Very good Chicago Dog and Chilie Dog. Go on an over cast day and sit at the counter. You will not know you are not in Chicago. The place is clean and the staff is friendly.

I was cordially greeted by a brother name GI. He made me a couple of chili cheese dogs which were highly delicious.

Food is good. Went there at 2:30 on a weekday and cook was in car out front smokin a cig. Said he would open up after his break. I was hungryyyy! Beef was good, really wanted it to be better than Chicago Delights but just didn’t happen! Next I will try the dog but for now 3 stars. Should be 2 with the service situation but we really need Chicago sandwich options in Atlanta!

I’ve eaten here a few times and everything has been delicious. I recommend the Italian beef sandwich with hot peppers, although all of their hotdogs and sausages are fantastic as well. And the Zapp’s Voodoo chips, you can’t just get them anywhere.

Great… this little place is perfect for a taste of my hometown. My mom and I came in this afternoon and were greeted with smiles from the cook and the owner. Very nice and laid back duo. I was happy to see how organized they had for the food prep. I was starving waiting for my Italian beef and I was given a hotdog to tide me over Bc we had a large order. That was delicious and my little one piped down and stopped kicking lol. When we got home, our food was still quite warm and my Italian beef was perfectly juicy and the peppers were hot but it wasnt overkill. I also had sauteed onions and had the sandwich dipped. It was phenomenal. My mom ordered two Chicago styled polishes annd she ordered my dad three Chicago hot dogs. He stopped in the middle of eating and said, «hey, these are pretty good» and finished up. Needless to say these three Chicago natives will be back for sure! It is a bit out of the way for us, but we will travel for good hometown food that’s done right.

This little place is great! I’ve been wanting to check it out and finally did. Had the Italian beef with peppers and it was incredible. Took my cousin who is originally from Chicago and she had the same. She was amazed to find such authentic Chicago sandwiches. I will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Not sure what else to say except EXCELLENT. I try something different each time and EVERYTHING has been to notch. The buns are soft but won’t fall apart. The toppings are generous. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Great place to eat! Inside is small so take note you may have to eat outside. Fortunately they have 3 large picnic tables and are all covered. Try the beef with the hot peppers!

Stopped here to fulfill a jonesin’ for a hot dog after a long run — great fuel, I know :) They offer the traditional array of sandwiches — Italian beef, chili dogs, Polish sausage and even tamales(hmm.). I went for two traditional Chicago-style dogs, held the chips and pop for my own Powerade. I’m a northwest Indiana native and love discovering places in Atlanta that can hold a candle to my region’s flavor. They delivered napkins to the patio table I sat at outside and when I went to throw my remnants away, they took them for me themselves. Had nice conversation with the employees about the business’s history and met a few other customers who happened to be regulars. Real friendly place, delicious, authentic dawg; I will definitely be heading back sometime.

If I could get this kind of Italian Beef sandwich closer to my hometown, I would be golden. So I occasionally wonder — when I really, really crave one of these, is the hour-long drive justified, when I have no other business in Cobb County that day? Maybe not, but it IS worth stopping in whenever I am close, even when I have other lunch or dinner plans later on(like I did on this most recent visit). I will happily grab one of these and«spoil» my appetite for anything else. Vienna rules!

Bratwurst — good Dipped Italian beef — pretty good Chili cheese dog — solid Chicago dog — good and proper poppy seed I will update to 4 or 5 stars after I try the polish with chili and cheese and couple of other items. Seems to be new but good owners, let’s just hope the quality control remains.

Very good place! Authentic Vienna products and the feel of a hot dog joint in Chicago. I also like the Italian Beef. It is as close to a classic Chicago Beef I have found down here. Really good bread, giardiniera, lightly dipped. delicious!

Did not realize this place was called Taste of Chicago until just now. Before today it was just Sketchy Hot Dog Stand or Sketch Dogs. It’s the weirdest looking building. It’s like a garden shed with a roof that was made for a house. That aside, this place rocks. The owner came down from Chicago twenty-something years ago and has been in the same location since. He still has a thick Chicago accent which is good. They have the classic Chicago junk food like Chicago dogs and Italian Beef, as well as Zapp’s potato chips. Unusual combo but they both happen to be things I love, so hats off. You would be hard pressed to spend more that $ 7 on a meal here, and seating is obviously very limited. They have one picnic table wedged into this tiny little shop. A word of caution as well: they close pretty early. Usually around 7, but I’ve seen him dip out earlier. Who can blame him though, he’s put in his time.
