As far as Welcome Centers go, this is a great one. I guess I’m more used to state-line welcome centers off the highway, so that may be what I’m basing my review on. The Marietta Welcome Center is rad for a few reasons. First there is a ton of helpful information to discover about Marietta businesses, history and events. Plus, there are two bathrooms that you can use during any event in the square or even if you’re just walking around on your own. The women behind the counters are so friendly and helpful. Definitely talk to them if you have any questions.

Location is near Marietta Square — great starting point for touring the historic downtown. Lots of brochure and information about local businesses and history of the town. They show a short video, but we only caught the last few minutes. I recommend taking a brochure for the Historic Walking/Driving Tour — it’s well-written and gives additional history of the town as well as an easy-to-follow map of the landmarks. They offer a driving audio CD, which we did not elect to use(not sure if they charge for it or if it is a rental).
