I always love trying new things. And the combination of Latin and Asian sounded intresting. Walked in and we waited for about 20 min during lunch time. The restaurant has a clean modern décor. The combination of foods are nicely put together. With every bite you taste both Latin and Asian in any dish. The avocado rolls are to die for… love avocados! The sauces complement them very well. The nachos are also great they come with fried cheese filled wonton that were so good. I will definetly be back and try other dishes!

Great tacos and atmosphere. I recommend the pacific rim and asada zing tacos. The queso dip is also tasty.

My husband brought me here for date night. We’ve never tried this place but have walked by many times while on the Square. I’ve never tried a Latin Asian Fusion restaurant so I was excited to see the different menu items. Drinks 1st right?! They have a big variety of signature cocktails from margaritas to sangrias. I ordered the Dragonberry Mojito which is the definition of a girli drink but, it was very very with flavors of mint, strawberries, and lime. My husband ordered the Jalapeño Cilantro Margarita which was a very interesting taste but, very good and I will definitely order it next time I go back. The margarita was sweet, spicy, and sour in one sip and I enjoyed the bite from the jalapeño and Chile lime salt rim! What’s drinks without appetizers?! There were many to choose from and they all looked interesting but, we decided to go with Avocado Cilantro Egg Rolls which the waiter recommended. The egg rolls were stuffed with avocados then fried and served with Thia chili sauce and Santa fe ranch sauce(I could put this sauce on everything!). We decided to try their tacos since that’s what they are known for! I had the Thai Chicken Taco which was Teriyaki chicken topped with a cabbage salad and drizzled with Thai peanut dressing. I thought the taco was good but, felt like the peanut sauce was a tad over powering. I also had the Rising Son Taco which is Vietnamese pork topped with Kogi BBQ sauce and Asian slaw. I really enjoyed this taco and was thought it was de-lish!!! My husband ordered the Asada Zing Taco and WOW this taco takes the cake because it was the best out of all the tacos and all the tacos were good! The steak was tender and had great great flavors then topped with shitake mushrooms and a soy-sesame sauce! Tissue taco is a must! He also ordered the Pacific Rim Taco which had grilled chili Mahi and topped with lettuce, pico de gallo and hoisin lime aioli. Order this taco and thank me later– I could eat 5 of these tacos! So good! If you are looking for a great restaurant with a cool vibe and great dishes with awesome flavors this is your place! I’ve already requested to come back here again for date night!

Yum! Yum! Yum! Some of the tastiest tacos I have ever eaten! We had their avocado egg rolls to start off with a spicy ranch and a sweet and spicy Asian sauce and they were to die for. Our server, Laura, was fantastic. She knew the menu like the back of her hand and after we told her it was our first time there, she pointed out a few of the house favorites and answered any questions we had. I had the shrimp tempura taco, the Thai chicken taco and a side of garbanzo bean salad. I couldn’t decide which one I liked better. They were all perfectly seasoned and sauced so there was no need to alter the food once it came out. It was so flavorful and cooked perfectly that I ate every bite! Not sure what Luke had but one minute I looked up and he had a plate full of food then the next it was completely empty. I think it’s safe to say he enjoyed it just as much as I did. We will definitely be back for more.

This place is amazing! Stopped in on the way from Atlanta to Nashville & had amazing food. The tacos are each totally different With Rich flavors and the service was great. They were super busy but we didn’t wait long for a table or our food or drinks. The tofu tacos were my favorite and I will definitely be dreaming of them until I go back! :)

If you’re in the Marietta Square and looking for somewhere fresh and delicious to have lunch(or dinner or second lunch, I’m not judging), go here! I’ve never had a bad experience and I’ve visited often. The guacamole is fantastic and always looks like someone just made it with the freshest ingredients. The two taco plate is a great deal and just enough food to not make you feel like an unproductive blob. I would suggest the Pacific Rim(yummy grilled Mahi with fresh pico) taco and the Rich Man’s taco(deliciously seasoned beef with creamy queso). Everything tastes great, the atmosphere is very un-stuffy, the music is nice… you can’t go wrong, man.

Great food located just 15 minutes north of Midtown, Atlanta! I ordered three appetizers; the nachos, the won-tons, and the chips & dip. All of them were great but the won-tons definitely were the best! For my entrée I ordered three tacos and my favorite one was the Asian taco(I forgot the exact name of it). It was very tasty! I good blend of sweet & spicy flavors. Overall I had a good experience here, If you are in the area definitely check it out!

Fun, fresh, light and flavorful! You really can’t go wrong here. Service is prompt and friendly. Very light hearted atmosphere. Tacos and salads are phenomenal. You must try the jalapeño cheese tots if you need a little spice in your life!

Even though this place is all the way out in Marietta(~30 minutes from Midtown, if you take the highway), the trip is worthwhile because the short rib nachos(not sure the exact menu name) are out of this world. I’m not a huge fan of the rest of the menu(typical Tex-Mex — which is a dime a dozen in Atlanta — with attempts at Asian fusion here and there). Three stars because the overall menu is weak, but those short rib nachos, man…

There is only 2 reasons why you give this place more than 3 stars: 1 your wife, fiancé, gf, or yourself, currently, are horrible cooks. 2 you were drunk. The menu is great. Everything looks great and intriguing. However, the food is sub-par. We will start with the sides. «Jalapeño cheese tots.» It’s regular tater tots with Jalapeño cheese on the side. You think based on the menu it’s a unique twist, but it’s not. It’s generic and frozen. It’s tomfoolery is what it is. I got short rib quesdillas. The abundance of bbq sauce was masking the generic white flat tortilla. That’s right a white basic tortilla. Even the most BASIC restaurants offer different tortillas selections. Not this one; this is all this place is, is basic.

Great neighborhood to stroll before or after your meal. Free parking can take some effort during peak periods in the summer time. But its well worth it. The fusion twist with Mexican food is fun and refreshing. Avocado Cilantro egg rolls, Asian Nachos with Kogi bbq short ribs, guacamole fresco, shrimp de fuego are excellent starters(not all of them at one sitting-lol, they are very filling) I’ve been to two locations and the staff is noticeably young at both locations… However, the good news here… they are some of the most courteous and conscientious staff I’ve come across in my dinning experience, which makes you feel like a valued patron. The drink menu has some fun twist too(beer fans will have fun too)…If you dine here it’ll become a regular in your rotation… For the budget conscious and foodies, it’s a must try, ask your server for help to narrow down your selection. Enjoy!

Came here on Sunday around 6 pm, asked for a table for 4 and were seated immediately. I’m not from around Marietta but we have friends that live here and they suggested this place since they’ve been there once and really liked it. The food was pretty good. Not the greatest service but not worth complaining over. As an appetizer we ordered the empanadas. They offer 3 different fillings: Beef, thai chicken or short rib. They give you 3 nice size pieces, but they don’t let you have different fillings. You can only get 1 filling. That was disappointing, we would like to have taste 3 different ones. Oh well, so we ordered the Thai chicken since the waiter said thai chicken and short rib are the most popular ones. I ordered the Thai chicken since I planned on ordering the Short rib quesadilla as my entrée. Anyway they empanadas were good, and it came with a peanut dipping sauce. As my entrée I ordered the Short rib quesadilla as my entrée. Although they gave me a the shrimp quesadilla, It looked good and the rest of my table got there meals correct and I didn’t feel like waiting for them to correct it. The rest of my table already had their correct meals and I didn’t want anyone to feel bad about eating there food while I would have to wait for mine. Besides I do like shrimp and it looked good so I ate it. And it was tasty and good amount of shrimp. The waiter didn’t come back soon enough to check on how we were doing. I was almost finished with my quesadilla so I didn’t bother telling him I go the wrong order. The rest of my table ordered a variety of tacos and everyone seemed to like what they ordered Each plate comes with a side. I ordered the chips and salsa which were ok, nothing really special. My husband side was yuca fries, it was ok too a little on the dry side. My friend ordered the jalepeno cheese tots, which is basically regular plain tots with a ramikin of queso with jalepenos. We all enjoyed our food. The area which is called the Marietta Square could be cute to walk around if you get there early enough. Most of the shops close at 6 pm. There’s also a park right across the street. Nice date place if your in the area.

After arriving in Atlanta, I decided I needed some tacos and Asian fusion. I spent the last few months in Asia itself, and for whatever reason, this taco idea held great appeal for me. I visited Marietta Square and stopped in to Taqueria Tsunami. The first thing I noticed is that the place was BUSY. It was Sunday afternoon, so this was to be expected, but the place was absolutely packed. I don’t mean this in a bad way, because it was still spacious at the tables, but the staff definitely had its hands full. This was especially true for the bar, which took quite a while to get a margarita out to my girlfriend. However, given the sheet number of people, I think this is totally okay. I only mention the crowd to warn you that you might need to wait for a slot if you go right at lunch time on a weekend. The tacos themselves were pretty good — they were fresh and flavorful. I had bbq ribs, shrimp tempura, and the server’s suggestion, a Thai chicken. I loved the bbq and shrimp, but was surprised that I didn’t care for the Thai. It had too much peanut sauce, but that’s a personal preference. Others might like it. Overall, the experience was a good one. I felt it was just a little bit expensive for what you got — especially where the drinks are concerned. The margarita was good but just too small for the $ 7 price. I think the tacos were fairly priced, though I would have preferred mine just a little bit more warm. As I re-read what I wrote above, it probably sounds like I’m nit-picking. The place is good, and the salsa is a special standout. I would recommend it, but be careful with the drinks. There are probably better options nearby.

I’m not quite sure what the rave is about this place, but I’ve certainly experienced better. I visited for lunch with a good friend, and the company saved the visit. Thankfully. Service was slow. Granted it was right at the end of the lunch hour, but there were enough servers. Our server seemed absent. She was nice enough, but just sort of blank and absent. The tacos weren’t as small as everyone indicated. They were of good size, and actually were quite tasty. The shrimp tempura one was yummy, as was the beef bulgoki one. Didn’t care for the aloha pineapple combination, but that could have been because I was full. The margarita I had was off, and I ended up sending it back. I did notice that not many people were drinking. Maybe because it was lunchtime? Also, just a tidbit– the cheesy tater tots sidedish comes as just tater tots with a side of cheese sauce. I didn’t get that part, so when it all came, I thought the cheese sauce went on one of the tacos, and proceeded accordingly. I was nearly done with the tater tots, wondering why they tasted like regular tater tots when it clicked that I was supposed to either dip or pour the cheese whiz onto to the tots– like at the movie theater. Over it, and this place. I’ll stick with Tin Lizzy’s or Blu Cantina for my «fancy» tacos.

Nice space. The front window seats are fine with views of the sidewalk and square, although maybe cold if winter sets in hard. This is a very popular lunch spot — it got crowded with a wait pretty quickly after 11:30 on a Thursday. Cucumber salad is divine. tangy, thin slices. I could eat three orders. Asada Zing Korean bulgogi taco — maybe as good as I’ve had anywhere. Thai Chicken taco — also tasty. The tacos are not large, so you might want three. Two with the side salad were fine for me. I also ordered avocado/cilantro egg rolls to go — a treat for the wife when she gets home late. They come with two dipping sauces, both good. The egg rolls were quite tasty although it would be better to have them fresh from the kitchen. Fine service. I’ll be back.

I would have rounded up to a 5… But just the size of tacos made me feel like I should round down… Parking — there’s street parking. Luckily my co worker saw public parking where we were stopped at and immediately got a spot! Someone was leaving haha. The lot is like a 5 min walk to here. Not bad at all. But. If you go at night, I would go with people. I’m not a fan of walking alone in the dark to restaurants. What can I say… I get iffy easily. Space — it’s kind of small. But then again, we went during lunch so it was packed! We had to wait maybe 10 mins. Not too bad. We would have sat outside, but it was cold :(once summer hits again, I’ll definitely use the outdoor seating. Marietta square seems pretty to look at on a pretty sunny day. Indoors — they do have lots of tables around. But if you have a big group(4+) you may have to wait a little. Service — we had great service. Spot on. Way to go guys! :) it was a really busy time so I could see servers were working hard. Food– Empanadas– each plate comes with 2. Easily cutable too! I rarely eat empanadas so not an expert, but they were good. Nice light app. Asian nacho with pork(?) — this app is pretty big. Has meat, cheese, lettuce/cilantro, tomatoes, and etc. Excellent app to have if you have a big party too. We ordered a lot of apps so we couldn’t finish this haha. I forgot the exact name… It was the avocado egg roll? Each dish had 4 of them. Not bad at all! I actually hate avocado, but these egg roles didn’t have any crazy amount of them. Other places I get these tend to emphasize them way too much. Glad this place knows a balance BTW– try all the sauces that come with the apps!!! Yumm. I even added some sauces to my tacos. Nom. Tasted better :) highly recommended. I ordered the tsunami trio — 2 tacos and a side. The thai chicken was delicious. The tofu taco was as well. In the tofu taco, it had a huge slice of tofu haha. I was like whoa, not cut up?!? But great regardless! Just that… The sizes were tiny. I was very happy my table ordered apps otherwise we would have been hungry afterwards! My side was just rice. Usually comes with beans but beans make me super sick so I requested just rice. My server was more than happy to do so :) I’ll be back!

Taqueria Tsunami probably has some of the best tacos I’ve ever had(or at least that I can remember). It’s located right off of Marietta Square. No dedicated parking, so you’ll have to find it around the square or along one of the side streets. My girlfriend and I got there on a Saturday night at around 8:30pm, and it was fairly crowded. Almost all the seats were taken. The décor of the restaurant was very nice. Had a very modern feel and took be my surprise considering the location. We started our meal with Guacamole. It was a huge amount of it too. Could easily be shared by 4 – 6 people. I’m thinking it would cost $ 10+ at any restaurant in Atlanta for this amount. And it was so fresh, with tomatoes, and perfectly seasoned. For our main course, we ordered 3 of the Tsunami Trio combos which is your choice of any 2 tacos and one side item for $ 8. We were both starving and couldn’t tell how big the tacos were, so we went big Tacos we ordered were… Asada Zing(Bulgogi) Rich Man’s(Marinated Filet) Gringo(Seasoned Beef) BBQ Short Rib Aloha(Grilled Teriyaki Chicken) Rising Sun(Shredded Pork) All of these tacos were absolutely amazing. And they were not small like we were thinking. Each one was packed with filling. My favorite would be a tie between the Short Rib, Rich Man’s, and Rising Sun. It’s hard to say which one was the best. The meat in these were all so good. The Gringo and Asada Zing were also really good. My least favorite was the Aloha, but it wasn’t bad; i’m just more of a red meat/pork guy. For sides we ordered the black beans and rice, tater tots, and fried yucca. Nothing too special here. The beans and rice were decent, and the fried yucca came with a nice chipotle mayo dipping sauce. The tater tots had a jalapeño taste. Pretty good. Also served with some sort of dipping sauce. After my girlfriend tapped out after the first 1.5 tacos, and me over-stuffing myself to finish the rest, we left about a taco and a half uneaten(a moment of silence). We were planning on desert, but we definitely over ate. Service was great. Food came out fast. Will be back for sure.
