What a wonderful time I had here! My first visit was to see Sanders Family Christmas, what I understand is an annual tradition and I believe will become one of mine. There isn’t a bad seat in the house. The sound is great and the tickets are so reasonably priced. The performers were unbelievable — it’s so nice to find such talent in my local area. Highly recommend!

It’s worth going OTP to see the great performances that this little theater provides year after year. I grew up about 2 hours outside of Atlanta, so it wasn’t always practical to come into the city regularly for cultural outings. Theater in the Square was our family’s seasonal favorite. We had tickets to everything! One of the most unusual and hilarious plays I’ve ever seen was«Wuthering Heights the Musical» several years ago. They do a set of comfortable, familiar tales every holiday season featuring the Sanders family – a fictional, WWI era family that travels and sings gospel. But don’t let these homespun tales fool you – this theater also experiments with more cutting edge and contemporary art as well.

Theatre in the Square has been in business for as long as I can remember. Located right off Whitlock on the Marietta Square, they are an old school styled playhouse, with a capacity for a nice medium sized crowd. They are currently running a special where you can combine dinning with one of a few restaurants on the square with the price of admission to their performance, which makes for a relatively nice priced night on the town in old Marietta. It’s been a bit of a while since I’ve been here but every performance I’ve seen has been entertaining and well done. They’ve been in the game so long that by now they know what they are doing. Check their website(linked here) for current shows and so on.
