment plan and schedule of care under Dr. Kinney’s advice so we could fix the issues in order of what was most pressing. Now my whole family sees He is typically a little over the Usual and Customary charges, so be aware of that with your insurance company, though the staff will help you coordinate care and even provide a list of the costs if you ask. I do not mind paying a little extra for excellent care and a quality experience, as well as honesty. Dr. Kinney«shoots straight and doesn’t try to Up sell you».
