Marietta Eye Clinic Powder Springs

I came in for my eye exam and I have to say this place is awesome!!! Both the doctor and his assistant were excellent and they made sure I understood what was going on with my eyes. Even the front desk staff were so nice and friendly. I look forward to another visit. I highly recommend this office to anyone needing any eye services.

These people are the best if you have eye problems. They are A++ and 10 of 10. I went to them in December because I had a cataract which was getting very bad and was having trouble seeing with my other (left) eye. They were very thorough in checking out my eyes, something which other optometrists had not done in the last few years. I went back in February and they went over the procedures for the cataract operation and again checked out my eyes. They scheduled another visit in late February to check out my eyes after my contacts had been out for a week and scheduled the operation for March.
The operation in March was at their surgical center in Marietta and was done by Dr. Corwin. The staff was very thorough and highly professional. The operation went well and they removed the cataract and put in the new lens. The new lens in a follow up visit now allowed me to see with ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision out of my right eye. On the follow up Dr. Corwin had me schedule an appointment with Dr. Russell so they could try to correct the disparity between the two eyes.
I went to see Dr. Russell in April and after another exam, he was able to determine I needed a specialty contact and they ordered one for me which he said he thought would correct the problem. I got the new contact in two weeks on another follow up and was now able to see with ²⁰⁄₂₅ vision from this (left) eye.
In short, I went to Marietta Eye Clinic in December and was barely able to see and by the end of April I now had ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision in one eye and ²⁰⁄₂₅ vision in the other eye. Nothing short of miraculous!
I read another review in which the main complaint was about having to wait. Did I have to wait? Yes, sometimes but the result was well worth it and the complaint seemed very petty compared to the care I received at Marietta Eye Clinic from both the staff and the doctors.

I called Marietta Eye Clinic to be seen by an ophthalmologist as my eye was red, vision was blurry, it hurt like hell and was extremely sensitive to light. They have several locations — however, the closest one to where I work was closed that day and they told me they had an opening at their Powder Springs location.
I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time and filled out all of the necessary paperwork. My appointment was at 10:40 and 45 minutes later I was summoned back to the exam room. The intake person checked my vision, took notes of my symptoms, etc. and said the doc would be in shortly. Approx. 15 minutes later, Dr. Russell came in. He was very nice. Said I had scratched my eye severely and put a drop in it to alleviate the pain. He prescribed a drop to decrease the swelling and told me to come back in 3 days for a recheck. I asked if I could go to the Windy Hill location as it is much closer to my work. He said that was fine and off I went. My visit with Dr. Russell was about 10 minutes.
So, I struggle with the rating on this review as I liked Dr. Russell. He was professional and informative. However, the fact that this appointment lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes with my time with the doc being 10 minutes, leaves my unhappy.
