Best value in East Cobb. Todd is my favorite. She gives the best clipper cuts and at a great price.

Best Barber Shop in East Cobb. They know you by name and know your cut. They have cut boys and Dad’s for several generations.

I went here because my usual barber shop was closed for Labor Day weekend. I asked if he knew how to do a high and tight, was told yes. Well let’s just say he did not know how to cut a high and tight. After multiple corrections I finally decided that it was time to leave, regardless of the quality of the cut. Adding insult to injury, it cost me $ 18.00. So, in a nutshell I asked for a high and tight, did not get anything resembling a high and tight, and paid significantly more than I would at my usual barber shop. Never. Going. Back.

My family moved to Atlanta in March of 1989 and I can count on one hand the number of times I have had my hair cut elsewhere since then. Apart from the location change from Merchant’s Walk to Merchant’s Exchange over fifteen years ago this place has remained very consistent. The owner, Jerry, has been there since the beginning and I always made sure to drive back to Marietta even when I moved into the city to have him cut my hair. Now that I am back in Sandy Springs it is a very quick drive back over to Marietta too. Oh and the fact that BBQ1 is down the street gives me another incentive to make the trip. It is such a rarity today to go into a business and have someone who really knows you. Jerry always asks me how life is and brings up specific details he knows about me that I would never expect anyone to remember. My father went here as well until my parents moved out of state a couple years back, but he still tries to make a stop in to get a cut when he is here on business or to visit. I also love being able to avoid the madness of Supercuts et al while still paying about the same price. Most of the other barbers who work here have stayed the same for years as well with little turnover. There are definitely no kids running around with scissors working a summer job or interns either. I guess I have just never understood the concept of having to make an appointment to get your hair cut if you are a guy. In and out and off you go!
