Staples the Office Superstore

I had to return an item today and because of the nature of the return I was expecting a challenge. Instead I got a prompt refund with no argument. Thank you Barry!

I am cautiously raising this Staples to three stars. I was in here today, because they were the only store that had something I was looking for. Amazingly, a young man, an employee, came up to me and asked me if I needed help. He then took me directly to what I was looking for and also advised me to ask for a lower price than what the item was marked, because the on line price was cheaper. Excellent! This is the type of service that was missing for years at this Staples location. I just hope they continue with this level of service. The cashier was also cordial.

I was on the hunt for my favorite pens… the Opti Flow Staples brand pens. Bad news was this store was totally out. I am thinking to myself, since its your brand pen, then it should definitely be stockeD, but whatever. The bright spot in my whole experience at this store, was the cashier named Adrianna (?). She welcomed me with the biggest hello and brightest smile. She actually told me that I had a pretty smile and I returned her comment telling her that she was very welcoming and cheery. I told her that good customer service is hard to find. She responded by saying, «I’m just happy to be here.» That warmed my day!!! Please hire more people like this.

I feel that this place does not deserve the rating that it has. Yes you will be on hold for a while and in line for a while, but that is because they are busy!!! This is the only office supply store in this area and while I believe they are understaffed, the staff they do have do an exceptional job and make sure that your needs are met. Case in point, I go up there twice a month for our mail outs, one of them requires that it be folded a certain way to mail. This lady spent the time to make sure that each one was folded correctly according to how I asked this saving me the find to back track. That is exceptional service and there prices are very fair for what you get. Plus they have what I need ALWAYS! We use clear mailing seals and when I visited another company they weren’t just out of them, they didn’t even have it in stock. Not this place, they had an abundance; which really made me happy because I got to stock up on them so I didn’t have to worry about running out. This is the only office supply store I would use even if they weren’t the only place in a high service area.

Claims they will price match to Amazon but when you actually try to price match a product they will decline it regardless of what they claim. According to a store associate they will only go down by $ 10 to price match so it’s not even a true price match. They also won’t even match a price when the manufacturer sells the same exact product for less.

I am so over wasting my time trying to have things printed at this location, this store is not a dependable resource for any professional who may have a deadline. This location has employees that do not know how to operate their own equipment, lady don’t tell me your bond copier only prints up to 48 inches when it is a continuous roll paper feed, manager said «well it can but she doesn’t know how» seriously?!? My client is going to take that response very well. Staples on Dallas Hwy be expecting a bill from me for my lost time and lost clients. Lastly, the manager Nina has no time or concern for improvements and does not care if her store looses business, somebody at corporate needs to step in or this store will close soon just like the Hiram location…
