Q Tailor

I gave this place two opportunities to earn my long-​term business since it’s close to my house. I’ll be looking for something else because I prefer a more expert tailor who doesn’t judge her customer’s fashion preferences.
The first time I needed to alter a business dress for it to be more fitted. When I put it one and explained how I want it to fit in the back, the lady started saying it will take a lot of work and she’ll have to take the whole dress apart. When I suggested to make just 2 seams in the back deeper, which will give me what I want, she seemed puzzled but said, «I guess it will work.» Yes, it worked just fine and for only $ 7, not «a lot of work» that she wanted to do and charge me for.
The 2^nd time I came here, I had 2 pants that I wanted to make shorter. I put them on and she started to make a very classic crease at the bottom of my foot. I asked her to make it even shorter, more of an ankle length. She actually raised her eyebrows and asked, «Really?» I suppose given her older age she’s not aware that ankle length in pants is very popular right now. Still, I didn’t appreciate her response.
I will be looking for a different place.

Small business, looks like it’s run and worked by a single lady, who was quite nice and efficient. She hemmed up 4 pairs of pants in 3 business days without any fuss. Finished product looks good.
